Exide Industries Invests ₹100 Crore in Exide Energy Solutions

Exide Industries Limited has invested ₹100 crore in its wholly-owned subsidiary, Exide Energy Solutions Limited, through equity share subscription on August 20, 2025.

With this investment, the total investment made by the company in Exide Energy Solutions Limited stands at ₹3,802.23 crore. The investment will support Exide Energy Solutions in setting up a greenfield plant in Bengaluru for manufacturing and selling lithium-ion battery cells, modules, and packs.

The equity shares were allotted on August 20, 2025. The investment is aimed at funding the greenfield project and meeting various funding requirements.

Exide Energy Solutions Limited (EESL) is engaged in manufacturing and selling lithium-ion battery cells, modules, and packs for India's electric vehicle market and stationary applications.
