Man you love LTC...Why would it repeat that move? :p
ltc-joe
@IvanLabrie, Why not? : )

Plenty of fundamental things to be bullish about in addition to the charts:Lightning Network (could help steal some value from bcash), RSK (could help steal some value from ETH), eventually Confidential Transactions (could help steal some value from the privacy coins).

Could be wrong of course, but looks like a similar market cycle to me.

@btc_joe, I don't know, to me LTC is like Facebook, I hate it, I can't make an objective asessment so I don't trade it.
Charlie Lee turned his back on gpu miners, he can go to hell haha. Asic manufacturers bribed him to not change POW to keep ASIC resistance -LTC's only feature-...he's a sell out.
IvanLabrie
In my opinion, ASICs are a cancer of BTC, and any other currency mineable by them, it causes centralization of mining power.
ltc-joe
@IvanLabrie, Ummm, I mean I agree that miner centralization (which stems from ASICs) are certainly what I'm most worried about as a threat to btc (and I guess ltc as well)...but I think its sort of a necessary evil and there are still checks and balances on it. It's easy to say how bad it is but bitcoin is still going strong after 9 years, other alternatives to POW are yet to prove themselves on any type of grandscale with significant value/bounty to go after.
ltc-joe
@btc_joe, *is certainly
IvanLabrie
@btc_joe, these arguments keep Jihan and pals' mafia going. I don't know, I'm extremely skeptical. For now, ASICs cause centralization of mining, it's a fact, and a fundamental negative of any coin mineable by ASICs in my opinion.
ltc-joe
@IvanLabrie, Do you think centralization of mining will improve or get worse over time? Dragonsmint looks interesting, jury is still out on if they will be as good as btcdrak claims, but nonetheless I think more competition is healthy. And there are rumors taht more players on coming into the space. I think it will improve.
IvanLabrie
@btc_joe, if there are more and more asic manufacturers the situation would improve, but it'd still be at the mercy of these companies, basically. They have a conflict of interest, which GPU manufacturers don't.
ltc-joe
@IvanLabrie, hahaha wow, I totally disagree and love Charlie, I think he's a great leader. The miners didn't exactly like him when he helped force them to adopt segwit haha, but anyway definitely respect your opinion, maybe I'm too biased against ETH and you are too biased against LTC lol. Will be interesting to see how it plays out, part of it could also be simply being lucky enough to be the "other coin" listed on Coinbase as the flood of newbs continues to pile in haha.
