Cashflow

Bitcoin / U.S. dollarBitstamp

Huraian

Cashflow analysis is a current measure of cash flowing into and out of a commodity. This indicator will color sell signals as red and buy as green. Market noise is yellow. Change the moving average of the Cashflow indicator to color your desired buy and sell triggers.

Nota Keluaran

Updated this version to better display current cashflow status. Cashflow simply is change in close price times volume. I believe this tells me current interest in that changing price, supply and demand. Since most of trading today is automated, this indicator displays on/off notifications of the computers current trend. The way I see the indicator is each red large candle is a sword stabbing a large cash filled balloon. Each stab of the bears sword leaves pools of blood from the lambs. More blood means sinking balloon. The candles are colored based on comparisons to current cashflow and average cashflow. User has control over desired moving average length. I recommend logical moving averages. 12 weeks or 1 quarter makes sense. 6-8 hours for an hourly would also make sense. I have spent dozens of hours perfecting the moving averages. What I have found each chart is different. I recommend adjusting the cashflow moving average until the buys and sells make sense. This baby is not perfect, keep your stops tight and AVOID consolidation days.

I am making this public because I want everyone to make more money. Give it a like if this indicator is profitable. Suggestions welcome.

Nota Keluaran

Added more color to give a more thorough story of the market.

Green = buy
Yellow = close long
Red = short
Orange = close short
Grey = noise

I recommend matching a moving average to the price action and then using that same moving average value in the Cashflow settings. If you find a better way to visualize, please make suggestions!

great indicator. thanks for sharing. i just hope there can be an option to enable/disable bar coloring.
Johnny_Nickles
@francxisz, thanks for the feedback francxisz. Sure, I'll look into disabling bar coloring good idea.
francxisz
@dul3l3s, thank you. will be much appreciated.
Johnny_Nickles
@francxisz, to turn off the bar coloring you can go to Cashflow Settings -> Style -> Uncheck Long positions and Short positions. This should return the bar colors to your normal OHLC. However, I do recommend setting the chart OHLC candle color settings to all yellow and keep the long and short positions checked on in the Cashflow indicator. Let me know if this helps!
francxisz
@dul3l3s, thanks. yeah i used the bar coloring to confirm the trend. but sometimes i prefer not to have the bar coloring first to check the price action.
Johnny_Nickles
@francxisz, makes sense. do you prefer the normal OHLC?
francxisz
@dul3l3s, for now yes. since i'm focusing to learn more about price action. i'm just a newbie on trading and relied first on indicators. i copied and made a lot of indicators for my personal use thinking it would be the best but just recently i learned how to properly use divergences and analyzing the price action. i lessened my indicators now and just choose the ones that are effective for my strategy. and i find your indicator so useful for checking divergences. how i wish i have the source code so that i can edit the length for my own taste. :D
Johnny_Nickles
@francxisz, yes price action is very important. This indicator is like a live trend meter on the market that tracks large moves. What I have noticed is the larger the move the longer the after effect. I am not ready to share source just yet :D
