Opening Range Gap + Std Dev [starclique]The ICT Opening Range Gap is a concept taught by Inner Circle Trader and is discussed in the videos: 'One Trading Setup For Life' and 2023 ICT Mentorship - Opening Range Gap Repricing Macro
ORGs, or Opening Range Gaps, are gaps that form only on the Regular Trading Hours chart.
The Regular Trading Hours gap occurs between 16:15 PM - 9:29 AM EST (UTC-4)
These times are considered overnight trading, so it is useful to filter the PA (price action) formed there.
The RTH option is only available for futures contracts and continuous futures from CME Group.
To change your chart to RTH, first things first, make sure you’re looking at a futures contract for an asset class, then on the bottom right of your chart, you’ll see ETH (by default) - Click on that, and change it to RTH.
Now your charts are filtering the price action that happened overnight.
To draw out your gap, use the Close of the 4:14 PM candle and the open of the 9:30 AM candle.
How is this concept useful?
Well, It can be used in many ways.

 How To Use The ORG
 
One of the ways you can use the opening range gap is simply as support and resistance
If we extend out the ORG from the example above, we can see that there is a clean retest of the opening range gap high after breaking structure to the upside and showing acceptance outside of the gap after consolidating within it.
The ORG High (4:14 Candle Close in this case) was used as support.
We then see an expansion to the upside.
Another way to implement the ORG is by using it as a draw on liquidity (magnet for price)
In this example, if we looked to the left, there was a huge ORG to the downside, leaving a massive gap.
The market will want to rebalance that gap during the regular trading hours.
The market rallies higher, rejects, comes down to clear the current days ORG low, then closes.
That is one example of how you can combine liquidity & ICT market structure concepts with Opening Range Gaps to create a story in the charts.
Now let’s discuss standard deviations.

 Standard Deviations
 
Standard Deviations are essentially projection levels for ranges / POIs (Point of Interests)
By this I mean, if you have a range, and you would like to see where it could potentially expand to, you’d place your fibonacci retracement tool on and high and low of the range, then use extension levels to find specific price points where price might reject from.
Since 0 and 1 are your Range High and Low respectively, your projection levels would be something like 1.5, 2, 2.5, and 3, for the extension from your 1 Fib Level, and -0.5, -1, -1.5, and -2 for your 0 Fib level.
The -1 and 2 level produce a 1:1 projection of your range low and high, meaning, if you expect price to expand as much as it did from the range low to range high, then you can project a -1 and 2 on your Fib, and it would show you what ICT calls “symmetrical price”
Now, how are standard deviations relevant here?
Well, if you’ve been paying attention to ICT’s recent videos, you would’ve caught that he’s recently started using Standard Deviation levels on breakers.
So my brain got going while watching his video on ORGs, and I decided to place the fib on the ORG high and low and see what it’d produce.
The results were very interesting.
Using this same example, if we place our fib on the ORG High and Low, and add some projection levels, we can see that we rejected right at the -2 Standard Deviation Level.

You can see that I also marked out the EQ (Equilibrium, 50%, 0.5 of Fib) of the ORG. This is because we can use this level as a take profit level if we’re using an old ORG as our draw.
In days like these, where the gap formed was within a consolidation, and it continued to consolidate within the ORG zone that we extended, we can use the EQ in the same way we’d use an EQ for a range.
If it’s showing acceptance above the EQ, we are bullish, and expect the high of the ORG to be tapped, and vice versa.

RAINBOW AVERAGES - INDICATOR - (AS) - 1/3
-INTRODUCTION:
This is the first of three scripts I intend to publish using rainbow indicators. This script serves as a groundwork for the other two. It is a RAINBOW MOVING AVERAGES indicator primarily designed for trend detection. The upcoming script will also be an indicator but with overlay=false (below the chart, not on it) and will utilize RAINBOW BANDS and RAINBOW OSCILLATOR. The third script will be a strategy combining all of them.
RAINBOW moving averages can be used in various ways, but this script is mainly intended for trend analysis. It is meant to be used with overlay=true, but if the user wishes, it can be viewed below the chart. To achieve this, you need to change the code from overlay=true to false and turn off the first switch that plots the rainbow on the chart (or simply move the indicator to a new pane below). By doing this, you will be able to see how all four conditions used to detect trends work on the chart. But let's not get ahead of ourselves.
-WHAT IS IT:
In its simplest form, this indicator uses 10 moving averages colored like a rainbow. The calculation is as follows:
MA0: This is the main moving average and can be defined with the type (SMA, EMA, RMA, WMA, SINE), length, and price source. However, the second moving average (MA1) is calculated using MA0 as its source, MA2 uses MA1 as the data source, and so on, until the last one, MA9. Hence, there are 10 moving averages. The first moving average is special as all the others derive from it. This indicator has many potential uses, such as entry/exit signals, volatility indication, and stop-loss placement, but for now, we will focus on trend detection.
-TREND DETECTION:
The indicator offers four different background color options based on the user's preference:
0-NONE: No background color is applied as no trend detection tools is being used (boring)
1-CHANGE: The background color is determined by summing the changes of all 10 moving averages (from two bars). If the sum is positive and not falling, the background color is GREEN. If the sum is negative and not rising, the background color is RED. From early testing, it works well for the beginning of a movement but not so much for a lasting trend.
2-RAINBW: The background color is green when all the moving averages are in ascending order, indicating a bullish trend. It is red when all the moving averages are in descending order, indicating a bearish trend. For example, if MA1>MA2>MA3>MA4..., the background color is green. If MA1 threshold, and red indicates width < -threshold.
4-DIRECT: The background color is determined by counting the number of moving averages that are either above or below the input source. If the specified number of moving averages is above the source, the background color is green. If the specified number of moving averages is below the source, the background color is red. If all ten MAs are below the price source, the indicator will show 10, and if all ten MAs are above, it will show -10. The specific value will be set later in the settings (same for 3-TSHOLD variant). This method works well for lasting trends.
Note: If the indicator is turned into a below-chart version, all four color options can be seen as separate indicators.
-PARAMETERS - SETTINGS:
The first line is an on/off switch to plot the skittles indicator (and some info in the tooltip). The second line has already been discussed, which is the background color and the selection of the source (only used for MA0!).
The line "MA1: TYP/LEN" is where we define the parameters of MA0 (important). We choose from the types of moving averages (SMA, EMA, RMA, WMA, SINE) and set the length.
Important Note: It says MA1, but it should be MA0!.
The next line defines whether we want to smooth MA1 (which is actually MA0) and the period for smoothing. When smoothing is turned on, MA0 will be smoothed using a 3-pole super smoother. It's worth noting that although this only applies to MA0, as the other MAs are derived from it, they will also be smoothed.
In the line below, we define the type and length of MAs for MA2 (and other MAs except MA0). The same type and length are used for MA1 to MA9. It's important to remember that these values should be smaller. For example, if we set 55, it means that MA1 is the average of 55 periods of MA0, MA2 will be 55 periods of MA1, and so on. I encourage trying different combinations of MA types as it can be easily adjusted for ur type of trading. RMA looks quirky.
Moving on to the last line, we define some inputs for the background color:
TSH: The threshold value when using 3-TSHOLD-BGC. It's a good idea to change the chart to a pane below for easier adjustment. The default values are based on EURUSD-5M.
BG_DIR: The value that must be crossed or equal to the MA score if using 4-DIRECT-BGC. There are 10 MAs, so the maximum value is also 10. For example, if you set it to 9, it means that at least 9 MAs must be below/above the price for the script to detect a trend. Higher values are recommended as most of the time, this indicator oscillates either around the maximum or minimum value.
-SUMMARY OF SETTINGS:
L1 - PLOT MAs and general info tooltip
L2 - Select the source for MA0 and type of trend detection.
L3 - Set the type and length of MA0 (important).
L4 - Turn smoothing on/off for MA0 and set the period for super smoothing.
L5 - Set the type and length for the rest of the MAs.
L6 - Set values if using 4-DIRECT or 3-TSHOLD for the trend detection.
-OTHERS:
To see trend indicators, you need to turn off the plotting of MAs (first line), and then choose the variant you want for the background color. This will plot it on the chart below.
Keep in mind that M1 int settings stands for MA0 and MA2 for all of the 9 MAs left.
Yes, it may seem more complicated than it actually is. In a nutshell, these are 10 MAs, and each one after MA0 uses the previous one as its source. Plus few conditions for range detection. rest is mainly plots and colors.
There are tooltips to help you with the parameters.

Regression Candle Conversion IndicatorHey everyone!
I got a pseudo-request a while ago for something like this, essentially the ability to track where another ticker would fall based on an alternative ticker.
I did create my ticker correlation reference indicator which directly looks at the correlation between 2 tickers. However, this is an indicator that operates on the same principle but is more pragmatic for trading.
What does it do?
Well, in keeping with the theme of what I call my indicators, this has a title that explains exactly what it does, "Regression Candle Conversion Indicator" or "RCCI" for short. It uses simple regression to convert one ticker to another. So while you are tracking one indicator, you can see where the expected value should fall on the other. 
Applications? 
The big application of this for me is being able to track where SPY/QQQ or IWM is falling during overnight trading sessions. Extended trading hours close at 8 pm NYSE time. After that, you have to guess where futures prices will put the ETF version of it. This indicator will allow you to track where, theoretically, the underlying ETF ticker will fall based on the current trading behaviour. 
Some other applications are just the ability to track how similar or dissimilar one stock is to the other. For example, if we wanted to trade, say, Boeing using shares of DFEN or ITA (a defence specific ETF), here is what we get:
  
In the chart above we can see BA as the primary chart and ITA as the RCCI converted chart. We will see 2 major things that should cause us concern.
First, there is a really poor correlation between the two tickers. This indicates that ITA may not produce the best exposure if I am directly looking for Boeing exposure.
Second, there is a wide standard error. this means that the results that the RCCI is providing may be skewed up to +/- 2 points (as indicated by the standard error chart). 
Let's take a look at BA and DFEN:
In the above, we can see that the correlation is not great, but the standard error is quite low.
This means that, while this may not be the best ticker for Boeing exposure, the RCCI is able to confidently calculate the ticker within +/- 0.50 cents based on BA's underlying data. 
However, its important to note that it is not advisable to really rely on these results if the correlation is less than + 0.5 or greater than -0.5. 
Let's take a look at a few more examples:
Above we have BA (NYSE) vs BA (NEO TSX CAD Hedged). We can see the strong relationship and high confidence calculations.

Customizations:
As you can see above, it is pretty straight forward. There are 3 options:
Lookback Length: Determines the length of assessment for correlation and the regression assessment. 
Manual Ticker Input: The indicator will pull the data from your current chart and compare it against a manually selected indicator. You must tell the indicator which ticker you are comparing against. 
Data Table: This will show you the data table which contains the standard error assessment and the correlation assessment. These are determined by your lookback length. The lookback length is defaulted to 500. 
And that's the indicator! It's pretty straight forward. Hopefully you find it helpful, especially if you track futures during overnight sessions.

Absolute ZigZag LibLibrary   "Absolute_ZigZag_Lib" 
This ZigZag Library is a Bit different. Instead of using percentages or looking more than 1 bar left or right, this Zigzag library calculates pivots by just looking at the current bar highs and lows and the ones of one bar earlier.

7 Closes above/below 5 SMAThis script looks for 7 consecutive closes above/below the 5-period SMA. The indicator is inspired by legendary trader Linda Raschke's work. 
 Usage  
The script can can be used in three main ways. I think you will find more uses. 
First are the two models for which the indicator was created, both inspired by Raschke: 
1) Persistency of trend / Extended run setup. 
Around 10-12 times per year we get a persistency of trend in instruments in general. 
After 7 consecutive closes above/below the 5-period as price pulls back we can look to enter in the direction of the main trend as it moves up/down above/below 5 ma again. You should use price action trading to pinpoint the entries. Now try to hold this as long as possible. Way longer than you can percieve or think is possible. Up to 24-28 periods is what we are looking for in these cases. 
2) Normal usage. 
When the trend is not persistent, it is possible to use this as an oscillating signal, for a shorter term trade, where we can look for a short or long term reversal setup in price action. 
3) I also use it at as a learning to see the swing trades clearer. You can also use it as a visual aid for developing new variances of the classic swing trading setup.

 TIme frames  
The principles works in all time frames but may change depending on calendar differences. We will see more instances/year in shorter time frames. 
 Why closes above the 5 SMA  
As you may or may not know the 5 SMA is a very important indicator. You can think of it like this, If price is above 5, it is innocent until proven guilty but if price is below 5 we use the french law system which means it is guilty until proven innocent. 7 closes above 5 is a very good predictor of possible short term direction changes.
 Use together with: 
I prefer to use this indicator together with either regular SMA:s, one short and one macro term. For example 10 ma and 100 ma.
Or you can use it with a a Hull 21-period MA together with a 240-period WMA.
 Settings:  
I added settings so you can change preferences for changing shape, where to display the shape and in what color 
 Visual aid  
I wanted to keep one dot for each consecutive day, this way we will get a grouping of days and dots. The amount in this group can be of use in itself to inform you of the strength of trend. This can inform you if this oscillation predicts a short term eversal or a continuation. You need skills in reading price action to use this to your advantage. 
Open Interest Profile [Fixed Range] - By LeviathanThis script generates an aggregated Open Interest profile for any user-selected range and provides several other features and tools, such as OI Delta Profile, Positive Delta Levels, OI Heatmap, Range Levels, OIWAP, POC and much more.
The indicator will help you find levels of interest based on where other market participants are opening and closing their positions. This provides a deeper insight into market activity and serves as a foundation for various different trading strategies (trapped traders, supply and demand, support and resistance, liquidity gaps, imbalances,liquidation levels, etc). Additionally, this indicator can be used in conjunction with other tools such as Volume Profile.
Open Interest (OI) is a key metric in derivatives markets that refers to the total number of unsettled or open contracts. A contract is a mutual agreement between two parties to buy or sell an underlying asset at a predetermined price. Each contract consists of a long side and a short side, with one party consenting to buy (long) and the other agreeing to sell (short). The party holding the long position will profit from an increase in the asset's price, while the one holding the short position will profit from the price decline. Every long position opened requires a corresponding short position by another market participant, and vice versa. Although there might be an imbalance in the number of accounts or traders holding long and short contracts, the net value of positions held on each side remains balanced at a 1:1 ratio. For instance, an Open Interest of 100 BTC implies that there are currently 100 BTC worth of longs and 100 BTC worth of shorts open in the market. There might be more traders on one side holding smaller positions, and fewer on the other side with larger positions, but the net value of positions on both sides is equivalent - 100 BTC in longs and 100 BTC in shorts (1:1). Consider a scenario where a trader decides to open a long position for 1 BTC at a price of $30k. For this long order to be executed, a counterparty must take the opposite side of the contract by placing a short order for 1 BTC at the same price of $30k. When both long and short orders are matched and executed, the Open Interest increases by 1 BTC, indicating the introduction of this new contract to the market.
The meaning of fluctuations in Open Interest:
- OI Increase - signifies new positions entering the market (both longs and shorts).
- OI Decrease - indicates positions exiting the market (both longs and shorts).
- OI Flat - represents no change in open positions due to low activity or a large number of contract transfers (contracts changing hands instead of being closed).
Typically, we monitor Open Interest in the form of its running value, either on a chart or through OI Delta histograms that depict the net change in OI for each price bar. This indicator enhances Open Interest analysis by illustrating the distribution of changes in OI on the price axis rather than the time axis (akin to Volume Profiles). While Volume Profile displays the volume that occurred at a given price level, the Open Interest Profile offers insight into where traders were opening and closing their positions.
How to use the indicator?
1. Add the script to your chart
2. A prompt will appear, asking you to select the “Start Time” (start of the range) and the “End Time” (end of the range) by clicking anywhere on your chart.
3. Within a few seconds, a profile will be generated. If you wish to alter the selected range, you can drag the "Start Time" and "End Time" markers accordingly.
4. Enjoy the script and feel free to explore all the settings.
To learn more about each input in indicator settings, please read the provided tooltips. These can be accessed by hovering over or clicking on the ( i ) symbol next to the input.
Supply and DemandThis is a "Supply and Demand" script designed to help traders spot potential levels of supply (resistance) and demand (support) in the market by identifying pivot points from past price action.
 Differences from Other Scripts: 
Unlike many pivot point scripts, this one offers a greater degree of customization and flexibility, allowing users to determine how many ranges of pivot points they wish to plot (up to 10), as well as the number of the most recent ranges to display.
Furthermore, it allows users to restrict the plotting of pivot points to specific timeframes (15 minutes, 30 minutes, 1 hour, 4 hours, and daily) using a toggle input. This is useful for traders who wish to focus on these popular trading timeframes.
This script also uses the color.new function for a more transparent plotting, which is not commonly used in many scripts.
 How to Use: 
The script provides two user inputs:
"Number of Ranges to Plot (1-10)": This determines how many 10-bar ranges of pivot points the script will calculate and potentially plot.
"Number of Last Ranges to Show (1-?)": This determines how many of the most recent ranges will be displayed on the chart.
"Limit to specific timeframes?": This is a toggle switch. When turned on, the script only plots pivot points if the current timeframe is one of the following: 15 minutes, 30 minutes, 1 hour, 4 hours, or daily.
The pivot points are plotted as circles on the chart, with pivot highs in red and pivot lows in green. The transparency level of these plots can be adjusted in the script.
 Market and Conditions: 
This script is versatile and can be used in any market, including Forex, commodities, indices, or cryptocurrencies. It's best used in trending markets where supply and demand levels are more likely to be respected. However, like all technical analysis tools, it's not foolproof and should be used in conjunction with other indicators and analysis techniques to confirm signals and manage risk.
A technical analyst, or technician, uses chart patterns and indicators to predict future price movements. The "Supply and Demand" script in question can be an invaluable tool for a technical analyst for the following reasons:
 Identifying Support and Resistance Levels : The pivot points plotted by this script can act as potential levels of support and resistance. When the price of an asset approaches these pivot points, it might bounce back (in case of support) or retreat (in case of resistance).  Transparency in Plots : The use of the color.new function allows for more transparent plotting. This feature can prevent the chart from becoming too cluttered when multiple ranges of pivot points are plotted, making it easier for the analyst to interpret the data.
In summary, this script can be used by a technical analyst to pinpoint potential trading opportunities, validate signals from other indicators, and customize the display of pivot points to suit their individual trading style and strategy. Always remember, however, that no single indicator should be used in isolation, and effective risk management strategies should always be employed.
Rainbow Drift BetaRainbow Drift Beta  is an indicator that detects the triggers of long and short positions at any TF.
It's based on two different type of approaches to the EMAs periods:
- Classic EMAs periods: 10 and 50
- Cycle EMAs perdios: 16, 64 and 256
The 256 period EMA (Annual Cycle) detects the trend: if the EMA 64 (Three-Weekly Cycle) is above, it shows an uptrend; while the EMA 64 is below, it means that the price action is in downtrend.
10 and 16 periods EMAs are working together as well as the 50 and the 64. The first couple reacts faster than the second one and as soon as the 10 is above the 16, the band shows the first attempt of the price action to go in the uptrend direction. The same concept is applied to the second couple (50, 64): when EMA 50 > EMA 64 it's a confirmation of the faster EMAs long direction. Viceverca happens for the downtrend but with the same concept.
As the EMA periods taken in consideration are quite often a sensitive level of reaction of the price, the indicator detects when there is trigger of a long or a short set up and plots a label on the chart. It's possibile to set up an alert as well.
Quite important, the indicator is looking for sideways patterns as the breakout of them shows a clear direction of the price.
Moreover, in order to privide the first and the best entry possibile, the indicator has a function that is triggering only one time as the trend reverted: for example, a long entry on the EMA 10-16 happens only one time since they crossover the EMA 64.
As included in the name, this is a beta version and new improvements will be added in the near future like suggested price entry, SL and TP, and the focus of the development is to avoid as much as possibile the false triggers.
Of course the best way to improve the code is to receive the users' feedbacks, so please feel free to post your comments and questions. 
Cross Period Comparison IndicatorReally excited to be sharing this indicator!
This is the cross-period comparison indicator, AKA the comparison indicator.
 What does it do?  
The cross-period comparison indicator permits for the qualitative assessment of two points in time on a particular equity. 
 What is its use?  
At first, I was looking for a way to determine the degree of similarity between two points, such as using Cosine similarity values, Euclidean distances, etc. However, these tend to trigger a lot of similarities but without really any context. Context matters in trading and thus what I wanted really was a qualitative assessment tool to see what exactly was happening at two points in time (i.e. How many buyers were there? What was short interest like? What was volume like? What was the volatility like? RSI? Etc.) 
This indicator permits that qualitative assessment, displaying things like total buying volume during each period, total selling volume, short interest via Put to Call ratio activity, technical information such as Stochastics and RSI, etc. 
 How to use it? 
The indicator is fairly self explanatory, but some things require a little more in-depth discussion. 
The indicator will display the Max and Min technical values of a period, as well as a breakdown in the volume information and put to call information. The user can then make the qualitative determination of degrees of similarity. However, I have included some key things to help ascertain similarity in a more quantitative way. These include:
1.	Adding average period Z-Score 
2.	Adding CDF probability distributions for each respective period 
3.	Adding Pearson correlations for each respective period over time 
4.	Providing the linear regression equation for each period 
So let us discuss these 4 quantitative measures a bit more in-depth.
 Adding Period Z-Score 
For those who do not know, Z-Score is a measure of the distance from a mean. It generally spans 0 (at the mean) to 3 (3 standard deviations away from the mean). Z-Score in the stock market is very powerful because it is actually our indicator of volatility. Z-Score forms the basis of IV for option traders and it generally is the go to, to see where the market is in relation to its overall mean.
Adding Z-Score lets the user make 2 big determinations. First and foremost, it’s a measure of overall volatility during the period. If you are getting a Z-Score that is crazy high (1.5 or greater), you know there was a lot of volatility in that period marked by frequent deviations from its mean (since on average it was trading 1.5 standard deviations away from its mean). 
The other thing it tells you is the overall sentiment of that time. If the average Z Score was 1.5 for example, we know that buying interest was high and the sentiment was somewhat optimistic, as the stock was trading, on average, + 1.5 SDs away from its mean. 
If, on the other hand, the average was, say, - 1.2, then we know the sentiment was overall pessimistic. There was frequent selling and the stock was frequently being pushed below its mean with heavy selling pressure. 
We can also check these assumptions of buying / selling buy verifying the volume information. The indicator will list the Buy to Sell Ratio (number of Buyers to Sellers), as well as the total selling volume and total buying volume. Thus, the user can see, objectively, whether sellers or buyers led a particular period. 
 Adding CDF Probability  
CDF probabilities simply mean the extent a stock traded above or below its normal distribution levels. 
To help you understand this, the indicator lists the average close price for a period. Directly below that, it lists the CDF probabilities. What this is telling you, is how often and how likely, during that period, the stock was trading below its average. For example, in the main chart, the average close price for BTC in Period A is 29869. The CDF probability is 0.51. This means, during Period A, 51% of the time, BTC was trading BELOW 29869. Thus, the other 49% of the time it was trading ABOVE 29869. 
CDF probabilities also help us to assess volatility, similar to Z-Score. Generally speaking, the CDF should consistently be reading about 0.50 to 0.51. This is the point of an average value, half the values should be above the average and half the values should be below. But in times of heightened volatility, you may actually see the CDF creep up to 0.54 or higher, or 0.48 or lower. This means that there was extremely extensive volatility and is very indicative of true “whipsaw” type price action history where a stock refuses to average itself out in one general area and frequently jumps up and down. 
 Adding Pearson Correlation 
 
Most know what this is, but just in case, the Pearson correlation is a measure of statistical significance. It ranges from 0 (not significant) to 1 (very significant). It can be positive or negative. A positive signifies a positive relationship (i.e. as one value increases so too does the other value being compared). If it is a negative value, it means an inverse relationship (i.e. one value increases proportionately to the other’s decline).
In this indicator, the Pearson correlation is measured against time. A strong positive relationship (a value of 0.5 or greater) indicates that the stock is trading positive to time. As time goes by, the stock goes up. This is a normal relationship and signifies a healthy uptrend.
Inversely, if the Pearson correlation is negative, it means that as time increases, the stock is going down proportionately. This signifies a strong downtrend. 
This is another way for the user to interpret sentiment during a specific period. 
IF the Pearson correlation is less than 0.5 or -0.5, this signifies an area of indecision. No real trend formed and there was no real strong relationship to time. 
 Adding Linear Regression Equation 
A linear regression equation is simply the slope and the intercept. It is expressed with the formula y= mx + b. 
The indicator does a regression analysis on each period and presents this formula accordingly. The user can see the slope and intercept. 
Generally speaking, when two periods share the same slope (m value) but different intercept (b value), it can be said that the relationship to time is identical but the starting point is different. 
If the slope and intercept are different, as you see in the BTC chart above, it represents a completely different relationship to time and trajectory.
Indicator Specific Information:
The indicator retains the customizability you would expect. You can customize all of your lengths for technical, change and Z-Score. You can toggle on or off Period data, if you want to focus on a single period. You can also toggle on a difference table that directly compares the % difference between Period A to Period B (see image below):
   
You will also see on the input menu a input for “Threshold” assessments. This simply modifies the threshold parameters for the technical readings. It is defaulted to 3, which means when two technical (for example Max Stochastics) are within +/- 3 of each other, the indicator will light these up as green to indicate similarities. They just clue the user visually to areas where there are similarities amongst the qualitative technical data. 
 Timeframes  
This is best used on the daily timeframe. You can use it on the smaller timeframe but the processing time may take a bit longer. I personally like it for the Daily, Weekly and 4 hour charts.

"There's nothing new on Wall Street" is an age-old saying that still shows its relevance in modern day financial markets; volume still serves as a valuable tool for any trader just as it did for those that came and succeeded before us; in order to succeed in modern day markets one has to take it up a notch and dabble in complicated topics, like math. Now I dunno about you reader but I’m not keen on sitting around all day just to watch numbers on a screen; it’s pretty important to add some color into your life before it becomes dull but how can someone add colors into their trading toolkit as an aid rather than bother? With a bit of help from 3 other amazing open-source indicators you too can become a statistics enjoyer by combining math and colors to make pattern recognition much more intuitive and offering more peace of mind when trading. “Sir but how?”, glad you didn’t ask, it helps with simplifying statistics, in this case a Gaussian bellcurve
 “HUH?”, you say? Alright class, Gaussian bellcurves for math dislikers 101 is in session
 
- Imagine that we have a bunch of numbers that we want to graph. We could just draw a line and plot the numbers on it, but that might not be very interesting.
- Instead, we can use the shape of a bell to show how many of each number we have.
- Let's say we have a lot of people and we want to graph how tall they are. We would start by making a line from the shortest person to the tallest person, and then we would draw the bell shape around the line.
- The bell shape is called a "Gaussian Bell Curve," and it shows us how many people are a certain height.
- In the middle of the bell, where it's the widest, we have the most people who are about average height. As we move to the sides of the bell, the curve gets lower because there are fewer people who are really tall or really short.
The bell curve discussed is the main idea for the candle coloring component of this indicator as being able to analyze the distribution of an entire dataset, in this case volume, can alert us when volume/participation in the market is away from its average using color, and therefore an opportunity could be present. Fair warning, it’s important to not strictly focus on volume as volume is meant to be confluence to the current structure of the market rather than causing tunnel vision.
 Why 3 indicators to combine?
 
It starts with the RVOL by Mik3Christ3ns3n indicator as the backbone by calculating the average volume over a specified period of time, and then compares each new volume value to this average to determine whether it is above or below the average. The indicator then normalizes the volume data and calculates the z-score/standard deviation to determine whether the volume is within normal range or is an anomaly beyond a specified threshold which can also be set into an alert to aid in eyeing possible opportunities.
The code also includes Candle Coloring by Morty as it calculates a function to get the z-score for the size of the candle's body, and then compares it to the z-score for volume to determine whether the body size is a factor in the price action.
Finally, the code plots the anomalies and the normalized volume data on the chart using the first RVOL indicator mentioned, and colors the bars of the chart based on whether they are within normal range or are anomalies which comes from using code from veryfid's relative volume indicator. 
Overall, this custom technical indicator is best used to identify unusual changes in trading volume, which may indicate potential price movements in the underlying.
 How about some examples?
 
  
This first example is for my scalpers wanting to get in and out but not having much of an idea where or let alone how; using a tool like VWAP can be great for determining the area value to execute mean reversion trades once a speculator spots a colored candle anomaly at standard deviation band. Works best when VWAP is flat as it signals lack of conviction from both bulls and bears
  
This second example is for my fire and forget intraweek swing traders who want to execute a higher timeframe trend-following bias. A speculator starting 2023 off notices that the negative sentiment around Binance from late last year has quieted down and has conviction in upside after BTC began an uptrend as monthly VWAP (right chart) has began sloping up as well as a rally with momentum shown with the blue colored candle so the trader waits wait for a pullback for entry. On the chart to the left of the 4H the speculator notices a pullback into the area of interest to do business so a limit bid is left to enter for continued upside in Bitcoin through January 2023 just by keeping things simple
That’s really the main purpose of this indicator: simplicity of statistics for confluence using volume
Volume precedes price and price moves only for narrative to follow- why wait for your subjective Twitter timeline to give you a biased narrative to trade when you can use objective analysis by combining statistics and colors to allow for a cleaner execution process
 “But what about risk management?” Glad you didn’t ask reader!
 
  
One last example then, we meet our trend following trader again feeling euphoric so they know profit taking season is coming soon but wants to leave emotion out of it. How to go about it? Same idea as our last trend following example: we see on the 4h chart to the right side shows Bitcoin lose and trade back within the 2nd standard deviation of quarterly VWAP which is telling our speculator that the uptrend has broken on top of which notices on the 30 minute chart on the left that aggressive market buyers have been steadily absorbed by limit sellers on multiple occasions of retesting 30,500 shown with the green colored candles and volume bars below, time to sell.
  
Turns out that selling was proactive risk management because price dumped thereafter
Hope this explanation gave you some useful insights on using statistics as colors from cherrypicked examples, remember that just because my examples are cherrypicked doesn’t invalidate these concepts at all as the market only does two things, initiate aggressive auctions and respond passively to auctions. This tool makes for seeing where that initiative aggressive activity is happening much simpler to deduce if others will respond to an anomaly of initiative aggressive activity or if the aggression will continue.

Stophunt WickAcknowledgement

Alexandru is one of the best scalpers out there and he always nails his entries at the tip of these wicks. 
This inspired me to create this indicator.
 What's a Liquidation Wick?  
It's that fast stop-hunting wick that stophunts everyone by triggering their stop-loss and liquidation.
Liquidity is the lifeblood of stock market and liquidation is the process that moves price.
This indicator will identify when a liquidity pool is getting raided to trigger buy or sell stops, they are also know as stop-hunts. 
 How does it work? 
When market consolidates in one direction, it builds up liquidity zones.
Market maker will break out of these consolidation phases by having dramatic price action to either pump or dump to raid these liquidity zones. 
This is also called stop-hunts or liquidity raids. After that it will start reversing back to the opposite direction.
This is most noticeable by the length of the wick of a given candle in a very short amount of time and the total size of the candle. 
This indicator highlights them accordingly.
 Settings 
Wick and Candle ratio works with default values but finetune will enhance user experience and usability.
 Wick Ratio:  Size of the wick compared to body of a candle. 
Adjust this to higher ratio on smaller timeframe or smaller ratio on bigger timeframe to your trading style to spot a trend reversal.
 Candle Ratio:  The size of the candle, by default it is 0.75% of the current price. 
For example, if BTC is at 20,000 then the size of the candle has to be minimum 150. 
This can be fine tuned to bigger candle size on higher time frames or smaller for shorter timeframe depending on the trade type.
 How to use it? 
This indicator will identify when a liquidity pool is getting raided to trigger buy or sell stops, they are also know as stop-hunts. It can be used of its own for scalping but there are also a good few indicators which would most definitely help to confluence bigger timeframe trades.
 Scalp 
This indicator shows the most chaotic moments in price action; therefore it works best on smaller timeframes, ideally 3 or 5 minute candle.
- Wait for the market to start pumping or dumping.
- Current candle will change colour (Bullish/Bearish).
- Enter trade as soon as price starts to reverse back.
- Place the stop-loss outside of the current candle.
- Wait for the Liquidation Wick to appear as confirmation.
Price is very chaotic during a liquidity stop-hunt raid but there is a saying:
 "In the midst of chaos, there is also opportunity" - Sun-Tzu 
Since this is a very high risk, high reward strategy; it is advised to practice on paper trade first.
Practice until perfection and this indicator would be the perfect bread and butter scalp confirmation.
 Fair Value Gap 
FVG strategy is the most accurate in conjunction with this indicator.
Normally price would reverse after consuming fair value gaps but often it's difficult to know when and where.
This indicator would identify those crucial entry points for reverse course direction of the price action.
 Support and Resistance 
This indicator can also be used in conjunction with support and resistance lines.
Generally the stophunt will go deep below the support or spike much further up the resistance lines to liquidate positions.
 Bollinger Bands 
Bolling Bands strategy would be to wait until the price breaks out of the band.
Once the wick is formed, it would be an ideal entry point.
 Script change 
This is an open-source script and feel free to modify according to your need and to amplify your existing strategy.

 Green and Red Candles

Support and resistance levels are important because they can help traders identify where the price of an asset might pause or reverse its direction, offering potential entry and exit points. For example, a trader might look to buy an asset when it approaches a support level , with the expectation that the price will bounce back up. Alternatively, a trader might look to sell an asset when it approaches a resistance level , with the expectation that the price will drop back down.
It's important to note that support and resistance levels are not always relevant, and the price of an asset can also break through these levels and continue moving in the same direction.
 Upper Trends 
• A return line uptrend is formed when the current peak price is higher than the preceding peak price.
• A downtrend is formed when the current peak price is lower than the preceding peak price.
• A double-top is formed when the current peak price is equal to the preceding peak price.
 Lower Trends 
• An uptrend is formed when the current trough price is higher than the preceding trough price.
• A return line downtrend is formed when the current trough price is lower than the preceding trough price.
• A double-bottom is formed when the current trough price is equal to the preceding trough price.
 Wave Cycles 
A wave cycle is here defined as a complete two-part move between a swing high and a swing low, or a swing low and a swing high. The first swing high or swing low will set the course for the sequence of wave cycles that follow; for example a chart that begins with a swing low will form its first complete wave cycle upon the formation of the first complete swing high and vice versa.

 Fibonacci Retracement and Extension Ratios 
The Fibonacci sequence is a series of numbers in which each number is the sum of the two preceding numbers, starting with 0 and 1. For example 0 + 1 = 1, 1 + 1 = 2, 1 + 2 = 3, and so on. Ultimately, we could go on forever but the first few numbers in the sequence are as follows: 0 , 1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13, 21, 34, 55, 89, 144.
The extension ratios are calculated by dividing each number in the sequence by the number preceding it. For example 0/1 = 0, 1/1 = 1, 2/1 = 2, 3/2 = 1.5, 5/3 = 1.6666..., 8/5 = 1.6, 13/8 = 1.625, 21/13 = 1.6153..., 34/21 = 1.6190..., 55/34 = 1.6176..., 89/55 = 1.6181..., 144/89 = 1.6179..., and so on. The retracement ratios are calculated by inverting this process and dividing each number in the sequence by the number proceeding it. For example 0/1 = 0, 1/1 = 1, 1/2 = 0.5, 2/3 = 0.666..., 3/5 = 0.6, 5/8 = 0.625, 8/13 = 0.6153..., 13/21 = 0.6190..., 21/34 = 0.6176..., 34/55 = 0.6181..., 55/89 = 0.6179..., 89/144 = 0.6180..., and so on.
1.618 is considered to be the 'golden ratio', found in many natural phenomena such as the growth of seashells and the branching of trees. Some now speculate the universe oscillates at a frequency of 0,618 Hz, which could help to explain such phenomena, but this theory has yet to be proven.
Traders and analysts use Fibonacci retracement and extension indicators, consisting of horizontal lines representing different Fibonacci ratios, for identifying potential levels of support and resistance. Fibonacci ranges are typically drawn from left to right, with retracement levels representing ratios inside of the current range and extension levels representing ratios extended outside of the current range. If the current wave cycle ends on a swing low, the Fibonacci range is drawn from peak to trough. If the current wave cycle ends on a swing high the Fibonacci range is drawn from trough to peak.
 Harmonic Patterns 
The concept of harmonic patterns in trading was first introduced by H.M. Gartley in his book "Profits in the Stock Market", published in 1935. Gartley observed that markets have a tendency to move in repetitive patterns, and he identified several specific patterns that he believed could be used to predict future price movements.
Since then, many other traders and analysts have built upon Gartley's work and developed their own variations of harmonic patterns. One such contributor is Larry Pesavento, who developed his own methods for measuring harmonic patterns using Fibonacci ratios. Pesavento has written several books on the subject of harmonic patterns and Fibonacci ratios in trading. Another notable contributor to harmonic patterns is Scott Carney, who developed his own approach to harmonic trading in the late 1990s and also popularised the use of Fibonacci ratios to measure harmonic patterns. Carney expanded on Gartley's work and also introduced several new harmonic patterns, such as the Shark pattern and the 5-0 pattern.
The bullish and bearish Gartley patterns are the oldest recognized harmonic patterns in trading and all the other harmonic patterns are ultimately modifications of the original Gartley patterns. Gartley patterns are fundamentally composed of 5 points, or 4 waves.
 Bullish and Bearish Cypher Patterns 
• Bullish cypher patterns are fundamentally composed of three troughs and two peaks, with the second peak being higher than the first peak and the second trough being higher than the first trough. The third trough must be lower than the second trough but higher than the first.
• Bearish cypher patterns are fundamentally composed of three peaks and two troughs, with the second trough being lower than the first trough and the second peak being lower than the first peak. The third peak must be higher than the second peak but lower than the first.
The most commonly recognised ratio measures used by traders today are as follows: 
• Wave 1 of the pattern, referred to as XA, has no specific ratio requirements.
• Wave 2 of the pattern, referred to as AB, should retrace to at least 38.2%, but no further than 61.8% of the range set by wave 1.
• Wave 3 of the pattern, referred to as BC, should extend to at least 113%, but no further than 141.4% of the range set by wave 2.
• Wave 4 of the pattern, referred to as CD, should extend to at least 127.2%, but no further than 200% of the range set by wave 3.
• The last measure, that of wave 4 as a ratio of the range set between points X and C, referred to as XC, should retrace to 78.6%.
 Measurement Tolerances 
In general, tolerance in measurements refers to the allowable variation or deviation from a specific value or dimension. It is the range within which a particular measurement is considered to be acceptable or accurate. In this script I have applied this concept to the measurement of harmonic pattern ratios to increase to the frequency of pattern occurrences.
For example, the AB measurement of Gartley patterns is generally set at around 61.8%, but with such specificity in the measuring requirements the patterns are very rare. We can increase the frequency of pattern occurrences by setting a tolerance. A tolerance of 10% to both downside and upside, which is the default setting for all tolerances, means we would have a tolerable measurement range between 51.8-71.8%, thus increasing the frequency of occurrence.

All green and red candle calculations are based on differences between open and close prices, as such I have made no attempt to account for green candles that gap lower and close below the close price of the preceding candle, or red candles that gap higher and close above the close price of the preceding candle. This may cause some unexpected behaviour on some markets and timeframes. I can only recommend using 24-hour markets, if and where possible, as there are far fewer gaps and, generally, more data to work with. 
█   NOTES 
The cypher pattern was initially discovered by Darren Oglesbee, but I was unable to find any direct sources to his work on harmonic patterns. And although there seems to be some contention over whether or not there should be a ratio requirement for the CD wave, I decided to include it nonetheless.

The extension ratios are calculated by dividing each number in the sequence by the number preceding it. For example 0/1 = 0, 1/1 = 1, 2/1 = 2, 3/2 = 1.5, 5/3 = 1.6666..., 8/5 = 1.6, 13/8 = 1.625, 21/13 = 1.6153..., 34/21 = 1.6190..., 55/34 = 1.6176..., 89/55 = 1.6181..., 144/89 = 1.6179..., and so on. Pesavento has written several books on the subject of harmonic patterns and Fibonacci ratios in trading. Another notable contributor to harmonic patterns is Scott Carney, who developed his own approach to harmonic trading in the late 1990s and also popularised the use of Fibonacci ratios to measure harmonic patterns. Carney expanded on Gartley's work and also introduced several new harmonic patterns, such as the Shark pattern and the 5-0 pattern. 
The bullish and bearish Gartley patterns are the oldest recognized harmonic patterns in trading and all the other harmonic patterns are ultimately modifications of the original Gartley patterns. Gartley patterns are fundamentally composed of 5 points, or 4 waves.

It is the range within which a particular measurement is considered to be acceptable or accurate. In this script I have applied this concept to the measurement of harmonic pattern ratios to increase to the frequency of pattern occurrences. 
For example, the AB measurement of Gartley patterns is generally set at around 61.8%, but with such specificity in the measuring requirements the patterns are very rare. We can increase the frequency of pattern occurrences by setting a tolerance. A tolerance of 10% to both downside and upside, which is the default setting for all tolerances, means we would have a tolerable measurement range between 51.8-71.8%, thus increasing the frequency of occurrence.

Net Positions (Net Longs & Net Shorts) - By LeviathanThis script is an experimental indicator that visualizes the entering and exiting of long and short positions in the market. It also includes other useful tools, such as NL/NS Profile, NL/NS Delta, NL/NS Ratio, Volume Heatmap, Divergence finder, Relative Strength Index of Net Longs and Net Shorts, EMAs and VWMAs and more.
To avoid misinterpretation, it's important to understand some basics. The “real” ratio between net long and net short positions in a given market is always 1:1. A futures contract is an agreement between two parties to buy or sell an underlying asset at an agreed-upon price. Each contract has a long side and a short side, with one party agreeing to buy (long) and the other party agreeing to sell (short) the asset at the agreed-upon price. The long position holder anticipates that the asset's price will rise, while the short position holder expects it to fall. Because every futures contract involves both a buyer and a seller, it is impossible to have more net longs than net shorts or vice versa (in terms of the net value). For every long position opened, there must be a corresponding short position taken by another market participant (and vice versa), thus maintaining the 1:1 ratio between longs and shorts. While there can be an imbalance in the number of traders/accounts holding long and short contracts, the net value of positions held on each side remains 1 to 1. 
Open Interest (OI) is a metric that tracks the number of open (unsettled) contracts in a given market. For example, Open Interest of 100 BTC means that there are currently 100 BTC worth of longs and 100 BTC worth of shorts open in the market. There may be more traders on one side holding smaller positions, and fewer traders on the other side holding larger positions, but the net value of positions on one side is equal to the net value of positions on the other side → 100 BTC in longs and 100 BTC in shorts (1:1). Consider a scenario in which a trader decides to open a long position for 1 BTC at a price of  HKEX:30 ,000. For this long order to be executed, a counterparty must take the opposite side of the contract by placing an order to short 1 BTC at the same price of  HKEX:30 ,000. When both the long and short orders are matched and executed, the open interest increases by 1 BTC, reflecting the addition of this new contract to the market.
Changes in Open Interest essentially tell us 3 things:
- OI Increase - new positions entered the market (both longs and shorts!)
- OI Decrease - positions exited the market (both longs and shorts!)
- OI Flat - no change in open positions due to low activity or simply lots of transfers of contracts
However, different concepts can be used to analyze sentiment, aggressiveness, and activity in the market by analyzing data such as Open Interest, price, volume, etc. This indicator combines Open Interest data and price action to simplify the visualization of positions entering and exiting the market. It is based on the following concept:
Increase in Open Interest + Increase in price = Longs Opening
Decrease in Open Interest + Decrease in price = Longs Closing
Increase in Open Interest + Decrease in price = Shorts Opening
Decrease in Open Interest + Increase in price = Shorts Closing
When "Longs Opening" occurs, the OI Delta value is added to the running total of Net Longs, and when "Longs Closing" occurs, the OI Delta value is subtracted from the running total of Net Longs.
When "Shorts Opening" occurs, the OI Delta value is added to the running total of Net Shorts, and when "Shorts Closing" occurs, the OI Delta value is subtracted from the running total of Net Shorts.
To summarize:
Net Longs: Cumulative value of Longs Opening and Longs Closing (LO - LC)
Net Shorts: Cumulative value of Shorts Opening and Shorts Closing (SO - SC)
Net Delta: Net Longs - Net Shorts
Net Ratio: Net Longs / Net Shorts
This is the fundamental logic of how this script functions, but it also includes several other tools and options. Here is an overview of the settings:

The current, or most recent, peak and trough occurrences are referred to as occurrence zero. Previous peak and trough occurrences are referred to as historic and ordered numerically from right to left, with the most recent historic peak and trough occurrences being occurrence one.
 Range 
The range is simply the difference between the current peak and current trough prices, generally expressed in terms of points or pips.
 Support and Resistance 
• Support refers to a price level where the demand for an asset is strong enough to prevent the price from falling further.
• Resistance refers to a price level where the supply of an asset is strong enough to prevent the price from rising further.
Support and resistance levels are important because they can help traders identify where the price of an asset might pause or reverse its direction, offering potential entry and exit points. For example, a trader might look to buy an asset when it approaches a support level , with the expectation that the price will bounce back up. Alternatively, a trader might look to sell an asset when it approaches a resistance level , with the expectation that the price will drop back down.
It's important to note that support and resistance levels are not always relevant, and the price of an asset can also break through these levels and continue moving in the same direction.
 Upper Trends 
• A return line uptrend is formed when the current peak price is higher than the preceding peak price.
• A downtrend is formed when the current peak price is lower than the preceding peak price.
• A double-top is formed when the current peak price is equal to the preceding peak price.
 Lower Trends 
• An uptrend is formed when the current trough price is higher than the preceding trough price.
• A return line downtrend is formed when the current trough price is lower than the preceding trough price.
• A double-bottom is formed when the current trough price is equal to the preceding trough price.
 Muti-Part Upper and Lower Trends 
• A multi-part return line uptrend begins with the formation of a new return line uptrend, or higher peak, and continues until a new downtrend, or lower peak, completes the trend.
• A multi-part downtrend begins with the formation of a new downtrend, or lower peak, and continues until a new return line uptrend, or higher peak, completes the trend.
• A multi-part uptrend begins with the formation of a new uptrend, or higher trough, and continues until a new return line downtrend, or lower trough, completes the trend.
• A multi-part return line downtrend begins with the formation of a new return line downtrend, or lower trough, and continues until a new uptrend, or higher trough, completes the trend.
 Wave Cycles 
A wave cycle is here defined as a complete two-part move between a swing high and a swing low, or a swing low and a swing high. The first swing high or swing low will set the course for the sequence of wave cycles that follow; for example a chart that begins with a swing low will form its first complete wave cycle upon the formation of the first complete swing high and vice versa.

 Fibonacci Retracement and Extension Ratios 
The Fibonacci sequence is a series of numbers in which each number is the sum of the two preceding numbers, starting with 0 and 1. For example 0 + 1 = 1, 1 + 1 = 2, 1 + 2 = 3, and so on. Ultimately, we could go on forever but the first few numbers in the sequence are as follows: 0 , 1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13, 21, 34, 55, 89, 144.
The extension ratios are calculated by dividing each number in the sequence by the number preceding it. For example 0/1 = 0, 1/1 = 1, 2/1 = 2, 3/2 = 1.5, 5/3 = 1.6666..., 8/5 = 1.6, 13/8 = 1.625, 21/13 = 1.6153..., 34/21 = 1.6190..., 55/34 = 1.6176..., 89/55 = 1.6181..., 144/89 = 1.6179..., and so on. The retracement ratios are calculated by inverting this process and dividing each number in the sequence by the number proceeding it. For example 0/1 = 0, 1/1 = 1, 1/2 = 0.5, 2/3 = 0.666..., 3/5 = 0.6, 5/8 = 0.625, 8/13 = 0.6153..., 13/21 = 0.6190..., 21/34 = 0.6176..., 34/55 = 0.6181..., 55/89 = 0.6179..., 89/144 = 0.6180..., and so on.
1.618 is considered to be the 'golden ratio', found in many natural phenomena such as the growth of seashells and the branching of trees. Some now speculate the universe oscillates at a frequency of 0,618 Hz, which could help to explain such phenomena, but this theory has yet to be proven.
Traders and analysts use Fibonacci retracement and extension indicators, consisting of horizontal lines representing different Fibonacci ratios, for identifying potential levels of support and resistance. Fibonacci ranges are typically drawn from left to right, with retracement levels representing ratios inside of the current range and extension levels representing ratios extended outside of the current range. If the current wave cycle ends on a swing low, the Fibonacci range is drawn from peak to trough. If the current wave cycle ends on a swing high the Fibonacci range is drawn from trough to peak.
 Harmonic Patterns 
The concept of harmonic patterns in trading was first introduced by H.M. Gartley in his book "Profits in the Stock Market", published in 1935. Gartley observed that markets have a tendency to move in repetitive patterns, and he identified several specific patterns that he believed could be used to predict future price movements. 
Since then, many other traders and analysts have built upon Gartley's work and developed their own variations of harmonic patterns. One such contributor is Larry Pesavento, who developed his own methods for measuring harmonic patterns using Fibonacci ratios. Pesavento has written several books on the subject of harmonic patterns and Fibonacci ratios in trading. Another notable contributor to harmonic patterns is Scott Carney, who developed his own approach to harmonic trading in the late 1990s and also popularised the use of Fibonacci ratios to measure harmonic patterns. Carney expanded on Gartley's work and also introduced several new harmonic patterns, such as the Shark pattern and the 5-0 pattern.
The bullish and bearish Gartley patterns are the oldest recognized harmonic patterns in trading and all the other harmonic patterns are ultimately modifications of the original Gartley patterns. Gartley patterns are fundamentally composed of 5 points, or 4 waves.
 Bullish and Bearish Shark Patterns 
• Bullish shark patterns are fundamentally composed of three troughs and two peaks, with the second peak being higher than the first peak and the second trough being higher than the first trough. The third trough must be lower than the second trough but can be above or below the first trough providing it meets the ratio requirements. 
• Bearish shark patterns are fundamentally composed of three peaks and two troughs, with the second trough being lower than the first trough and the second peak being lower than the first peak. The third peak must be higher than the second peak but can be above or below the first peak providing it meets the ratio requirements. 
The ratio measurements recommended by Scott Carney, who originated the pattern, are as follows:
• Wave 1 of the pattern, referred to as OX, has no specific ratio requirements.
• Wave 2 of the pattern, referred to as XA, has no specific ratio requirements.
• Wave 3 of the pattern, referred to as AB, should extend to at least 113%,  but no further than 161.8% of the range set by wave 2.
• Wave 4 of the pattern, referred to as BC, should extend to at least 161.8%, but no further than 224% of the range set by wave 3.
• The last measure, referred to as XC, is that of wave 4 as a ratio of the range set by wave 1, which should extend to at least 88.6%, but no further than 113%.
 Measurement Tolerances 
In general, tolerance in measurements refers to the allowable variation or deviation from a specific value or dimension. It is the range within which a particular measurement is considered to be acceptable or accurate. In this script I have applied this concept to the measurement of harmonic pattern ratios to increase to the frequency of pattern occurrences. 
For example, the AB measurement of Gartley patterns is generally set at around 61.8%, but with such specificity in the measuring requirements the patterns are very rare. We can increase the frequency of pattern occurrences by setting a tolerance. A tolerance of 10% to both downside and upside, which is the default setting for all tolerances, means we would have a tolerable measurement range between 51.8-71.8%, thus increasing the frequency of occurrence.

█   LIMITATIONS 
All green and red candle calculations are based on differences between open and close prices, as such I have made no attempt to account for green candles that gap lower and close below the close price of the preceding candle, or red candles that gap higher and close above the close price of the preceding candle. This may cause some unexpected behaviour on some markets and timeframes. I can only recommend using 24-hour markets, if and where possible, as there are far fewer gaps and, generally, more data to work with.
