With the mempool decreasing and Sig V2 on the horizon I believe we will possibly set a new high at around 3400 blockchain.info/charts/mempool-size
In the chart you can see the break in trend so we are now back to an upward trend.

On a side note, isn't it strange/ironic that the mempool is now decreasing as we finally have consensus on scaling? I personally suspect the stories about miners spamming the mempool weren't totally unfounded.
