Practical Exercise - Identify Impulse and Corrective Moves Pendidikan

U.S. Dollar Currency IndexTVC

Huraian

Market moves can generally be categorised as either an IMPULSE move or a CORRECTIVE move.

A fast and strong move is described as an IMPULSE move.

A slow and weak move is described as a CORRECTIVE move.

Practical Exercise

1) Pick any currency pair, any timeframe, and identify the IMPULSE and CORRECTIVE moves on the chart.

2) Draw a line on the IMPULSE move; draw a box on the CORRECTIVE move.

3) Post your chart on the comment section below.

4) Repeat this practice on 2 other currency pairs.

*Refer to the first comment below for a sample of this practical exercise.

@akyong clear with the impulse and corrective moves...

could you please tell how long the ABC can be moved.? or which impulse waves, corrective moves. i mean how far the corrective can happen ?
and how do we know them ?
Alexander_Nikitin
there''re also moves that unite both impulsive and corrective features. these moves are called "diagonals". ending diagonal is known as a wedge pattern.
the box in the bottom of your chart resembles the leading diagonal. reference for elliot wave principle by frost and prechter.
