Sector Update: Financial

Financial stocks were declining premarket Wednesday with the Select Financial Sector SPDR XLF recently slipping by 0.6%. The Direxion Daily Financial Bull 3X shares FAS were over 1% lower and its bearish counterpart Direxion Daily Financial Bear 3X shares FAZ were up by more than 1%.

SiriusPoint SPNT said Siddharta Sankaran stepped down as chairman and chief executive officer to "pursue other opportunities." Shares of the company gained more than 8% recently.
