Intrabar On Balance VolumeAn experimental modification of TradingView's built-in OBV indicator that calculates its value with intrabar data.
This leads to a more accurate OBV trace because it considers the price swings that happen within the time period of each candle, instead of only considering the candle close price.
For example: on a 4H timeframe a single candle spans 4 hours. In this indicator the OBV is calculated with 1-minute intrabar data, leading to a resolution of 240 intrabars per 4H candle (that is, it considers the volume and price swings that happened at each minute of those 4 hours).

FaustFaust is a composite indicator that combines 3 volume indicators: TSV, OBV, and PVT.
TSV moving average is plotted as an oscillator. OBV and PVT are calculated internally.
Four divergences are calculated for each indicator (regular bearish, regular bullish, hidden bearish, and hidden bullish) with three look-back periods (high, mid, and small).
For TSV, the fattest plotted line is the divergence with the highest look-back period, and the thinnest line is the divergence with the shortest look-back period.
For PVT, the larger the circle, the higher the divergence look-back period.
For OBV, the larger the triangle, the higher the divergence look-back period.

As normal OBV, this indicator can be used to find divergences and to have an idea of volume flow. Using aggregated data makes it more accurate and allows to compare volume flow between different kinds of markets (Spot, Futures, Perpetuals, Futures+Perpetuals and All Volume).
As well, in order to make the data as accurate as possible, the data from each exchange aggregated is normalized to report always in terms of 1 BTC. In case this indicator is used for another symbol, the calculations can be adjusted manually to make it always report data in terms of 1 contract/coin.
Extra features:
- Based off LonesomeTheBlue, OBV can be plotted as candles and as Heiken Aishi candles (which give wick information)
- A Moving Average (SMA, EMA, WMA, RMA, VWMA) can be plotted to the OBV. This can be used as a confluent signal to enter a trade on a crossover or to know the strength of the current move.
- The OBV basis can be reset to 0 periodically, making it more oscillator-like and allowing to focus only on a certain period of time.

On Balance VolumeEnhanced the original OBV (On Balance Volume) indicator:
- Draw max lines of OBV in the last 30 candles so that we can notice the trend, as well as divergences easier.
- If you use fiat as base currency (USDT in cryptocurrency for example), we can display the OBV in fiat, so that we can compare total trading volume across a list of symbols to find healthy symbols to trade easier.

This time I took as a basis TSV - Time Segmented Volume, a rather rare one, almost never mentioned on TradingView.
TSV is a leading indicator because its movement is based on both the movement of the stock price and its volume. Ideal entry and exit points are usually found when a stock moves through a baseline. This indicator is similar to the more well-known balance volume (OBV) because it measures the amount of money flowing in or out of a particular stock.
What is their main difference between TSV and OBV?
Time Segmented Volume is used to eliminate distortions of the standard volume graph. OBV is based on cumulative total volume, while TSV compares the current time period with the previous one, without a subtotal.
What I added on my own script
Bands, similar to Bollinger. The main idea is to have an idea of the average inflow and outflow of volumes from / to shares for a particular period. We have an opportunity to estimate how much the current volumes differ from the average for 60 days (all values can be flexibly adjusted).
Excess markers by the current average volume (sensitivity can be adjusted separately).
A table that calculates the total sentiment (force) of volume on average for N periods in comparison with the current one.
Sell/buy markers
How to read a TSV graph
The main graph is a histogram. Green bars mean an inflow of volume, red bars mean an outflow. When the red volume crosses the baseline zero, it is considered a buy signal (in the classic TSV version). A similar sell signal - just the opposite. I highlight them with a colored background fill.
It is especially important to find divergences on the chart. For example, when the volume peaks getting lower but the price rises (short).
The yellow line is the average TSV for 7 periods. Just a smoother lagging line.
Blue stripes. Above - the average inflow of volumes over N periods (44 days). Below - the average outflow.
Markers are additional buy / sell signals generated when the current TSV value exceeds the average for N periods. In the script settings, you can choose how many percent deviations from the average should occur in order to count it as a strong signal (by default, an excess of 180% for selling, 100% for buying). The main idea of the marker is to catch a better price than with the standard TSV logic (take at the intersection of the zero line). The marker can serve as both an assistant and drive into a trap. If you are not very confident, then it is better to adhere to standard practice, and set the excess of markers to completely abnormal situations, so that it triggers less often.
Colored background - a classic buy or sell zone (when crossing the TSV baseline).
Table - you can configure its presence and size in the settings. On it you can estimate the sentiment of the movement of money for the last N periods. Pay particular attention to the % value in parentheses. It shows the strength of the trend in volumes over N periods.
The basic rule, as with any trend indicator: do not trade against the trend. A sell signal in a constantly rising channel is not a short signal. This is a signal for a possible fixation of a part of the position. No more.
How do I use this indicator?
For starters, I never make decisions purely based on an indicator. TSV plays the role of a clearer visualization of volumes for me. If I see that the volumes are fading away (thin market), then I try not to enter the trade. For the last two weeks, while picking charts, I completely abandoned standard volume bars in favor of TSV due to it's greater informative.

General Idea:
My premise around this strategy was to make a general strategy for crypto that would help out with finding entry positions for when you’re bullish on a crypto and want to hold on for a while, and at the same time avoiding massive drops. Essentially a way to mix long term/ swing trading; I somewhat achieved my goal however it still requires a lot of logic tuning of the trend averages.
I’m a huge proponent of volume indicators and coupled with average closing price, I think this gives a really good idea of what is happening with the market. It gives an idea on the market and retail investor sentiment. This generally gives you logical entry positions (Although I don’t know how amazing that will work with all cryptos, there’s a fine line between a good strategy and one that just rides bubble market conditions, some would argue that’s still a success and others not)
How it works:
There are many components to the strategy that try to do different things:
First of all there are two types of entries, a MFI hidden divergence with a STOCH check, essentially it will only fire when a divergence is detected while STOCH is above 50%, however this might be changed in the future as due to the volatile nature of cryptos, the STOCH is not too effective. The second entry is a simple MFI/STOCH trend, if STOCH is above 50% and the trend is detected to be in a trending long, once a MFI crossover over the 50% line is detected an entry is placed, this is designed to get out profit where the divergence would otherwise be less accurate during strongly trending conditions.
-MFI is a great indicator, as a volume weighted momentum indicator I find it the most accurate of all, the STOCH however is a great indicator to get a general picture of simple market conditions and can filter out the emotional noise of retail investors.
-VWMA and an SMA (The bottom oscillator) gives an idea of the trend tacking into account of the volume, this serves as a more short term filter of the trend for filters.
-OBV checks are done between the OBV and an EMA of the OBV, to get the idea of a volume weighted long trend, which is important for crypto as there are massive rallies to go up due to retail greed, it’s great to jump onto it at the beginning, and get off before the stack of cards fall apart.
-ATR is used to detect when the market is relatively just ranging or moving sideways, which is where the hidden divergence entries are done, during predictable and profitable market conditions.
- Stop loss is based on the closest support of the entry, this is a nice medium of room to breath but also an actual stop loss.
Future plans and improvements:
Currently there’s a lot I want to improve, mostly the divergence detection and the overall sharpe ratio could be much better, but the current value of 0.5 gives me hope that the strategy is onto something. I also want to change TP from a percentage stop to something more dynamic but that might be too optimistic. The current plan is to paper trade test this either by manual or by a python bot, to see how it performs with some user input as well.

i set it here in this example of btc 4 hour chart to be 0.5 which is 1/2 of the volatility % range since it fitted better this particular asset . for stock i prefer 1 as my factor

Stoch X, an Indicator of Indicators by DGTStochastic refers to a randomly determined process and financial markets use stochastic models to represent the seemingly random behaviour of assets and then used by quantitative analysts to value options on asset prices
The stochastic oscillator, developed by George Lane, presents the location of the closing price of a stock in relation to the high and low range of the price of a stock over a period of time. Lane has said that the stochastic oscillator does not follow price or volume or anything similar. He indicates that the oscillator follows the speed or momentum of price.
Traditionally, readings over 80 are considered in the overbought range, and readings under 20 are considered oversold. Please note that, very strong trends can maintain overbought or oversold conditions for an extended period and traders should look to changes in the stochastic oscillator for clues about future trend shifts. It is advised to check the higher timeframe of your trading timeframe and see where you are in the “big picture”
Signal crosses , intersection of stochastic and its signal line is considered to be a signal that a reversal may be in the works
Divergence between the stochastic oscillator and trending price action is also seen as an important reversal signal
Lane also reveals in interviews that, as a rule, the momentum or speed of the price of a stock changes before the price changes itself . In this way, the stochastic oscillator can be used to foreshadow reversals when the indicator reveals bullish or bearish divergences. This signal is the first, and arguably the most important, trading signal Lane identified.
What is Stochastic X ?
Stochastic X , is essentially an indicator of an indicator, providing stochastic calculation to some of well known indicators, such as RSI, MFI, OBV, etc. This means that it is a measure of selected specific indicator relative to its own high/low range over a user defined period of time.

1- Displays Stoch of and indicator plus a companion indicator (companion display can be disabled from user dialog box)

Stoch OBV + VO , Where OBV is On Balance Volume, is a momentum indicator that measures positive and negative volume flow. VO stands for Volume Oscillator which aims to confirm a market turnaround or trend reversal

By default the threshold levels are indicated and are displayed differently for the regular Stoch or Stoch RSI. Overbought band (70-80), oversold band (20-30) and middle line (0) are emphasized
Warning : Centered Oscillators base line is moved from 0 to 50 to better suit with Stoch X, which is applied to PMA, VO and EWO
2- Can be plotted along with Stoch in the same window using the same scaling
To avoid misinterpreting the area between Stoch X and its Signal Line is highlighted automatically in case Stoch is selected to be plotted
3- Squeeze Indicator added as Add-on in the bottom of the Stoch X
During volatile market conditions the stochastic oscillator has been known to produce false signals. One way to help with this is to take the price trend as a filter, or basic chart pattern analysis can help to identify major, underlying trends and increase the Stoch X's accuracy.
This study implements Squeeze Indicator to help and add additional insight for filtering false signals. Blue diamond shapes indicates the squeeze release, that is volatility increased and according to momentum direction the buy/sell possibility can be considered. Orange ones displays consolidation periods, that is low volatility and the market is assumed to be in squeeze and no trade is recommended. in this phase.

Accumulation/Distribution Level (ADL) [Cyrus c|:D]This indicator shows Accumulation/Distribution level which can be used for confirming trends or reversals (via divergence). It is an alternative to Chaikin's Accumulation/Distribution Line (ADL) and On Balance Volume (OBV) indicators. It can also replicate PVT and OBV via options in the input menu.

OBV is too simple and has serious flaws as explained in PVT's wiki.
Chaikin's ADL is a broken indicator as can be seen in the chart below:
A/D Level addresses the flaws in these two indicators. It simply sums up portions of the volume that contributes to price change. These portions are visualized in dark green and red on "Accumulation/Distribution Volume (ADV)" indicator. This can also be achieved by ADV indicator if you are nerd enough.
PS: There is Williams A/D as well which is also a broken indicator.

Trade Archer - On balance Volume Moving Averages - v1This indicator improves upon the normal OBV indicator by including Moving Averages of OBV. Additionally clouds have been created between the MAs if desired as well as a selection of MAs and the choice of MA lengths for personal preference. Lastly it can also plot the lowest and highest values of OBV for x bars back so one can clearly see the movement of volume increasing or decreasing. For timing both price and volume, it is good to use the same MA lengths and type for both price and volume. This helps keep timing in sync and show a strong correlation between price and volume. Volume from Market Makers are the catalysts that drive the price up and down. Patience and timing are crucial for joining the volume created by the Market Makers.

The Price Volume Trend (PVT) indicator is a powerful technical analysis tool designed to measure buying and selling pressure in the market based on price changes relative to trading volume. Unlike other indicators that focus solely on volume or price, PVT combines both components to provide a more comprehensive picture of trend strength.
How is it Calculated?
The PVT is calculated by adding or subtracting a proportional part of the daily volume from a cumulative total.
When the closing price rises, a proportional part of the daily volume (based on the percentage price change) is added to the previous PVT value.
When the closing price falls, a proportional part of the daily volume is subtracted from the previous PVT value.
If there is no change in price, the PVT value remains unchanged.
The result of this calculation is a cumulative line that rises when buying pressure is strong and falls when selling pressure dominates.

REVELATIONS (VoVix - PoC) REVELATIONS (VoVix - POC): True Regime Detection Before the Move
Let’s not sugarcoat it: Most strategies on TradingView are recycled—RSI, MACD, OBV, CCI, Stochastics. They all lag. No matter how many overlays you stack, every one of these “standard” indicators fires after the move is underway. The retail crowd almost always gets in late. That’s never been enough for my team, for DAFE, or for anyone who’s traded enough to know the real edge vanishes by the time the masses react.
How is this different?
REVELATIONS (VoVix - POC) was engineered from raw principle, structured to detect pre-move regime change—before standard technicals even light up. We built, tested, and refined VoVix to answer one hard question:
What if you could see the spike before the trend?
Here’s what sets this system apart, line-by-line:
o True volatility-of-volatility mathematics: It’s not just "ATR of ATR" or noise smoothing. VoVix uses normalized, multi-timeframe v-vol spikes, instantly detecting orderbook stress and "outlier" market events—before the chart shows them as trends.
o Purist regime clustering: Every trade is enabled only during coordinated, multi-filter regime stress. No more signals in meaningless chop.
o Nonlinear entry logic: No trade is ever sent just for a “good enough” condition. Every entry fires only if every requirement is aligned—local extremes, super-spike threshold, regime index, higher timeframe, all must trigger in sync.
o Adaptive position size: Your contracts scale up with event strength. Tiny size during nominal moves, max leverage during true regime breaks—never guesswork, never static exposure.
o All exits governed by regime decay logic: Trades are closed not just on price targets but at the precise moment the market regime exhausts—the hardest part of systemic trading, now solved.
How this destroys the lag:
Standard indicators (RSI, MACD, OBV, CCI, and even most “momentum” overlays) simply tell you what already happened. VoVix triggers as price structure transitions—anyone running these generic scripts will trade behind the move while VoVix gets in as stress emerges. Real alpha comes from anticipation, not confirmation.
The visuals only show what matters:
Top right, you get a live, live quant dashboard—regime index, current position size, real-time performance (Sharpe, Sortino, win rate, and wins). Bottom right: a VoVix "engine bar" that adapts live with regime stress. Everything you see is a direct function of logic driving this edge—no cosmetics, no fake momentum.
Inputs/Signals—explained carefully for clarity:
o ATR Fast Length & ATR Slow Length:
These are the heart of VoVix’s regime sensing. Fast ATR reacts to sharp volatility; Slow ATR is stability baseline. Lower Fast = reacts to every twitch; higher Slow = requires more persistent, “real” regime shifts.
Tip: If you want more signals or faster markets, lower ATR Fast. To eliminate noise, raise ATR Slow.
o ATR StdDev Window: Smoothing for volatility-of-volatility normalization. Lower = more jumpy, higher = only the cleanest spikes trigger.
Tip: Shorten for “jumpy” assets, raise for indices/futures.
o Base Spike Threshold: Think of this as your “minimum event strength.” If the current move isn’t volatile enough (normalized), no signal.
Tip: Higher = only biggest moves matter. Lower for more signals but more potential noise.
o Super Spike Multiplier: The “are you sure?” test—entry only when the current spike is this multiple above local average.
Tip: Raise for ultra-selective/swing-trading; lower for more active style.
Regime & MultiTF:
o Regime Window (Bars):
How many bars to scan for regime cluster “events.” Short for turbo markets, long for big swings/trends only.
o Regime Event Count: Only trade when this many spikes occur within the Regime Window—filters for real stress, not isolated ticks.
Tip: Raise to only ever trade during true breakouts/crashes.
o Local Window for Extremes:
How many bars to check that a spike is a local max.
Tip: Raise to demand only true, “clearest” local regime events; lower for early triggers.
o HTF Confirm:
Higher timeframe regime confirmation (like 45m on an intraday chart). Ensures any event you act on is visible in the broader context.
Tip: Use higher timeframes for only major moves; lower for scalping or fast regimes.
Adaptive Sizing:
o Max Contracts (Adaptive): The largest size your system will ever scale to, even on extreme event.
Tip: Lower for small accounts/conservative risk; raise on big accounts or when you're willing to go big only on outlier events.
o Min Contracts (Adaptive): The “toe-in-the-water.” Smallest possible trade.
Tip: Set as low as your broker/exchange allows for safety, or higher if you want to always have meaningful skin in the game.
Trade Management:
o Stop %: Tightness of your stop-loss relative to entry. Lower for tighter/safer, higher for more breathing room at cost of greater drawdown.
o Take Profit %: How much you'll hold out for on a win. Lower = more scalps. Higher = only run with the best.
o Decay Exit Sensitivity Buffer: Regime index must dip this far below the trading threshold before you exit for “regime decay.”
Tip: 0 = exit as soon as stress fails, higher = exits only on stronger confirmation regime is over.
o Bars Decay Must Persist to Exit: How long must decay be present before system closes—set higher to avoid quick fades and whipsaws.
Backtest Settings
Initial capital: $10,000
Commission: Conservative, realistic roundtrip cost:
15–20 per contract (including slippage per side) I set this to $25
Slippage: 3 ticks per trade
Symbol: CME_MINI:NQ1!
Timeframe: 1 min (but works on all timeframes)
Order size: Adaptive, 1–3 contracts
No pyramiding, no hidden DCA
Why these settings?
These settings are intentionally strict and realistic, reflecting the true costs and risks of live trading. The 10,000 account size is accessible for most retail traders. 25/contract including 3 ticks of slippage are on the high side for NQ, ensuring the strategy is not curve-fit to perfect fills. If it works here, it will work in real conditions.
Tip: Set to 1 for instant regime exit; raise for extra confirmation (less whipsaw risk, exits held longer).

Bottom line: Tune the sensitivity, selectivity, and risk of REVELATIONS by these inputs. Raise thresholds and windows for only the best, most powerful signals (institutional style); lower for activity (scalpers, fast cryptos, signals in constant motion). Sizing is always adaptive—never static or martingale. Exits are always based on both price and regime health. Every input is there for your control, not to sell “complexity.” Use with discipline, and make it your own.
This strategy is not just a technical achievement: It’s a statement about trading smarter, not just more.
