Hungary's MOL flags possible fuel shortage in CEE without Druzhba pipeline

Hungary's MOL said on Monday that without the Druzhba pipeline Central Europe might face a fuel shortage in the short term, which might lead to an increase in fuel prices.

Hungary and Slovakia said on Friday that oil supplies via the Druzhba pipeline could be suspended for at least five days following the latest Ukrainian attack on a facility in Russia.

In an emailed reply to Reuters questions, MOL said there was no long-term supply sustainability, and no affordable fuel prices could be ensured in Central Europe without diverse supply corridors including the Druzhba and Adriatic pipelines.
