BNT Info

Bancor is a decentralized finance (DeFi) protocol that focuses on liquidity provision and automated token trading, enabling seamless cross-chain conversions without relying on traditional centralized exchanges. It leverages blockchain technology to facilitate direct and secure token trading.

Bancor’s core protocol, Carbon, introduces a decentralized trading system with on-chain limit and range orders, allowing users to implement automated trading strategies like “buy low, sell high”. Once executed, these orders cannot be reversed, providing security against market manipulation, such as MEV sandwich attacks. Additionally, users can adjust their orders directly on the blockchain.

The native token, BNT, is used for staking and governance through BancorDAO, where the community makes decisions regarding the development and operations of the Bancor ecosystem. BNT also supports liquidity provision and governance within the protocol.
