Background

Function
The concept of skew comes from physics and statistics, and is used in market technical analysis to reflect the expectation of future stock price distribution. Because the return distribution of stocks in the trend market has skew (Skew), it is reasonable to judge the trend continuity according to the historical and current skew. It is precisely because the stock price rises that there is a skew. The greater the strength of the rise, the greater the angle of inclination and the greater the skew. The degree of this upward or downward slope in the statistical distribution of stock prices is defined as skew. Through the size of skew, we can know the direction, inertia and extent of the stock's rise or fall, and find stocks with a high probability of quick profit. The technical indicator introduced today is a simplified but effective stock price skew model used to generate buying and selling points.
The principle of this technical indicator is based on the success rate test results of different moving averages corresponding to different skews as follows:

As can be seen from the above table, with the increase of the 5-period and 10-period moving average skew values, the success rate is increasing, but after the 20- and 30-period moving average skew values increase to an upper bound, it shows a downward trend. When the skew of the 20-period and 30-period moving averages is greater than 0.5, the 10-period profit of 5% is above 60%, and when it is greater than 1.5, the success rate can reach above 70%. The larger the 5-period moving average skew, the higher the success rate, but often because the short-term skew is too large, the stock price has risen rapidly to a high level, and chasing up is risky, which is not suitable for the investment habits of most people, so prudent investors may like to do swings. Investors may wish to pay more attention to the skew of the 20-period and 30-period moving averages. Based on the above analysis, as a short-term trading enthusiast, I need to choose the 5-period and 10-period moving average skew, and consider the medium-term trend as a compromise, and I also need to consider the 20-period moving average skew. Finally, according to the principle of personal preference, I chose 3 groups of periods based on Fibonacci magic numbers: 3 periods, 8 periods, 21 periods, and skews that take into account both short-term and mid-line trends. So, I named this indicator number 3821 as a distinction.

The script colors bars via gradient.
By default, bars are colored lime when volume for the interval is "high" (exceeds upper quartile thresholds). The greener the bar, the higher the volume for the interval.
Bars are colored red when volume for the interval is "low" (fails to exceed lower quartile thresholds). The redder the bar, the lower the volume for the interval.
Naturally, brownish-colored bars reflect a volume interval that concluded near the median.
The image above exemplifies the process. This feature might be useful to categorize / objectively define high-volume clusters, low-volume clusters, high-volume price moves, low-volume price moves, etc.
For greater precision, you can select to color bars by volume quartile they belong to.

Additionally, you can select to plot the quartile/percentile that a price bar belongs to on the chart.

The script will distinguish successive 90th percentile violations, superimpose a linear regression channel atop the data sequence, and record pertinent statistics.

Range US Chart
A Range US chart operates irrespective of time and volume - simply - bars produce after a user-defined price move is achieved/exceeded in either direction. A range us chart produces “trend candles” and “reversal candles”. A reversal candle always moves against the most immediate bar; a trend candle always moves in favor of the most immediate bar. The user defines the dollar amount price must travel up/down for a trend candle to fulfill, and for a reversal candle to fulfill.
Note: if a “down reversal” candle (red) Is produced, it’s impossible for the next candle to also be a down reversal candle - for the downside move to continue the criteria for a down trend candle must be fulfilled. Similarly, if an “up reversal” candle (green) Is produced, it’s impossible for the next candle to also be an up reversal candle - for the upside move to continue, the criteria for an uptrend trend candle must be fulfilled. Consequently, Range US bars frequently trade at the same level for extended periods. This is intentional, as this chart type is theorized to “filter noise” (whether Range US charts fulfill this theory is to your discretion).
Lastly, if an up trend candle (green) is produced, the next candle cannot be up a reversal up candle - only a trend up candle or reversal down candle can produce - vice versa for a trend down candle (the subsequent candle cannot be a reversal down candle). In this sense, an uptrend continues on successive trend up candles; a down trend continues on successive trend down candles.

The lower-right stats table shows the requisite price move for a "Trend" candle to produce and for a "Reversal" candle to produce.
The default settings for this chart time automatically calculate the required "Trend" candle price move and the required "Reversal" candle price move. However, both settings are configurable.
The image above shows manually configured parameters for a trend bar and reversal bar to produce. This feature allows the user to replicate the Range US chart hosted on extrinsic charting platforms.
However, please consider that this script does not use tick data; 1-minute OHLC data is used for calculations.
Consequently, configuring the trend bar and reversal bar requirement too low may return inaccurate data. For instance, if you set trend candles to form after a $1 price move then trend candles will form if price moves up $1 from a green Range US bar or down $1 from a red Range US bar. This is sufficient for lower priced assets; however, if you were trading, for instance, Bitcoin - a $1 price move can happen numerous times in one minute. This script can’t plot bars and record data until a 1-minute bar closes and a new 1-minute bar opens. Further, if Bitcoin moves up $1 twenty times and down $1 twenty times in a 1-minute bar - your Range US chart will record such variations as one price move. This data is inaccurate and likely useless.
To counter this quandary, a warning message will appear if you configure trend bar price moves or reversal bar price moves too low.

Volume Aggregation Bars
TradingView user and member of the TradingView Discord server @ferreirajames informed me of the Volume Aggregation chart type. The user commented in the "Suggestions" channel for the TradingView Discord server asking for the Volume Aggregation chart type. As an interim fix, I tried my hand at recreating the process, which is available in this script.
Similar to the Range US chart type, Volume Aggregation bars aren’t bound to a time-axis; the bars form after a user-defined, cumulative amount of volume is achieved or exceeded. Consequently, once the cumulative amount of volume is achieved or exceeded - a bar is produced at the corresponding price level.
Underlying theory: The chat type is conducive to identifying price levels where traders are “trapped”. Whether the process adequately distinguishes this circumstance is to your discretion.
The image above exemplifies the Volume Aggregation chart type.
Regardless of the current price, Volume Aggregation bars for after a requisite amount of volume is achieved/exceeded. Tick data isn't used; therefore, remainder values are carry over.
By default, the script automatically calculates a proportional cumulative volume total to dictate the formation of Volume Aggregation bars. However, the cumulative threshold is configurable.
The image above shows Volume Aggregation bars forming subsequent a user-defined cumulative volume total being exceeded.
Note: This chart type uses OHLC data from the timeframe of your chart. Therefore, for instance, setting the volume threshold too low will produce inaccurate, useless data.
A warning message will appear for such occurrence.
Gaps
The indicator incorporates a "Gaps" chart type.
The image above shows accompanying features.
A list of all unfilled gaps is accessible - gaps for this list are sorted by distance from current price.
Partially filled gaps are displayed in the corresponding gap box - the percentage amount the gap was filled is also displayed.

Naturally, there may be gaps formed thousands of bars ago that aren't close to price. Showing these gaps on the chart will "scrunch" the y-axis and make prices indistinguishable.
I've added a setting that allows the user to hide gaps that are "n" % away from the current price. The gap, if unfilled, will reappear when price trades within the user-defined percentage.
The image above shows an example. There's an unfilled down gap that's "hidden" because the current price is a further % away from price than what I've specified in the settings (1%). When prices trade back within 1% of the gap - it will reappear.
The image above shows the process in action. Prices moved back within 1% (can be any %) of the gap; therefore, it reappeared on the chart.
You can also set the % distance a gap must achieve for it to be considered a gap, recorded and plotted. Additionally, you can select to "visualize" gaps. Similar to the Range US chart and the Volume Aggregation chart, this setting will bars reflecting the most recent sequence of gaps - date and percentage distance of the gap are superimposed atop the bar.

Note: The initial compilation time for this script is.... high. However, once the script's compiled, calculation load times are quick and you can sift through assets and timeframes relatively quick.
There's also a setting to "Improve Load Times" in the user-inputs table. This setting only improves the load times for post-compilation calculations and plots. The initial compilation load time is unchanged. Simply, once the indicator has "first loaded", all subsequent loads are quick.

What is the purpose of the strategy?
The strategy focuses on capturing the movement of trends, providing an entry signal for both LONG and SHORT positions.
To which time-frame of a chart is it applicable to?
According to the author, it is applicable to any chart in different markets.
What about risk management?
The author does not establish a risk management model for strategy. This is left to the definition of each trader.
How are the trends identified in this strategy?
A 20-periods Bollinger Bands with 0.382 deviation should be plotted on the chart. Prices above the upper band indicate an uptrend, on the other hand, prices below the lower band indicate an downtrend. Finally, prices between the two bands indicate sideways trend.
How to identify a signal for LONG entry?
The signal is given after five consecutive closes above the upper Bollinger band. After that, you must enter the trade after the first trade occurs above the high of the signal bar.
How to identify a signal for SHORT entry?
The signal is given after five consecutive closes below the lower Bollinger band. After that, you must enter the trade after the first trade occurs below the low of the signal bar.
Tips and tricks
In my backtest, I tried to prove the strategy from a position trading perspective, so I proposed use fixed stop-loss and take-profits. The stop-loss is defined as being low of the first bar that generated the movement until the signal bar. The value range from the stop-loss to the signal bar is used in determining the profit target. Given any trade, position closing will be triggered when the bar trading limit is reached.
Backtest features
Backtest parameters are fully customizable, for instance: number of bars inside a trend indicating trend maturity for entry, bar limit for trading entry (after a buy or sell signals). Also, the user chooses to validate only LONG or SHORT entries, or both. It is also possible to determine the specific time period for running the backtests.
Final message
In my tests, I noticed excellent results for other crypto pairs, for example: ETH/USDT, BNB/USDT, FIL/USDT, GALA/USDT and ILV/USDT. Of course, no one strategy works perfectly for every asset, crypto, and bond out there. That's why we should explore each trading model and carry out our backtests. Please, feel free to provide me with any improvement suggestions for the backtest script. Bear in mind, feel free to use the ideas in my script in your studies.

What is the purpose of the strategy?
The strategy is to buy the 123-Stormer pattern at the bottom of an uptrend and sell the 123-Stormer pattern at the top of a downtrend, aiming for a short stop for a long profit target.
To which timeframe of a chart is it applicable to?
Recommended for weekly and daily charts, as the signals are more reliable, being that strategy a good option for swing and position trading.
What about risk management and success rate?
The profit target is established by the author as being twice the risk assumed. Also according to the author, the strategy is mathematically positive, reaching around 65% of success rate in tradings.
How are the trends identified in this strategy?
Two averages are plotted to indicate the trend, a fast EMA average with an 8-week close and a slow EMA average with an 80-week close.
Uptrend happens whenever the fast EMA is above the slow EMA and prices are above the fast EMA. In this case, we should start looking for a LONG entry based on the signal of the 123-Stromer pattern to buying.
On the other hand, downtrend happens when the fast EMA is below the slow EMA and prices are below the fast EMA. In this case, we should start looking for a SHORT entry based on the signal of the 123-Stromer pattern to selling.
How to identify the 123-Stormer pattern for a LONG entry?
This pattern consists of three candles. The first candle has a higher low than the second candle's low, and the third candle has a higher low than the second candle's low. In this pattern, we will buy as soon as a trade occurs above the third candle's high, placing a stop as soon as a trade occurs below the second candle's low, with profit target twice the risk assumed. In another words, the amplitude of the prices of the three candles from the third candle’s high upwards. (you can use fibonacci extension to determine your stops and profit targets).
Importantly, the low of the three candles must be above the fast EMA average and in an uptrend.
How to identify the 123-Stormer pattern for a SHORT entry?
This pattern consists of three candles. The first candle has a lower high than the second candle's high, and the third candle has a lower high than the second candle's high. In this pattern, we will sell as soon as a trade occurs below the third candle's low, placing a stop as soon as a trade occurs above the second candle's high, with profit target twice the risk assumed. In other words, the amplitude of prices of the three candles from the third candle’s low down (you can use fibonacci extension to determine your stops and profit targets).
Importantly, the high of the three candles must be below the fast average and in a downtrend.
Tips and tricks
According to the author, the best signal for both LONG or SHORT entry is when the third candle is a inside bar of second candle.
Backtest features
Backtest parameters are fully customizable. The user chooses to validate only LONG or SHORT entries, or both. It is also possible to determine the specific time period for running the backtests, as well as setting a threshold in candels for entry by the 123-Stormer pattern.
Furthermore, for validation purposes, you can choose to activate the best signal of the pattern recommended by the author of the strategy, as well as change the values of the EMA averages or even deactivate them.

Included moving averages
ADXvma - Average Directional Volatility Moving Average
Linnsoft's ADXvma formula is a volatility-based moving average, with the volatility being determined by the value of the ADX indicator.
The ADXvma has the SMA in Chande's CMO replaced with an EMA, it then uses a few more layers of EMA smoothing before the "Volatility Index" is calculated.
A side effect is, those additional layers slow down the ADXvma when you compare it to Chande's Variable Index Dynamic Average VIDYA.
The ADXVMA provides support during uptrends and resistance during downtrends and will stay flat for longer, but will create some of the most accurate market signals when it decides to move.
Ahrens Moving Average
Richard D. Ahrens's Moving Average promises "Smoother Data" that isn't influenced by the occasional price spike. It works by using the Open and the Close in his formula so that the only time the Ahrens Moving Average will change is when the candlestick is either making new highs or new lows.
Alexander Moving Average - ALXMA
This Moving Average uses an elaborate smoothing formula and utilizes a 7 period Moving Average. It corresponds to fitting a second-order polynomial to seven consecutive observations. This moving average is rarely used in trading but is interesting as this Moving Average has been applied to diffusion indexes that tend to be very volatile.
Double Exponential Moving Average - DEMA
The Double Exponential Moving Average (DEMA) combines a smoothed EMA and a single EMA to provide a low-lag indicator. It's primary purpose is to reduce the amount of "lagging entry" opportunities, and like all Moving Averages, the DEMA confirms uptrends whenever price crosses on top of it and closes above it, and confirms downtrends when the price crosses under it and closes below it - but with significantly less lag.
Double Smoothed Exponential Moving Average - DSEMA
The Double Smoothed Exponential Moving Average is a lot less laggy compared to a traditional EMA. It's also considered a leading indicator compared to the EMA, and is best utilized whenever smoothness and speed of reaction to market changes are required.
Exponential Moving Average - EMA
The EMA places more significance on recent data points and moves closer to price than the SMA (Simple Moving Average). It reacts faster to volatility due to its emphasis on recent data and is known for its ability to give greater weight to recent and more relevant data. The EMA is therefore seen as an enhancement over the SMA.
Fast Exponential Moving Average - FEMA
An Exponential Moving Average with a short look-back period.
Fractal Adaptive Moving Average - FRAMA
The Fractal Adaptive Moving Average by John Ehlers is an intelligent adaptive Moving Average which takes the importance of price changes into account and follows price closely enough to display significant moves whilst remaining flat if price ranges. The FRAMA does this by dynamically adjusting the look-back period based on the market's fractal geometry.
Hull Moving Average - HMA
Alan Hull's HMA makes use of weighted moving averages to prioritize recent values and greatly reduce lag whilst maintaining the smoothness of a traditional Moving Average. For this reason, it's seen as a well-suited Moving Average for identifying entry points.
IE/2 - Early T3 by Tim Tilson
The IE/2 is a Moving Average that uses Linear Regression slope in its calculation to help with smoothing. It's a worthy Moving Average on it's own, even though it is the precursor and very early version of the famous "T3 Indicator".
Integral of Linear Regression Slope - ILRS
A Moving Average where the slope of a linear regression line is simply integrated as it is fitted in a moving window of length N (natural numbers in maths) across the data. The derivative of ILRS is the linear regression slope. ILRS is not the same as a SMA (Simple Moving Average) of length N, which is actually the midpoint of the linear regression line as it moves across the data.
Instantaneous Trendline
The Instantaneous Trendline is created by removing the dominant cycle component from the price information which makes this Moving Average suitable for medium to long-term trading.
Laguerre Filter
The Laguerre Filter is a smoothing filter which is based on Laguerre polynomials. The filter requires the current price, three prior prices, a user defined factor called Alpha to fill its calculation.
Adjusting the Alpha coefficient is used to increase or decrease its lag and it's smoothness.
Leader Exponential Moving Average
The Leader EMA was created by Giorgos E. Siligardos who created a Moving Average which was able to eliminate lag altogether whilst maintaining some smoothness. It was first described during his research paper "MACD Leader" where he applied this to the MACD to improve its signals and remove its lagging issue. This filter uses his leading MACD's "modified EMA" and can be used as a zero lag filter.
Linear Regression Value - LSMA (Least Squares Moving Average)
LSMA as a Moving Average is based on plotting the end point of the linear regression line. It compares the current value to the prior value and a determination is made of a possible trend, eg. the linear regression line is pointing up or down.
Linear Weighted Moving Average - LWMA
LWMA reacts to price quicker than the SMA and EMA. Although it's similar to the Simple Moving Average, the difference is that a weight coefficient is multiplied to the price which means the most recent price has the highest weighting, and each prior price has progressively less weight. The weights drop in a linear fashion.
McGinley Dynamic
John McGinley created this Moving Average to track price better than traditional Moving Averages. It does this by incorporating an automatic adjustment factor into its formula, which speeds (or slows) the indicator in trending, or ranging, markets.
McNicholl EMA
Dennis McNicholl developed this Moving Average to use as his center line for his "Better Bollinger Bands" indicator and was successful because it responded better to volatility changes over the standard SMA and managed to avoid common whipsaws.
Non lag moving average
The Non Lag Moving average follows price closely and gives very quick signals as well as early signals of price change. As a standalone Moving Average, it should not be used on its own, but as an additional confluence tool for early signals.
Parabolic Weighted Moving Average
The Parabolic Weighted Moving Average is a variation of the Linear Weighted Moving Average. The Linear Weighted Moving Average calculates the average by assigning different weight to each element in its calculation. The Parabolic Weighted Moving Average is a variation that allows weights to be changed to form a parabolic curve. It is done simply by using the Power parameter of this indicator.
Recursive Moving Trendline
Dennis Meyers's Recursive Moving Trendline uses a recursive (repeated application of a rule) polynomial fit, a technique that uses a small number of past values estimations of price and today's price to predict tomorrows price.
Simple Moving Average - SMA
The SMA calculates the average of a range of prices by adding recent prices and then dividing that figure by the number of time periods in the calculation average. It is the most basic Moving Average which is seen as a reliable tool for starting off with Moving Average studies. As reliable as it may be, the basic moving average will work better when it's enhanced into an EMA.
Sine Weighted Moving Average
The Sine Weighted Moving Average assigns the most weight at the middle of the data set. It does this by weighting from the first half of a Sine Wave Cycle and the most weighting is given to the data in the middle of that data set. The Sine WMA closely resembles the TMA (Triangular Moving Average).
Smoothed Moving Average - SMMA
The Smoothed Moving Average is similar to the Simple Moving Average (SMA), but aims to reduce noise rather than reduce lag. SMMA takes all prices into account and uses a long lookback period. Due to this, it's seen a an accurate yet laggy Moving Average.
Smoother
The Smoother filter is a faster-reacting smoothing technique which generates considerably less lag than the SMMA (Smoothed Moving Average). It gives earlier signals but can also create false signals due to its earlier reactions. This filter is sometimes wrongly mistaken for the superior Jurik Smoothing algorithm.
Super Smoother
The Super Smoother filter uses John Ehlers’s “Super Smoother” which consists of a a Two pole Butterworth filter combined with a 2-bar SMA (Simple Moving Average) that suppresses the 22050 Hz Nyquist frequency: A characteristic of a sampler, which converts a continuous function or signal into a discrete sequence.
Three pole Ehlers Butterworth
The 3 pole Ehlers Butterworth (as well as the Two pole Butterworth) are both superior alternatives to the EMA and SMA. They aim at producing less lag whilst maintaining accuracy. The 2 pole filter will give you a better approximation for price, whereas the 3 pole filter has superior smoothing.
Three pole Ehlers smoother
The 3 pole Ehlers smoother works almost as close to price as the above mentioned 3 Pole Ehlers Butterworth. It acts as a strong baseline for signals but removes some noise. Side by side, it hardly differs from the Three Pole Ehlers Butterworth but when examined closely, it has better overshoot reduction compared to the 3 pole Ehlers Butterworth.
Triangular Moving Average - TMA
The TMA is similar to the EMA but uses a different weighting scheme. Exponential and weighted Moving Averages will assign weight to the most recent price data. Simple moving averages will assign the weight equally across all the price data. With a TMA (Triangular Moving Average), it is double smoother (averaged twice) so the majority of the weight is assigned to the middle portion of the data.
The TMA and Sine Weighted Moving Average Filter are almost identical at times.
Triple Exponential Moving Average - TEMA
The TEMA uses multiple EMA calculations as well as subtracting lag to create a tool which can be used for scalping pullbacks. As it follows price closely, it's signals are considered very noisy and should only be used in extremely fast-paced trading conditions.
Two pole Ehlers Butterworth
The 2 pole Ehlers Butterworth (as well as the three pole Butterworth mentioned above) is another filter that cuts out the noise and follows the price closely. The 2 pole is seen as a faster, leading filter over the 3 pole and follows price a bit more closely. Analysts will utilize both a 2 pole and a 3 pole Butterworth on the same chart using the same period, but having both on chart allows its crosses to be traded.
Two pole Ehlers smoother
A smoother version of the Two pole Ehlers Butterworth. This filter is the faster version out of the 3 pole Ehlers Butterworth. It does a decent job at cutting out market noise whilst emphasizing a closer following to price over the 3 pole Ehlers.
Volume Weighted EMA - VEMA
Utilizing tick volume in MT4 (or real volume in MT5), this EMA will use the Volume reading in its decision to plot its moves. The more Volume it detects on a move, the more authority (confirmation) it has. And this EMA uses those Volume readings to plot its movements.
Studies show that tick volume and real volume have a very strong correlation, so using this filter in MT4 or MT5 produces very similar results and readings.
Zero Lag DEMA - Zero Lag Double Exponential Moving Average
John Ehlers's Zero Lag DEMA's aim is to eliminate the inherent lag associated with all trend following indicators which average a price over time. Because this is a Double Exponential Moving Average with Zero Lag, it has a tendency to overshoot and create a lot of false signals for swing trading. It can however be used for quick scalping or as a secondary indicator for confluence.
Zero Lag Moving Average
The Zero Lag Moving Average is described by its creator, John Ehlers, as a Moving Average with absolutely no delay. And it's for this reason that this filter will cause a lot of abrupt signals which will not be ideal for medium to long-term traders. This filter is designed to follow price as close as possible whilst de-lagging data instead of basing it on regular data. The way this is done is by attempting to remove the cumulative effect of the Moving Average.
Zero Lag TEMA - Zero Lag Triple Exponential Moving Average
Just like the Zero Lag DEMA, this filter will give you the fastest signals out of all the Zero Lag Moving Averages. This is useful for scalping but dangerous for medium to long-term traders, especially during market Volatility and news events. Having no lag, this filter also has no smoothing in its signals and can cause some very bizarre behavior when applied to certain indicators.

What are Heiken Ashi "better" candles?
The "better formula" was proposed in an article/memo by BNP-Paribas (In Warrants & Zertifikate, No. 8, August 2004 (a monthly German magazine published by BNP Paribas, Frankfurt), there is an article by Sebastian Schmidt about further development (smoothing) of Heikin-Ashi chart.)
They proposed to use the following:
(Open+Close)/2+(((Close-Open)/( High-Low ))*ABS((Close-Open)/2))
instead of using :
haClose = (O+H+L+C)/4
According to that document the HA representation using their proposed formula is better than the traditional formula.
What are traditional Heiken-Ashi candles?
The Heikin-Ashi technique averages price data to create a Japanese candlestick chart that filters out market noise.
Heikin-Ashi charts, developed by Munehisa Homma in the 1700s, share some characteristics with standard candlestick charts but differ based on the values used to create each candle. Instead of using the open, high, low, and close like standard candlestick charts, the Heikin-Ashi technique uses a modified formula based on two-period averages. This gives the chart a smoother appearance, making it easier to spots trends and reversals, but also obscures gaps and some price data.

This is an indicator that brings together Bollinger Bands and Keltner's Channels in one thing.
Both are very similar, so I decided to make a merge of the best features I found out there.
Here there is the possibility of choosing one of these two as needed.

Keltner Channels vs. Bollinger Bands
"These two indicators are quite similar.
Keltner Channels use ATR to calculate the upper and lower bands while Bollinger Bands use standard deviation instead.
The interpretation of the indicators is similar, although since the calculations are different the two indicators may provide slightly different information or trade signals."

Bollinger Bands (BB)
"Bollinger Bands (BB) are a widely popular technical analysis instrument created by John Bollinger in the early 1980’s.
Bollinger Bands consist of a band of three lines which are plotted in relation to security prices.
The line in the middle is usually a Simple Moving Average (SMA) set to a period of 20 days (the type of trend line and period can be changed by the trader; however a 20 day moving average is by far the most popular).
The SMA then serves as a base for the Upper and Lower Bands which are used as a way to measure volatility by observing the relationship between the Bands and price.
Typically the Upper and Lower Bands are set to two standard deviations away from the SMA (The Middle Line); however the number of standard deviations can also be adjusted by the trader."

Keltner Channels (KC)
"The Keltner Channels (KC) indicator is a banded indicator similar to Bollinger Bands and Moving Average Envelopes.
They consist of an Upper Envelope above a Middle Line as well as a Lower Envelope below the Middle Line.
The Middle Line is a moving average of price over a user-defined time period.
Either a simple moving average or an exponential moving average are typically used. The Upper and Lower Envelopes (user defined) are set a range away from the Middle Line.
This can be a multiple of the daily high/low range, or more commonly a multiple of the Average True Range."

Counting Stars Overlay [Market Overview Series]Hi fellow tradeurs,
So it's always been my goal to provide one of my best scripts. This is from what I call my "Market Overview" series. It is a scanner for my second best script to date. Market Overview bc of its origins as a scanner of the Kucoin Margin Coins. I realize that there are more coins that there are more margin coins that Kucoin has but I wanted to have a solid 40 coins on each coin "set". If you are unfamiliar with what I mean by 'sets' then you can view my other scanner scripts on this account for futher elaboration but to sum it up....there are 4 sets of coins I have to choose from in the settings. Each set has 40 coins in them (as there is a cap of 40 security calls that can be made per each iteration of the script on the chart). That being said...if you have the capabilities then add this script 4 times to your chart and select a diff set for each copy of the script. This has the scanner in a way that I've yet to present in my others scripts. When the alert for a coin goes off then the coins name will be printed as a label over the main chart. BTW, this was built for the 1 min timeframe and have used it EXTENSIVELY and this is the best TF for how the settings are set. I will also publish another script that will be a visual aid for this one but will rather show all the plots associated with the code that is in this scanner. Know that for the scanner it'll be best to choose a coin that has at least 1 trade/update/printed candle per minute (to be safe use BTC or ETH chart or else some of the signals will be printed if the signal arrives at a point in time where the coin on the screen does not print a candle bc no new trade or update to trades occur in TradingView. For the visual aid script that I will add right after this, there will be 20 different plots that appear. When the AVG of all of these plots is beyond the OverBought line and then the AVG line is falling for 2 bars...THEN the long signal for that coin is generated (and vise versa for short signals) Lastly regarding the visual aid script, THAT ONE will ONLY show the 20 plots that are associated with the coin that the chart is selected for. So that one is not a scanner and is just a stand alone script (again) to show whats going on in the background of this scanner. Now, once you add it however many time you want to see however many sets of coins you want, I recommend merging the scales so that they are all on one scale. I prefer mine being on the left side but all you have to do is select the 3 dots in the scripts settings in the chart window and select the scale location line and it'll open another set of lines at which point you can select "merge to scale Z" (that will be the left scale) and will put all the scales together on the left. I forgot ****If you want to see a whole diff exchange's coins you much make changes to this original script and it is further described how to do so in one of my first publications**** I REALLY hope it becomes of some benefit to you in your trading as it abundantly has in my own. It is after all one of the best of my best. Ohh, I forgot to add alerts to this but will do so immediately following this. To finish, this script DOES NOT REPAINT as far as I have EVER seen (and I have extensively searched for it bc of how good the signals were, I figured I MUST HAVE made a mistake and it did so...but alas...it does not. If you notice something on the contrary do notify me immediately with the coin, exchange, TF, and time of the occurrence and we can go from there. [CP]Pivot Boss Multi Timeframe CPR Inception with MACD and EMAINTRODUCTION:
This indicator combines multi-timeframe CPR bands with MACD Momentum and EMA trend, all projected on the candlestick chart through a novel visualization.
If you have seen my other indicators on TradingView, you would know that I use floor pivots a lot and “Secrets of a Pivot Boss” is my favorite book. While using floor pivots, time and again I have noticed an interesting price behavior,
Trending moves in price typically start from around the Central Pivot Range (CPR). The CPR could be from ANY timeframe. These moves can easily be caught using simple momentum and trend indicators like MACD and EMA crossovers.
Yes, it is that simple. Follow along to understand how to use this indicator.
INDICATOR SETTINGS:
RANGEBOUND MACD AND EMA MARKINGS:
TradingView limits the max number of labels that can be shown on a chart to 500. Therefore, if you go far back enough, you won't see any markings for the MACD or EMA setups. If you are looking to test the efficacy of this indicator in the past, change the start and end dates to your desired timeframe and then select the ‘Mark MACD and EMA Setups in Range?’ option.
MULTI TIMEFRAME CENTRAL PIVOT RANGE:
Here you can select CPRs and their bands from which timeframes are shown on the chart. I will share my favorite settings later in this description.
CPR CONFIGURATION:
Show CPR Labels: CPRs markings can carry labels, so that you don’t confuse between which line is what. Use this setting to toggle them On/Off.
Show Next Time Period Pivots: Check this option if you want to see the CPR of the next time period. This is typically done to figure out the ’Two Day CPR Relationship’ . Read the book, “Secrets of a Pivot Boss”, to understand more.
EMA TREND:
Show EMA on the Chart: EMAs will be plotted on the chart. Standard stuff.
Mark EMA Crossovers on Chart: EMA crossovers will be marked on the chart in diamond shapes. If you are using EMA crossovers, I recommend setting this option to True.
Rest of the EMA settings are fairly obvious.
MACD MOMENTUM:
Projecting MACD parameters directly on the candlesticks is surely going to give you a new perspective about price action and MACD.
Also, in order to better understand the MACD projections on the chart, you can add a standard MACD indicator on the chart with default settings to figure out what my indicator is actually showing you.
Marking MACD Crossovers on Chart: Marks the MACD signal crossovers on the chart. This visualization was a game changer for me.
Show MACD Histogram on Chart: Projects the complete MACD Histogram in a novel fashion (Try it!). You will be able to visually see the ebbs and flow of momentum in the charts.
Mark MACD Histogram Peaks on Chart: Marks only the MACD peaks instead of the complete histogram. Peaks are a great way to enter an ongoing trend and to play an intraday rangebound market.
Rest of the settings are just the standard settings that you will find in a typical MACD indicator.
ALERTS:
Not shown in the settings panel, but I have added alerts for EMA and MACD Crossovers so that you don’t have to sit in front of the charts or constantly check the price all day long.
If you don’t know how to set alerts in TradingView, then please Google it.
INDICATOR USAGE EXAMPLES:
This indicator can be used in intraday as well as in higher timeframes.
There are quite a few variations possible, I personally prefer to use the EMA crossovers in intraday (5m) and MACD on Daily timeframes.
This is just a matter of personal preference, some people might prefer using EMAs only or MACD only in all timeframes.
Here are my personal settings for the intraday 5-minute timeframe:
Turn on all the CPR pivots starting from Yearly all the way to Daily. You can turn on 6 hourly and 4 hourly as well if you want.
Hourly CPR is mostly used when the price is in a strong trend and you missed the entry and don’t know when to enter. Price will typically experience pullbacks towards the Hourly CPR, before resuming in the direction of the trend. That is your chance to hop onto the bandwagon.
For Intraday, I keep the Bands off. Just a personal preference here.
You can turn ON the Show CPR Labels , if you want.
Turn ON both the options in the EMA TREND section. You would want to see the EMA crossovers marked on the chart as well as the EMAs themselves, as the distance between the two EMAs will give you an idea about the strength of the trend.
Keep rest of the settings in the EMA section as default (you can change the colors if you wish). I keep the same EMAs as the ones kept in the MACD indicator. I like to keep things simple.
In the MACD MOMENTUM section, turn ON Mark MACD Histogram Peaks on Chart and all the other options turned OFF. Leave the other settings as default. By the way, these are the default settings of the standard MACD Indicator.
You can set up EMA Bullcross and Bearcross alarms if you like.
Before checking out the examples, remember one super simple rule:
SOME OF THE BEST TRENDING MOVES IN THE MARKET, BE IT INTRADAY OR OTHERWISE, ORIGINATE IN THE VICINITY OF A LARGER TIMEFRAME PIVOT/CPR.
Look for price settling above/below a pivot, and then a move away from the pivot in any direction is typically a trending move.
You can use hourly pivots or MACD Histogram peaks marked on the chart to enter an existing trend, or add to your positions.
Let’s have a look at a few recent intraday examples from the Crypto, Indian, and US equity markets.
I have added my comments in the charts to make you easily understand what is going on.
Understand that both, moving average crossover and MACD, will give out a lot of signals (chop) every day. But almost 70% of them are going to be fake signals. It is the signals that you get when the price is near a Pivot, that tend to convert into gorgeous trending moves that last.

Some important points for using this indicator in higher timeframes:
For higher timeframes, my personal preference is to go with the MACD indicator. I personally find MACD to be lethal on daily and weekly timeframes, if you know how to use it well.
The default settings of the indicator are the settings I use for both, Daily and Weekly, timeframes. Additionally, I turn off the CPR labels.
In theory large trending moves still have a big probability to start near an important pivot level, however, in larger timeframes, trending moves can start from anywhere. They need not start in the vicinity of any important pivot (but they often do!).
Weekly pivots can act as great pullback levels when the price is in strong momentum, when trading on the daily timeframe.
Quarterly Pivots act as great pullback levels when the price is in strong momentum, when trading on the weekly timeframe.

FINAL WORDS:
Please understand that I have Cherry Picked the examples to showcase the capability of the indicator and its usage.
DO NOT conflate the accuracy of examples with the accuracy of this indicator.
Biggest catch is the fact that this indicator, like every other indicator out there, will have whipsaws. Some I have also marked in the example charts.
You need to come up with your own technique to avoid whipsaws, one technique I have shared here…… big moves typically start near pivots.
Work on avoiding whipsaws and finding you own edge in the markets.

RSI Wave SignalsQuick Description: Smoothed RSI with optimized trailing moving average. Look for cross above or cross under signals for buy and sell orders respectively.
VIDYA moving average of RSI incorporated with "optimized trend tracker" system. Thanks to kivancozbilgic and anilozeksi for implementing this great idea on Tradingview. The indicator adds "1,000" to the RSI MA values for more natural and accurate percentage trailing.
Settings:
- Period MA is the moving average length of the blue line
- Trailing Percentage of MA adjusts the percentage (sort of) trailing level of the moving average.
- RSI Length adjusts the rsi length in calculation.
Trading Tips:
- System might be enhanced by taking signals only on "oversold" or "overbought" territories (i.e <~1020 or >~1080)
- Adjust position size of by 4 times of atr(length=14)
- Take 50% of position as profit when position reaches the 4*atr TP Level (breakeven)
- Let the rest ride.
- Best performing on short frequencies such as 1, 3, 5 mins.

Maybe another version of the Bears Bulls indicator, but with a unique interpretation on the scripts found here on Tradingview. Again, this indicator is not meant to be used alone but as an entry/exit confirmation with other indicators.
█ CONCEPTS
Using a modified version of the WMA indicator, the LWMA , this indicator will work similarly to the Bears Bulls Power indicator. Quoting from Admiral Markets, "Bulls Power measures the capability of buyers in the market to lift prices above an average consensus of value. Bears Power measures the capability of sellers to drag prices below an average consensus of value. Using them in tandem with a trend measure allows you to identify favorable entry points."
█ HOW TO USE IT
As soon as the color changes, it indicates a change in the price direction and divergences. Green buy, red sell? Not that simple, but following that pattern for scalping may result in some good entries. Following this indicator blindly will not be accurate as using another indicator to filter the signals in favor of a major trend (that indicator could be another Bears Bulls Inpulse from a higher time frame)
Recessions [TXMC]This simple indicator prints a red band when US markets experience a recession. This data is taken directly from the Federal Reserve via TradingView.
This script is a good pair with my Treasury Yield Spread 10y-2y indicator.
Bond Yeild CurveBond Yeild Curve
A bond yeild curve is a line that plot the interest rate of bonds of each maturity dates.
The slope of the curve give the future of economy cycle.
if the slope could be normal (positive), flat or even inverted.
This indicator aquired data of bond yeild provided by TradingView.
How to use it.
Select the country of the bond / another country to compare.
Select the maturity of bond (this indicator set 2Y, 5Y, 10Y and 20Y as default).
You can toggle to 3 different data set; Yeild, Spread (10Y-2Y) and Yeild Curve.
In case that you select the "Yeild Curve", you can customize the desired past period to compare.
How we can get the benefit.
- If the current spread is greater than 1.0, it suppose that the economy of that country probably is ok.
- if the current spread is between 0 - 1.0, it suppose to be flatted and probably turn to invert and the economy cound be in a recession soon.
- if the current spread is below 0, it suppose to be inverted and economy is in recession.
when knowing the state of economy, it would help us to manage our investment.

[GarufiCommunity] Multi Indicator: VWAPs, MA, Pivot PointsThis script provides a collection of indicators to help traders look at multiple trends while maintaining a consistent configuration, even when jumping around different timeframes and symbols.
Additionally, this collection is particularly useful when trading decisions involve looking at dozens of indicators and analyzing, in aggregate, their confluence.
With this collection of indicators you can configure anchored VWAPs, MA, and Pivot Points:
- Anchored VWAPs: For each you define a fixed time and date to anchor it in the graph, and it stays consistent even when you change the symbol. An example use case can be setting one of the VWAPs to always start on the first candle on January 1st 2021, and a second VWAP a decade prior, so you don’t need to keep manually adjusting/adding VWAPs to the graph. At the moment you can define up to 4 anchored VWAPs.
- MA and Pivot Points: For each you can set independent timeframes, periods, and types, while using a single configuration panel. This helps reduce the amount of clicking needed when trying different configurations, such as testing different MA and Pivot periods and comparing how each behave in the graph (this personally helps me build trust in indicators). Permits use of up to 3 MAs and 2 Pivot Points.
Lastly, this script leverages and reuses modified code from the sources below:
- Médias e Tempos-v.2.1 by VeraLucia (with permission);
- Multiple Anchored VWAP v1.0 by GuilhermeNogueira (with permission);
- Pivot Point by TradingView.
Exchange Down / Up Volume RatioI attended some workshop yesterday and I noticed that one of the presenters had an indicator titled 'price ratio' and had DVOL and UVOL as the inputs.
From some deduction, I see that it was basically looking at the ratio of down by up volume on the NYSE exchange; he had a few levels marked as well (which I've also marked on this indicator).
Seems like an interesting metric to consider, basically used to get a rough idea of the short term sentiment of the masses; allowing one to see when selling is outpacing buying in pure volume traded on an exchange.
I've added a few other exchanges to allow for quick switch between the majors with this info readily available on TradingView.
Supported inputs are: AMEX, NYSE, NASDAQ, ALL (must be in caps)
All is the sum of the NYSE, AMEX, and NASDAQ exchange volume.
