NIFTY / BANKNIFTY ETF SIP NOTIFIERNIFTY / BANKNIFTY - ETF SIP NOTIFIER
STUDY concept -
- As a market investor, one cannot time the market.
- Specailly, working professionals and job holders don't have time for market tracking.
- The idea of the script is - When Nifty closes below 2% previous day high, market has corrected and it's available at a discount w.r.t. previous day
- One can then invest in NIFTY / BANKNIFTY via ETF option on same or next day.
- If you like this idea, Save this script and add alert condition of this script in NIFTY / BANKNIFTY chart.
- One can get notification on TradingView mobile app or via email when the criteria is met.
- Logic can be applied to investing in INDEXES , NIFTY, BANKNIFTY.
Logic may be improved later.
NOTE - Investing is a serious and risky business. Profit / Loss from this investing idea is sole responsibility of the investor. This script is for education and learning purpose.
Bayesian BBSMA OscillatorSometime ago (very long ago), one of my tinkering project was to do a spam or ham classification type app to filter news I'd wanna read. So I built myself a Naive Bayes Classifier to feed me my relevant articles. It worked great, I can cut through the noise.
The hassle was I needed to manually train it to understand what I wanna read. I trained it using 50 articles and to my surprise, it's enough.
Complexity Theory
I've been reading a book called The Road to Ruin by Jim Rickards. He described how he got to his conclusion of how the stock market works by using Complexity Theory. Bill Williams would agree. Jim tells us that by using just enough data, we calculate the probability of an event to occur. We can't say for sure when but we know it's coming. This was my light bulb moment.
While Jim talks much about Bayesian Inference in which a probability of an event can always be updated as more evidence comes to light, I had my eyes set on binary probabilities of when prices are going up and down.
Assumptions
These are my assumptions:
Prices breaking up a Bollinger basis line will have fuel to go up even higher
Prices will go down when prices have broken up a Bollinger upper band
Scalping is the main method so we should use a lower period Moving Average (MA)
When prices are above MA, it's likelier a correction to the downside is imminent
When prices are below MA, it's likelier a correction to the upside is imminent
Optimize parameters for 1 hour timeframe which will give us time to react while still having more opportunities to trade
Building Blocks
Jim Rickards started with limited data (events) while in technical trading, data are plentiful. I decided to classify 2 events which are:
Next candles would be breaking up
Next candles would be breaking down
Key facts:
We won't know for sure when prices are going to break
We won't know for sure how much the prices movements are going to be
Formulas
Breaking up:
Pr(Up|Indicator) = Pr(Indicator|Up) * Pr(Up) / Pr(Indicator|Up) * Pr(Up) + Pr(Indicator|Down) * Pr(Down)
Breaking down:
Pr(Down|Indicator) = Pr(Indicator|Down) * Pr(Down) / Pr(Indicator|Down) * Pr(Down) + Pr(Indicator|Up) * Pr(Up)
Reading The Oscillator
Green is the probability of prices breaking up
Red is the probability of prices breaking down
When either green or red is flatlining ceiling, immediately on the next candle when the probability decreases go short or long based on which direction you're observing - Strong Signal
When either green or red is flatlining ceiling, take no action while it's ceiled
Usually when either green or red is flatlining bottom, the next candle when the probability increases, immediately take a short long position based on the direction you're observing - Weak Signal
When either green or red is flatlining bottom, take no action while it's bottomed
Alerts
Use Once per Bar option when generating alerts.
LotSizeCalc_v1 (EUR)Hey there,
here I like to publish my first TradingView Script for the Indicator "LotSizeCalc" which calculates the LotSize for the currency '€' for e.g. the MT4-App depending on the following parameters:
- Stop Loss in pips (example: 30 pips)
- Account Balance in EUR (example: 500€)
- Risk in % (example: 1%)
It is very similar to the MyFxBook Calculator on their website, where you can compare the results for the lotsize.
You receive the calculated value next to the indicator, and - for mobile device - it also shows a label with the calculated lotsize (which you can deacivate via settings if you like).
The indicator works for the included common foreign Forex pairs (AUD, CAD, CHF, JPY, JPY, GBP, NZD, USD) in order to calculate the risk to a EUR-Trading Account.
Actually, the Script allows in general some adaptations due to your trading system. This one is the most basic version.
Happy pips and I wish you safe and risk-calculated trading!
Marcel :)
.BXBT IndexThe current .BXBT index weighted as close as possible to BitMEX's with updates as BitMEX refreshes their index.
Difference between this and the script titled '2020 March 27 .BXBT Index': this one will receive updates because it doesn't have a date in its title.
Methodology
www.bitmex.com
"BitMEX Index Weights, assuming no constituent exchanges have been excluded due to Index Protection Rules, last updated 27 December 2019 at 12:00:05 UTC."
Binance: -
Bitstamp: 10.61%
Bittrex: 2.53%
Coinbase: 52.30%
Gemini: 6.89%
Huobi: -
Itbit: 4.21%
Kraken: 23.46%
Poloniex: -
ItBit's weight is combined with Gemini's due to ItBit not being on TradingView as of now. BITTREX:BTCUSD substituted with BITTREX:BTCUSDT*POLONIEX:USDTUSD to backfill because Bittrex only recently (late 2018) started to offer a fiat BTC/USD pair. Not that it matters since the index used in 2018 didn't include Bittrex if I remember correctly.
What is actually used for 27/12/2019 to 27/03/2020:
Binance: -
Bitstamp: 10.61%
Bittrex: 2.53%
Coinbase: 52.30%
Gemini: 11.10%
Huobi: -
Itbit: -
Kraken: 23.46%
Poloniex: -
Options:
Toggle candlesticks or close line
Change price source to be used for indicators
To be added: Change quarter to show indexes for different times, with labels that apply to the appropriate index used
Reasons to use this vs. the index itself: (not many)
It is helpful as a reference for other indicators or creation of an index.
2020 March 27 .BXBT IndexAs described here:

With itBit's weight given to \Gemini because it currently is not on TradingView and they're both small NY based exchanges.
BITSTAMP: 24.86%
BITTREX: 2.53%
COINBASE: 44.98%
GEMINI: 7.41%
KRAKEN: 20.22%
BITSTAMP:BTCUSD^0.2486*BITTREX:BTCUSD^0.0253*COINBASE:BTCUSD^0.4498*GEMINI:BTCUSD^0.0741*KRAKEN:XBTUSD^0.2022
Intended for use with volume based indicators because BitMEX's indices do not include volume data.
BitMEX ETHUSD contract value (USD)The ETHUSD Quanto Swap contract on BitMEX allows you to trade ETHUSD with Bitcoin put forward as collateral. However this means that 1 contract is not equal to 1 USD or 1 ETH, but instead varies according to the price of ETHUSD.
You can see the contract specs here www.bitmex.com and find more information here blog.bitmex.com
My advice is always to make sure you fully understand a derivative product before you trade it, however many of us may not have the acumen to actually understand how a quanto swap works. Nevertheless, we have to be aware that the value in USD of each contract depends on the price of Ethereum and also the price of Bitcoin at each point in time.
This tool will show you the value of a single ETHUSD contract in USD, but it solely for indicative purposes only. Your trade, your risk. I do not ask for any donations from your gains and I am not liable for any of your losses.
Source code is provided.
Note in the example image that the price of ETHUSD is plotted on a logarithmic scale but the indicative contract value is linear.

MA&EMA - Libertus - Binance setupHello all,
This will help you with your Binance altcoin trading. It mimics default MA's and EMA from Binance mobile app and desktop app.
Lots of coins listed there have strange relationship with those lines and this can help you trade easier.
Good luck.
MA: 7, 25, 99 (best used on 1H time frame)
EMA: 20 (also middle line for B. bands on Binance)
Paratica Binance ViewMost of cryptocurreny traders have a Binance account. And when you log into Binance App you see 3 moving averages default. They are 7, 25 and 99. You can see price chart with all Binance Users view. So it is very powerfull to analyse parity.
[AutoView] Trailing Stop Back Testing and alerts + TP and TSThe number one request since the creation of autoview was to have alerts triggered for Take Profit, Stop Loss and Trailing Stops. Finally, we've figured it out, and as an additional bonus, this allows us to back test trailing stops in the strategy tester.
YouTube Video about this script and setup: bit.ly
This script contains 2 things people have been asking for, multiple time frames and of course, a trailing stop that can be both back tested and setup for alerts.
This strategy itself seems to perform better without the use of the Trailing Stop, so play around and monitor it before actually trying to trade it live.

DecisionPoint Volume Swenlin Trading Oscillator [LazyBear]This is the volume version of "DecisionPoint Breadth Swenlin Trading Oscillator"
DecisionPoint Swenlin Trading Oscillator can be used to identify short-term tops and bottoms. You can read about the interpretation of the signals (& gotchas) in the link below.
I have added support for NYSE / NASD / AMEX and also a combined mode. You can specify custom advancing/declining volume symbols too.

DecisionPoint Price Momentum Oscillator [LazyBear]The DecisionPoint Price Momentum Oscillator (PMO) is an oscillator based on a Rate of Change calculation that is smoothed twice with custom exponential moving averages. Because the PMO is normalized, it can also be used as a relative strength tool.
PMO can be used in many ways:
- PMO can be used to determine the OB/OS state. While the +2.5 to -2.5 is the usual range for broad stock market indexes, each price index will have its own “signature” range. You may have to tune this for your instrument.
- PMO triggers buy/sell on signal crossovers and ZERO crossovers.
- Common patterns like BullKiss, BearKiss are useful to track. See the link below for more info.
- Divergences.
- Histo-only mode that can be used similar to MACD-Histo.
I have exposed all params as configurable. Have fun tuning :) Don't forget to share what you found for your instrument.

Apirine Slow RSI [LazyBear]The slow relative strength index (SRSI) indicator created by Vitali Apirine is a momentum price oscillator similar to RSI in its application and interpretation. Oscillating between 0 and 100, it generates both OB/OS signals and midline (50) cross over signals and divergences.
As author suggests, bullish/bearish divergences generated by SRSI are not as effective during strong trends. To avoid fading an established trend, the system is used in conjunction with a trend confirmation tool like ADX indicator.
You can configure the OB/OS levels, default are 70/30.

Ehlers Smoothed Adaptive Momentum [LazyBear]Bored of Ehlers yet? :) I still have plenty of Ehlers in my collection, was thinking of publishing one of his Fishers or Adaptive RVI next, but @ChartArt requested Smoothed Adaptive Momentum (SAM), so here we go...
This is my 200th script (not including the variations and other custom scripts I shared over PM). My complete list of indicators here - bit.ly
Now, about the indicator :)
This smoothed adaptive momentum is straightforward to use (per Ehlers original rules). If it crosses above zero buy the next open, if it crosses below zero sell the next open. Of course, I strongly suggest filtering the signals.
Finally, here's an Ehlers-only chart to help determine where BTC is heading :P

Ehlers Adaptive CG Indicator [LazyBear]Lets go with another adaptive indicator today. BTW, this is my 199th script (1 more and I am planning to work on my other backlogs).
This is the adaptive version of Ehlers' Center Of Gravity (CG) (already published, check "More info" below). Idea behind making something "adaptive" is to calculate it using dynamic cycle period inputs instead of static setting. In adaptive CG, Ehlers uses the dominant cycle period as the length in computation of alpha.
According to Ehlers this should be more responsive than the non-adaptive version. Buy and sell signals should often occur one bar earlier than for the non-adaptive version.
I have the usual options in place. Check out plain CC for comparison.

Ehlers Adaptive Cyber Cycle Indicator [LazyBear]Another famous Ehlers indicator.
This is the adaptive version of Ehlers' Cyber Cycle (CC) (already published, check "More info" below). Idea behind making something "adaptive" is to calculate it using dynamic cycle period inputs instead of static setting. In adaptive cyber cycle, Ehlers uses the dominant cycle period as the length in computation of alpha.
According to Ehlers this should be more responsive than the non-adaptive version. Buy and sell signals should often occur one bar earlier than for the non-adaptive version.

Ehlers Stochastic CG Oscillator [LazyBear]Another one from Ehlers.
Ehlers likes the idea behind StochRSI so much, he dedicated a full chapter in his book (linked below) on how stoch works with his "superlative" (his words, not mine) indicators. This is stoch of his CG oscillator.
Standard stochastic oscillator uses fixed period for calculations and does not adjust to the constantly changing market cycle length. Stochastic CG Oscillator does not have such a drawback.
Use this like normal stochRSI osc (Uncheck "Fill Osc/Trigger" option, sample chart below)

Ehlers MESA Adaptive Moving Average [LazyBear]Another one to add to Ehlers collection.
The MESA Adaptive Moving Average (MAMA) adapts to price movement based on the rate of change of phase as measured by the Hilbert Transform Discriminator. This method features a fast attack average and a slow decay average so that composite average rapidly ratchets behind price changes and holds the average value until the next ratchet occurs. Consider FAMA (Following AMA) as the signal.
Here are some of the options:
Fill MAMA/FAMA region (ribbon mode):
Mark Crossovers:
The above options (along with the bar colors) allow this to be used as a standalone system.
BTW, John Ehlers calls MAMA, "Mother of all Adaptive Moving Averages", lemme know what you think :)
