The current April Contract is going to expire soon and when it changes to May contract, the price of USOIL will jump straight to the price of May contract. At the moment, the price of May contract crude oil is already at 40. does it mean actually the oil has already reached the entry point ?
tntsunrise
dont worry, the USOIL here is a CFD, it will follow the active contract.
AlbertCheng
i m using CFD. Because of Contango, May future price is higher than April. So I have the same question, when Apr expires, the price might automatically higher, in that circumstances, is 40.2 still a good entry point for short?

I am your follower and have learnt a lot from you. Thanks

Hello! There was a switch last month. at least on my broker. Was on the 17th of February, just before close.

USOIL down mean SPX500 down mean = Gold down? I do not think Gold will down with USOil.
Yan_Lin_Yu
Recently, Gold is reacting opposite of Oil , so if USoil going down , Gold should be up

US Oil just rolled over from April to May contract, the price went up accordingly from $39.30 to $41 over. That's a big jump, I never traded CFD before so I am curious about the profit for this move: does any one make money on this increase? Let's say you hold a long on Friday closing time @ about $39.35, do you make $1.70 for the rollover from April to May? Thanks.
VForex
You don't , your broker simply closes the trade Friday night because contract expired.
