Costco's Net Sales Rise in 2024

Costco Wholesale Corporation has reported a rise in net sales for January 2024. The sales increased by 4.5 percent, totaling $22.08 billion, a rise from $21.13 billion in the same period the previous year. This growth happened despite January having one less shopping day this year, which affected total and comparable sales by approximately three to three and one-half percent.

The company also reported a growth in net sales for the 22 weeks ending on February 4, 2024. The sales for this period were $104.94 billion, a 6.0 percent increase from $99.00 billion for the corresponding 22 weeks of the fiscal year 2023.

Costco's comparable sales also experienced an increase. They rose by 2.7% in the five weeks ending on February 4, 2024, and by 4.7% in the 22 weeks of the same period. The company's e-commerce sales also showed significant growth.
