US Futures Point to Gains at the Open
US stock futures edged higher on Wednesday, with S&P 500 contracts up 0.2%, the Dow Jones rising around 140 points, and Nasdaq 100 futures hovering near the flatline, following a subdued session on Tuesday.
Traders remain focused on corporate earnings and trade developments, particularly after President Trump announced increased tariffs targeting countries that purchase energy from Russia.
He also signaled that new levies on semiconductor and pharmaceutical imports will be unveiled “within the next week or so".
Arista Networks surged 13% in premarket trading after beating expectations, while McDonald’s climbed 3% following strong earnings and revenue results.
On the downside, Advanced Micro Devices dropped over 6% after failing to provide a clear timeline for resuming sales in China.
Walt Disney fell 1.3% after missing revenue estimates, and Uber slid 3% despite better-than-expected results.
Super Micro Computer plunged more than 17% after cutting its annual sales forecast.
