Since I'm mainly into cryptos, the main consideration for me is overnight risk. When markets are shaky, I do not want to have open positions when I'm not nearby. When the overall space is more conducive for swing trading, I'm more than happy to keep positions open longer and set bigger targets.
the crypto community needs to see this! so many people are using the terminology in reverse.
another one i like is people "shorting" when they just mean selling to buy back lower. big pet peeves.

Swing Trading for me - though it can be fun to try to mess around with day trades once in a while!
I feel like day trading needs more finesse.
However I am interested to learn day trading :)
