@Arvin_Darred, it is more complicated than that but look up "replay protection" for this fork to see what i mean. It all comes down to IF there is consensus, and if coin fork, IF and HOW they implement replay protection. But as of now, there will be bad surprises for most expecting same as bch or even btg (which is an obvious scam)

@mrmstf, Yes, but read again about the replay protection part. If one chain gains favor and no replay protection is given until then, only one will stay and transations on one chain will also work on the other one, unlike bitcoin cash which has replay protection (and thus is separate).
To sum up : non negligeable risk of having no free coin, because the nature of the fork is different than BCH/BTG. Nothing to do with seriousness or not, but the nature of fork
