1. OBV Line
This is the main indicator line, representing the cumulative volume. Its color changes to green when OBV is rising and red when it is falling.
2. Dynamic Support & Resistance Line
This is the thick Green or Red line that appears based on the strategy's current "mode." This line serves as a dynamic support/resistance level and can be used as a reference for stop-loss placement.
Green Line (Support): Appears when the strategy enters "Bull Mode." This line represents the lowest low of the OBV in the recent past and acts as dynamic support.
Red Line (Resistance): Appears when the strategy enters "Bear Mode." This line represents the highest high of the OBV in the recent past and acts as dynamic resistance.

Bull 🔼 (Green Up Triangle): This is the "Long Entry" signal. It appears at the moment the OBV first breaks out above its high-low channel.

How to Use
Add this script to the price chart of your choice.

SMA Length 1 / SMA Length 2: These are used to plot moving averages on the OBV for visual reference. They are part of the legacy logic and do not affect the new breakout strategy. However, they are kept for traders who may wish to observe their crossovers for additional confirmation.
High/Low Lookback Length: (Most Important Setting) This determines the period used to calculate the highest-high and lowest-low OBV channel. (Default is 30; adjust this to suit the asset's volatility).
A smaller value: Creates a narrower channel, leading to more frequent and faster signals, but potentially more false signals.
A larger value: Creates a wider channel, leading to fewer and slower signals, which are likely to be more significant.

Trend Harvester PRO is a fully systematic trend-following strategy built for cryptocurrency markets on intraday timeframes — particularly optimized for the 1-hour chart. The script combines ZLEMA-based trend tracking, momentum confirmation, and a volatility-aware filter to detect high-probability directional moves with clarity and precision.
This is not a mashup of random indicators — each component serves a specific purpose in validating trends, avoiding choppy zones, and timing entries responsibly.
🔍 Strategy Logic Overview
The core objective is to detect sustainable, real-time trends and exit with multi-stage profit targets. To do this, the script uses several layers of confirmation:
1. 📊 ZLEMA Trend Engine (Zero Lag EMA)
This is the backbone of the strategy.
ZLEMA (Zero-Lag EMA) is a moving average that minimizes lag by adjusting for past data offset.
The strategy uses a fast ZLEMA and a slow ZLEMA, combined with a slope calculation, to assess the current trend.
When:

The ZLEMA is rising (positive slope)
→ The market is considered in an uptrend.

2. ⚡ Momentum Confirmation
Trend direction alone isn’t enough — we also need momentum agreement.
The script calculates a smoothed Rate of Change (ROC) to evaluate if momentum supports the direction of the ZLEMA trend.
For long trades: ROC must be positive
For short trades: ROC must be negative
This prevents taking trades where price is crossing moving averages but lacks follow-through power.
3. 🌪️ Volatility Filter
Choppy markets are common in crypto. To reduce false signals:
The script compares short-term volatility (10-bar standard deviation of price changes) to longer-term volatility.
If the ratio is too high (i.e., short-term volatility is spiking), the strategy avoids entry.
This ensures trades are only taken when the market is relatively calm and directional — avoiding false breakouts.
4. 🧠 Confirmation Bars + Trend State
Signals only trigger after a certain number of consecutive bars confirm trend direction (confirmBars).
This prevents reacting to just 1 candle and requires consistent evidence of trend.
A state machine is used to track current trend status:
+1 = confirmed uptrend
-1 = confirmed downtrend
0 = neutral / no trade
This trend state changes only after all conditions are met and confirmation bars pass.
5. 🧊 Cooldown Enforcement
After a trade exits (from TP or a trend reversal), the strategy enforces a cooldown period before new entries are allowed. This:
Prevents back-to-back entries on trend flips
Reduces overtrading

The classic % block runs in parallel; its exits have priority because they call strategy.close_all().
Exit handling

Contracts: A fixed number of contracts is traded regardless of the current price.

Now what is a modern day CFD Prop Firm?
These companies sell simulated trading challenges for a challenge fee. If you complete the challenge you get access to simulated capital and you get a portion of the profits you make on those accounts payed out.
I've included some popular firms in the code as presets so it's easy to simulate them. Take into account that this info will likely be out of date soon as these prices and challenge conditions change.
Also, this tool will never be able to 100% simulate prop firm conditions and all their rules. All I aim to do with this tool is provide estimations.

The tool will then use the strategy equity of your own strategy and use this to simulat prop firms. Since these CFD prop firms work with different phases and payouts the indicator will simulate the gains until target or max drawdown / daily drawdown limit gets reached. If it reaches target it will go to the next phase and keep on doing that until it fails a challenge.
If in one of the phases there is a reward for completing, like a payout, refund, extra it will add this to the gains.
If you fail the challenge by reaching max drawdown or daily drawdown limit it will substract the challenge fee from the gains.
These gains are then visualised in the calendar so you can get an idea of yearly / monthly gains of the backtest. Remember, it is just a backtest so no guarantees of future income.
The bottom pane (non-overlay) is visualising the performance of the backtest during the phases. This way u can check if it is realistic. For instance if it only takes 1 bar on chart to reach target you are probably risking more than the firm wants you to risk. Also, it becomes much less clear if daily drawdown got hit in those high risk strategies, the results will be less accurate.
The daily drawdown limit get's reset every time there is a new dayofweek on chart.
If you set your prop firm preset setting to "'custom" the settings below that are applied as your prop firm settings. Otherwise it will use one of the template by default it's FTMO 100K.
The strategy I'm using as an example in this script is a simple Keltner Channel breakout strategy. I'm using a 0.05% commission per trade as that is what I found most common on crypto exchanges and it's close to the commissions+spread you get on a cfd prop firm. I'm targeting a 1% risk per trade in the backtest to try and stay within prop firm boundaries of max 1% risk per trade.

Moreover, strategy uses multi trades system, adding funds to long position if it considered that current trend has likely became stronger. Combination of AO and AC is used for creating so-called trading zones to create the signals, while Alligator and Fractal are used in conjunction as an approximation of short-term trend to filter them. The strategy opens long trade when the following price met the conditions:
1. Price closed above EMA (by default, period = 100). Crossover is not obligatory.
2. Combination of Alligator and Williams Fractals shall consider current trend as an upward (all details in "Justification of Methodology" paragraph)
3. Both AC and AO shall print two consecutive increasing values. At the price candle close which corresponds to this condition algorithm opens the first long trade with 10% of capital.
4. If combination of Alligator and Williams Fractals shall consider current trend has been changed from up to downtrend, all long trades will be closed, no matter how many trades has been opened.
5. If AO and AC both continue printing the rising values strategy opens the long trade on each candle close with 10% of capital while number of opened trades reaches 5.
6. If AO and AC both has printed 5 rising values in a row algorithm close all trades if candle's low below the low of the 5-th candle with rising AO and AC values in a row.
Script also has additional visuals. If second long trade has been opened simultaneously the Alligator's teeth line is plotted with the green color. Also for every trade in a row from 2 to 5 the label "Buy More" is also plotted just below the teeth line. With every next simultaneously opened trade the green color of the space between teeth and price became less transparent.

When the AC is below zero line and rising it suggests the decelerating the downtrend momentum. When AC is above the zero line and falling, it suggests the decelerating the uptrend momentum.
Now let's discuss the trading zones concept and how it can create the signal. Zones are created by the combination of AO and AC. We can divide three zone types:
Greed zone: when the AO and AC both are rising
Red zone: when the AO and AC both are decreasing
Gray zone: when one of AO or AC is rising, the other is falling
Gray zone is considered as uncertainty. AC and AO are moving in the opposite direction. Strategy skip such price action to decrease the chance to stuck in the losing trade during potential sideways. Red zone is also not interesting for the algorithm because both indicators consider the trend as bearish, but strategy opens only long trades. It is waiting for the green zone to increase the chance to open trade in the direction of the potential uptrend. When we have 2 candles in a row in the green zone script executes a long trade with 10% of capital.
Two green zone candles in a row is considered by algorithm as a bullish trend, but now so strong, that's the reason why trade is going to be closed when the combination of Alligator and Fractals will consider the the trend change from bullish to bearish. If id did not happens, algorithm starts to count the green zone candles in a row. When we have 5 in a row script change the trade closing condition. Such situation is considered is a high probability strong bull market and all trades will be closed if candle's low will be lower than fifth green zone candle's low. This is used to increase probability to secure the profit. If long trades are initiated, the strategy continues utilizing subsequent signals until the total number of trades reaches a maximum of 5. Each trade uses 10% of capital.
Why we use trading zones signals? If currently strategy algorithm considers the high probability of the short-term uptrend with the Alligator and Fractals combination pointed out above and the long-term trend is also suggested by the EMA filter as bullish. Rising AC and AO values in the direction of the most likely main trend signaling that we have the high probability of the fastest bullish phase on the market. The main idea is to take part in such rapid moves and add trades if this move continues its acceleration according to indicators.

Operating window: Date range of backtests is 2023.01.01 - 2024.12.31. It is chosen to let the strategy to close all opened positions.
Commission and Slippage: Includes a standard Binance commission of 0.1% and accounts for possible slippage over 5 ticks.
