Net investment in Romania up 4.5% in Jan-Sept
BUCHAREST (Romania), December 9 (SeeNews) - Net investment in Romania’s economy grew by 4.5% on the year in the first nine months of 2022, reaching 96.4 billion lei ($20.6 billion/19.6 billion euro), the country’s statistical office said on Friday.
Net investment in machinery and equipment, including vehicles, increased by 4.9% year-on-year in the first nine months of 2022, while net investments in new construction jumped by 5.5%.
Combined investments in all other sectors fell by an annual 8.2% in January-September, the statistical office said.
In the third quarter of 2022, net investment in Romania’s economy recorded a 13.3% jump compared to the same quarter of the previous year.
