@cyberholz, another way to look at it: nothing went above the resistance/consolidation level @ 15700 since Dec 30, and XRP does not look to have the steam to cross it this time either. A short right now might be the safest thing you can do: this bull run needs another dip below 13000 before attempting the 15700 level again. The fractal shows a third dip to the below 13000 territory as well.
Look at the December 26 dip between number 14 and number 1. See how it's hitting the same bottom as dip 9 and dip 14? Where do our dips 9 and 14 point to? The 13000 support level. Don't fight the fractal, the fractal will win every time.

@MatissLiepins, On the contrary, last time Ripple started its bull run (event 1 on the chart above) - BTC USD was in the middle of a small bull run (From 12,000 to 16,500). So if BTC starts to run up, Ripple buyers might see that as a sign of stability and liquidity for their market and would then feel bullish as well.
