SMA's AverageReturn the average of simple moving averages with periods starting from min to max that is:
avg(sma(src,min),sma(src,min+1),...,sma(src,max))
The user can choose three types of weightings for the average, "simple", "linear", and "least squares".
Settings
Min : minimum period of the sma
Max : maximum period of the man, must be higher than "Min"
Src : input data of the indicator
Type : type of weighting, available options are "Simple", "Linear" or "Least Squares", by default "Simple"
Usage
The moving average can be used like any other classical moving average. The different types of weightings change the behavior of the moving average, the simple weighting will weight all the moving averages equally, a linear weighting will use the weighting function of a WMA, as such moving averages with lower periods will receive higher weights, this decrease the lag of the moving average. Finally, the least-squares weighting uses the weighting function of a least-squares moving average, this allows to drastically reduce the lag of the moving average.
in red the moving average using simple weighting, in blue linear weighting, and in orange least squares weighting, with all using min = 14 and max = 28.
In red the moving average with min = 50 and max = 200, in blue a LSMA of period 200, notice how the moving average has less overshoots.
Details
Computing the average of various simple moving averages is simple, remember that a simple moving average can be computed using a cumulative sum:
Sma = change(cum(src),length)/length
we can't compute various "sma" functions with changing length argument within a for loop, but we can still differentiate within it, as such the cumulative sum method is super efficient and convenient.
The impulse response of this moving average is rectangular for the first "min" values, then the impulse is tailed, with the weighting method defining the shape of the tail.
in red the simple weighting method, in blue the linear method, and in orange the least-squares method.
Our moving average is an FIR moving average, as such the output lag is a linear characteristic of the moving average, which imply that:
Lag = Avg(lag(Sma(min)),lag(Sma(min+1))...,lag(max))
where lag is the lag of the moving average, in the case of a simple weighting we have:
Lag = Avg((min-1)/2,(min+1-1)/2,...,(max-1)/2) = Avg((min-1)/2,(max-1)/2)
a linear weighting gives a lag of:
Lag = Avg((min-1)/3,(min+1-1)/3,...,(max-1)/3) = Avg((min-1)/3,(max-1)/3)
Summary
A script computing the average of various moving averages has been presented, this MA might not be super useful to the everyday analyst but it stills have some great potential. Thx for reading.

EMA Crossover StrategyEMA Crossover Strategy
This strategy will enter a long trade when the 21 EMA crosses over the 55 EMA and both EMAs and the close price are above the 200 EMA (long-term trend).
It will enter a short trade when the 21 EMA crosses under the 55 EMA and both EMAs and the close price are below the 200 EMA.
It will exit a long trade when the RSI crosses under from overbought and indicates that the uptrend could be coming to an end.
It will exit a short trade when the RSI crosses over from oversold and indicates that the downtrend could be coming to an end.

Trend QualityThe quality of the current trend is calculated by adding or subtracting
one point to the total value depending on the following criteras:
1. EMA-8, MA-20, MA-50, MA-100, MA-200 , each get a point if they are increasing.
2. EMA-8 > MA-20 > MA-20 > MA-50 > MA-100 > MA-200 , each condition that is true gets one point.
On top of the Trend Quality value we apply a "weekly" (5 periods) and
a "monthly" (22 periods) moving average.
When above a value of 5, a strong trend is indicated and hence
a trend following strategy should be used.
Use this to Buy when bouncing back from e.g MA-20 or a confirming
consolidation/candlestick/trendline pattern.
When the trend decreases below Zero a trend shift may have occured.

Dazzling BoltsThis is three moving average based strategy focused on trend-following. Targets and stops are set based on ATR. Following image pictures the strategy with all mas plotted:
Buying conditions are:
►A smoothened moving average (red) is above the exponential moving average (yellow)
►An exponential moving average is above simple moving average (black)
►Low five candles ago was still above the exponential moving average
►Low two candles ago reached below the exponential moving average
►Close of the previous candle was above the exponential moving average
►Ema force is disabled or exponential moving average set candles ago (orange) is still above simple moving average now.
If these conditions are met, Dazzling Bolts will always give you a signal. However, it holds only one position at a time and it will not buy again until it is closed or exited.
There are two ways exiting may happen. Smoothened moving average crosses below simple moving average or it reaches value based on your settings of average true range and its multiplier.
Settings 10/76/200/true/50/true/true/5/5 shows perfect results on EURUSD 15m chart but it does not guarantee the results. It is only 62 trades which is barely a useful statistical source. It is also highly optimized which means its settings filters out bad trades that may be bad only because of randomnation rather than set market behaviour. You need to test it on 200 trades + before using.

Changing the Bollinger Band's midline from SMA to EMA is not so good in terms of the standard deviation calculation formula, and it was hard to say that EMABB is an index that can be used by the author in different calculation formulas.
This time, when I came up with the deviation, I came up with a method of weighting the latest deviation like EMA instead of the average and neglecting past deviations, so I made it.
The variation in the calculation result seems to be difficult to handle, so the finished product is the one with smoothed EMA deviation.
Double Daily MAAdds a fast (default 50) and slow (default 200) daily moving average to your chart (no matter the timeframe of your chart). This is useful if you want to do a multiple timeframe analysis on a single chart. For instance, institutional investors according to conventional wisdom behave different when the price is above or below the daily 200 SMA. If you are an intraday trader, this might be good information to have.
BTC Mayer Multiple BandsIntroduced by Trace Mayer as a way to gauge the current price of Bitcoin against its long range historical price movements (200 day moving average), the Mayer Multiple highlights when Bitcoin is overbought or oversold in the context of longer time frames.
It's worth noting that as the market becomes larger and less volatile, the peaks are becoming less exaggerated. This is because a 200 day moving average baseline is a static yardstick against an ever growing, more stable, Bitcoin market. We should recalibrate what constitutes the overbought/oversold extremes on this chart accordingly.

[fikira] MTF MA/EMA'sHere is my take on MA/EMA's and MTF, based on the most excellent work of
"PineCoders" (MTF Selection Framework functions)!
The big advantage is that on 1 image you can easily see where
price is compared to different MA/EMA's (each of different Time Frames).
This gives a lot of Support and Resistance area's!
Includes:
- MA/EMA 20
- MA/EMA 50
- MA/EMA 100
- MA/EMA 200
The present Time Frame MA/EMA has a coloured circle at the side.
Each can be altered in length (the length is visible at the side and changed with the settings)
Each has an extra 4 different Time Frames (multiple settings possible)
Crossover and crossunder MA/EMA 50 with 100 (Silver Cross) and 200 (Golden Cross) is included.
The present Time Frame Cross has a "o" above the Cross
Time Frame 1 Cross has a "1" above the Cross
Time Frame 1 Cross has a "2" above the Cross
Time Frame 1 Cross has a "3" above the Cross
Time Frame 1 Cross has a "4" above the Cross
Trade System Crypto InvestidorTrade System created to facilitate the visualization of crossing and extensions of the movements with Bollinger bands.
Composed by:
Moving Averages of 21, 50, 100 and 200.
Exponential Moving Averages: 17,34,72,144, 200 and 610.
Bollinger bands with standard deviation 2 and 3.
How it works?
The indicators work together, however there are some important cross-averages that need to be identified.
- Crossing the MA21 with 50, 100 and 200 up or down will dictate an up or down trend.
- MA200 and EMA200 are excellent indicators of resistance and support zone, if the price is above these averages it will be a great support, if the price is below these averages it will indicate strong resistance.
- Another important crossover refers to exponential moving averages of 17 to 72 indicates a possible start of a trend
- The crossing of the exponential moving average of 34 with 144 will confirm the crossing mentioned above.
- In addition, the exponential moving average of 610 used by Bo Williams is an excellent reference for dictating an upward or downward trend, if the price is above it it will possibly confirm an upward trend and the downside.
- To conclude we have bollinger bands with standard deviation 2 and 3, they help to identify the maximum movements.
Point and Figure (PnF) Weis Wave VolumeThis is live and non-repainting Point and Figure Chart Weis Wave Volume tool. The script has it’s own P&F engine and not using integrated function of Trading View.
Point and Figure method is over 150 years old. It consist of columns that represent filtered price movements. Time is not a factor on P&F chart but as you can see with this script P&F chart created on time chart.
P&F chart provide several advantages, some of them are filtering insignificant price movements and noise, focusing on important price movements and making support/resistance levels much easier to identify.
This tool is based on the Weis Wave described by David H. Weis (a Wyckoff specialist). The Weis Waves Indicator sums up volumes in each wave. This is how we receive a bar chart of cumulative volumes of alternating waves and The cumulative volume makes the Weis wave charts unique.
If there is no volume information for the security then this tool has an option to use “True Range” instead of volume .

Box size is one of the most important part of Point and Figure Charting. Chart price movement sensitivity is determined by the Point and Figure scale. Large box sizes see little movement across a specific price region, small box sizes see greater price movement on P&F chart. There are four different box scaling with this tool: Traditional, Percentage, Dynamic (ATR), or User-Defined
4 different methods for Box size can be used in this tool.
User Defined: The box size is set by user. A larger box size will result in more filtered price movements and fewer reversals. A smaller box size will result in less filtered price movements and more reversals.
ATR: Box size is dynamically calculated by using ATR, default period is 20.
Percentage: uses box sizes that are a fixed percentage of the stock's price. If percentage is 1 and stock’s price is $100 then box size will be $1
Traditional: uses a predefined table of price ranges to determine what the box size should be.
Price Range Box Size
Under 0.25 0.0625
0.25 to 1.00 0.125
1.00 to 5.00 0.25
5.00 to 20.00 0.50
20.00 to 100 1.0
100 to 200 2.0
200 to 500 4.0
500 to 1000 5.0
1000 to 25000 50.0
25000 and up 500.0
Default value is “ATR”, you may use one of these scaling method that suits your trading strategy.
If ATR or Percentage is chosen then there is rounding algorithm according to mintick value of the security. For example if mintick value is 0.001 and box size (ATR/Percentage) is 0.00124 then box size becomes 0.001.
And also while using dynamic box size (ATR or Percentage), box size changes only when closing price changed.
Reversal : It is the number of boxes required to change from a column of Xs to a column of Os or from a column of Os to a column of Xs. Default value is 3 (most used). For example if you choose reversal = 2 then you get the chart similar to Renko chart.
Source: Closing price or High-Low prices can be chosen as data source for P&F charting.
There is only one option for Weis Wave Volume, “Use True Range (if no Volume info)” if you select this option and volume info is not avaliable then it uses “true range”, but if volume info is available, it never use true range. Default value is set to use true range.

Moving averages on Point & Figure charts are based on the average price of each column while bar chart moving averages are based closing price. Average Price means (ClosePrice + OpenPrice) / 2.
Because of there is double smoothing, you should use shorter lengths for moving averages. Double smoothing means: using average price smooths once, using length greater than 2 smooths price second time.

Source: Closing price or High-Low prices can be chosen as data source for P&F charting.
P&F MACD Part
Fast Length: Fast Length for P&F MACD , default value is 12
Slow Length: Fast Length for P&F MACD , default value is 26
Signal Smoothing: Signal Length, default value is 9
Source: Moving averages on P&F charts are based on the average price of each column. Bar chart moving averages are based on each close price. Average price means “(ClosePrice + OpenPrice) / 2”. You can choose Close Price or Average Price as source. Default is Average Price.
There are 2 Alerts:
If PNF MACD line crossover the signal line
If PNF MACD line crossunder the signal line
While adding alert “Once Per Bar Close” option should be chosen.
Point and Figure (PnF) CCIThis is live and non-repainting Point and Figure Chart Commodity Channel Index - CCI tool.
Commodity Channel Index – CCI was developed by Donalt Lambert. CCI can be used to identify overbought or oversold, a new trend or warn of extreme conditions. CCI measures the difference between a security's price change and its average price change. High positive readings indicate that prices are well above their average, which is a show of strength. Low negative readings indicate that prices are well below their average, which is a show of weakness.
The Formula for the Commodity Channel Index ( CCI ) Is:
CCI = (Typical Price – L-period SMA of TP) / (0.015 * Mean Deviation)
Mean Deviation = (SumOf 1->L ( |TP – MA| )) / L
L = Length
TP = Typical Price

Source: Closing price or High-Low prices can be chosen as data source for P&F charting.
Upper Band : as default, Upper band is 100
Lower Band : as default, Lower band is -100
There are alerts when P&F CCI moves above Upper Band or moves below Lower Band.

P&F chart provide several advantages, some of them are filtering insignificant price movements and noise, focusing on important price movements and making support/resistance levels much easier to identify.
P&F Bollinger Bands is calculated and shown by using its own P&F engine. Because of Point and Figure Chart Moving averages are already smoothed, better to use smaller moving average periods, 5 or 10 etc. This period can be chosen by prives movements and characteristics. You can see the consolidation areas and with P&F Breakout signals it’s possible to see the direction. Narrowing bands indicate a consolidation and narrowing does not provide a direction clue. You must look for the next P&F signal to establish direction. But beware of the ‘head fake’. This occurs when prices break a band, then suddenly reverse and move the other way (Trap).
An example for Head Fake:

you can use PNF type RSI or RENKO type RSI.
What is the difference between them?
While calculating PNF type RSI, the script checks last X/O column's closing price but when using RENKO type RSI the scipt calculates RSI on every price changes according to number of boxes. and also with RENKO type RSI, calculation is made for each boxes on price changes.
Important note if you use this PNF script with reversal = 2 then you get RENKO chart. So, with this RENKO chart better to use RENKO type RSI ;)

Chart Style: There are 3 options for chart style: “Candle”, “Area” or “Don’t show”.
As Area:
As Candle:
X/O Column Style: it can show all columns from opening price or only last Xs/Os.
Color Theme: different themes exist => Green/Red, Yellow/Blue, White/Yellow, Orange/Blue, Lime/Red, Blue/Red
Show Breakouts is the option to show Breakouts
This tool detects & shows following Breakouts:
Triple Top/Bottom,
Triple Top Ascending,
Triple Bottom Descending,
Simple Buy/Sell (Double Top/Bottom),
Simple Buy With Rising Bottom,
Simple Sell With Declining Top
Catapult bullish/bearish
Show Horizontal Count Targets: Finds the congestion or consolidation pattern and if there is breakout then it calculates the Target by using Horizontal Count method (based on the width of congestion pattern). It shows how many column exist on congestion area. There is no guarantee that prices will reach the target.
Show Vertical Count Targets: When Triple Top/Bottom Breakouts occured the script calculates the target by using Vertical Count Method (based on the length of the column). There is no guarantee that prices will reach the target.
For both methods there is auto target cancellation if price goes below congestion bottom or above congestion top.
trend is calculated by EMA of closing price of the P&F
Whipsaw protection:
Last options are “Show info panel” and Labeling Offset. Script shows current box size, reversal, and recommanded minimum and maximum box size. And also it shows the price level to reverse the column (Xs <-> Os) and the price level to add at least 1 more box to column. This is the option to put these labels 10, 20, 30, 50 or 100 bars away from the last bar. Labeling content and color change according to X/O column.
