TASC 2023.12 Growth and Value Switching System█ OVERVIEW
This script implements a rotation system for trading value and growth ETFs, as developed by Markos Katsanos and detailed in the article titled 'Growth Or Value?' in TASC's December 2023 edition of Traders' Tips . The purpose of this script is to demonstrate how short-term momentum can be employed to track market trends and provide clarity on when to switch between value and growth.
█ CONCEPTS
The central concept of the presented rotation strategy is based on the observation that the stock market undergoes cycles favoring either growth or value stocks. Consequently, the script introduces a momentum trading system that is designed to switch between value and growth equities based on prevailing market conditions. Specifically tailored for long-term index investors, the system focuses on trading Vanguard's value and growth ETFs ( VTV and VUG ) on a weekly timeframe.
To identify the ETF likely to outperform, the script uses a custom relative strength indicator applied to both VTV and VUG in comparison with an index ( SPY ). To minimize risk and drawdowns during bear markets, when both value and growth experience downtrends, the script employs the author's custom volume flow indicator (VFI) and blocks trades when its reading indicates money outflow . Positions are closed if the relative strength of the current open trade ETF falls below that of the other ETF for two consecutive weeks and is also below its moving average. Additionally, the script implements a stop-loss when the ETF is trading below its 40-week moving average, but only during bear markets.
The script plots the relative strengths of the value and growth equities along with the signals triggered by the aforementioned rules. Information about the current readings of the relative strength and volume flow indicators, along with the current open position, is displayed in a table.
█ CALCULATIONS
The script uses the request.security() function to gather price data for both equities and the reference index. Custom relative strength and volume flow indicators are calculated based on the formulas presented in the original article. By default, the script employs the same parameters for these indicators as proposed in the original article for VTV and VUG on a weekly timeframe.

## █ Introduction and How it is Different
The trading strategy in question is an enhanced version of the SuperTrend indicator, combined with AI elements and an ADX filter. It's a multi-timeframe strategy that incorporates two SuperTrends from different timeframes and utilizes a k-nearest neighbors (KNN) algorithm for trend prediction. It's different from traditional SuperTrend indicators because of its AI-based predictive capabilities and the addition of the ADX filter for trend strength.

## █ Strategy, How it Works: Detailed Explanation (Revised)
### Multi-Timeframe Approach
The strategy leverages the power of multiple timeframes by incorporating two SuperTrend indicators, each calculated on a different timeframe. This multi-timeframe approach provides a holistic view of the market's trend. For example, a 8-hour timeframe might capture the medium-term trend, while a daily timeframe could capture the longer-term trend. When both SuperTrends align, the strategy confirms a more robust trend.
### K-Nearest Neighbors (KNN)
The KNN algorithm is used to classify the direction of the trend based on historical SuperTrend values. It uses weighted voting of the 'k' nearest data points. For each point, it looks at its 'k' closest neighbors and takes a weighted average of their labels to predict the current label. The KNN algorithm is applied separately to each timeframe's SuperTrend data.
### SuperTrend Indicators
Two SuperTrend indicators are used, each from a different timeframe. They are calculated using different moving averages and ATR lengths as per user settings. The SuperTrend values are then smoothed to make them suitable for KNN-based prediction.
### ADX and DMI Filters
The ADX filter is used to eliminate weak trends. Only when the ADX is above 20 and the directional movement index (DMI) confirms the trend direction, does the strategy signal a buy or sell.
### Combining Elements
A trade signal is generated only when both SuperTrends and the ADX filter confirm the trend direction. This multi-timeframe, multi-indicator approach reduces false positives and increases the robustness of the strategy.
By considering multiple timeframes and using machine learning for trend classification, the strategy aims to provide more accurate and reliable trade signals.

Renko StrategyRENKO STRATEGY
CAUTION : This strategy must be applied to a candlestick chart (not a Renko chart).
INTRODUCTION :
The Traditional Renko chart has been reproduced and is plotted according to the evolution of the price. It will enable us to receive buy or sell signals and follow major trends. This is a medium/long term strategy and depends a lot on the box size chosen in the parameters. There's also a money management method allowing us to reinvest part of the profits or reduce the size of orders in the event of substantial losses.
RENKO CHART :
Renko chart construction methodology :
The user must first choose the box size. The minimum is 0.00001 and there is no maximum. The default is 10. The user must then choose the source that will define the data on which the calculations will be based (high, low, open, close). By default, close is selected. The first candle on the chart is used to draw the first box with its high and low.
Each time the price changes by the amount of the box size relative to the high or low of the last box, a new box is added above or below the previous one. If price variations are less than the box size, the same box is added next to the previous one. If price variations are N (integer number) times greater than box size, N boxes are added above or below the previous one. Each box added above the previous one is a green box, while each box added below the previous one is a red box.
Conditions for drawing a green box above the previous one :
(source - high_of_the_last_box) / box_size > 1
Condition for drawing a red box below the previous one :
(low_of_the_last_box - source) / box_size > 1
If neither condition is triggered, the same box is drawn next to the previous one.
Example :
The last candle has drawn a box with low 12 and high 14. The box size is therefore 2. The strategy will look at the value of the close each time a candle ends. The current candle closes with a close equal to 15.5. As the variation from the previous high is only 1.5 (which is less than the box size), the same box is added next to the previous one. The next candle closes at 16.2. The price variation is therefore 2.2 compared with the previous high. We can now add a new green box just above the previous one, with a low of 14 and a high of 16. The same process applies if the candle's close is at least one box size below the low of the last box. In this case, a new red box is placed below the previous one.
PARAMETERS :
Source : Allows you to specify which data will be taken into account by the strategy when performing calculations. The default is close.
Box size : Size of Renko graph boxes. This is a very important parameter to choose carefully, as it has a strong impact on the strategy's performance. Defaults to 10.
Fixed Ratio : This is the amount of gain or loss at which the order quantity is changed. The default is 400, meaning that for each $400 gain or loss, the order size is increased or decreased by a user-selected amount.
Increasing Order Amount : This is the amount to be added to or subtracted from orders when the fixed ratio is reached. The default is $200, which means that for every $400 gain, $200 is reinvested in the strategy. On the other hand, for every $400 loss, the order size is reduced by $200.
Initial capital : $1000
Fees : Interactive Broker fees apply to this strategy. They are set at 0.18% of the trade value.
Slippage : 3 ticks or $0.03 per trade. Corresponds to the latency time between the moment the signal is received and the moment the order is executed by the broker.
Important : A bot has been used to test all possible box sizes to find out which one generates the highest return on BITSTAMP:LTCUSD while limiting the drawdown. This strategy is the most optimal with a box size equal to 5.08 in 8h timeframe.
BUY AND SHORT SIGNALS :
As the aim of this strategy is to follow major trends based on price movements, we need to be on the right side of price fluctuation. We trade every box reversal, i.e. we are LONG when the boxes are green indicating an uptrend and SHORT when they are red indicating a downtrend.
RISK MANAGEMENT :
This strategy can incur losses. The size of the box is decisive, as it is used to plot the RENKO chart and thus trigger buy or sell signals. It's also what allows us to manage risk. For every trade, we risk a maximum amount equal to 2 times the size of the box, i.e. :(5.08*2*nb_contract)/trade_value.
MONEY MANAGEMENT :
The fixed ratio method has been used to manage our gains and losses. For each gain of an amount equal to the value of the fixed ratio, we increase the order size by a value defined by the user in the "Increasing order amount" parameter. Similarly, each time we lose an amount equal to the value of the fixed ratio, we decrease the order size by the same user-defined value. This strategy not only increases our performance, but also our drawdown.

The IPDA Standard Deviations tool encompasses the Time and price relationship as studied by @TraderDext3r .
I am not the creator of this Theory, and I do not hold the answers to all the questions you may have; I suggest you to study it from Dexter's tweets, videos, and material.
This tool was born from a collaboration between @TraderDext3r, @tradeforopp and I, with the objective of bringing a comprehensive IPDA Standard Deviations tool to Tradingview.
> Tool Description
This is purely a graphical aid for traders to be able to quickly determine Fractal IPDA Time Windows, and trace the potential Standard Deviations of the moves at their respective high and low extremes.
The disruptive value of this tool is that it allows traders to save Time by automatically adapting the Time Windows based on the current chart's Timeframe, as well as providing customizations to filter and focus on the appropriate Standard Deviations.

The underlying idea is based on the Interbank Price Delivery Algorithm's lookback windows on the daily chart as taught by the Inner Circle Trader:
IPDA looks at the past three months of price action to determine how to deliver price in the future.
Additionally, the ICT concept of projecting specific manipulation moves prior to large displacement upwards/downwards is used to navigate and interpret the priorly mentioned displacement move. We pay attention to specific Standard Deviations based on the current environment and overall narrative.
Dexter being one of the most prominent Inner Circle Trader students, harnessed the fractal nature of price to derive fractal IPDA Lookback Time Windows for lower Timeframes, and studied the behaviour of price at specific Deviations.
For Example:
The -1 to -2 area can initiate an algorithmic retracement before continuation.
The -2 to -2.5 area can initiate an algorithmic retracement before continuation, or a Smart Money Reversal.
The -4 area should be seen as the ultimate objective, or the level at which the displacement will slow down.
Given that these ideas stem from ICT's concepts themselves, they are to be used hand in hand with all other ICT Concepts (PD Array Matrix, PO3, Institutional Price Levels, ...).
> Fractal IPDA Time Windows
The IPDA Lookbacks Types identified by Dexter are as follows:
Monthly – 1D Chart: one widow per Month, highlighting the past three Months.
Weekly – 4H to 8H Chart: one window per Week, highlighting the past three Weeks.
Daily – 15m to 1H Chart: one window per Day, highlighting the past three Days.
Intraday – 1m to 5m Chart: one window per 4 Hours highlighting the past 12 Hours.
Inside these three respective Time Windows, the extreme High and Low will be identified, as well as the prior opposing short term market structure point. These represent the anchors for the Standard Deviation Projections.
> Tool Settings
The User is able to plot any type of Standard Deviation they want by inputting them in the settings, in their own line of the text box. They will always be plotted from the Time Windows extremes.
As previously mentioned, the User is also able to define their own Timeframe intervals for the respective IPDA Lookback Types. The specific Timeframes on which the different Lookback Types are plotted are edge-inclusive. In case of an overlap, the higher Timeframe Lookback will be prioritized.
Finally the User is able to filter and remove Standard Deviations in two ways:
"Remove Once Invalidated" will automatically delete a Deviation once its outer anchor extreme is traded through.
Manual Toggles will allow to remove the Upward or Downward Deviation of each Time Window at the discretion of the User.

Double RSI 00 1.0This script creates a custom indicator, visualizes two RSI values (RSI1 and RSI2) on the chart and generates alerts based on different RSI-related conditions, which can be used for technical analysis and trading strategies. Users can customize the RSI parameters and alert levels according to their preferences.
It includes several input parameters that allow the user to customize the RSI calculations and overbought/oversold levels. These parameters include:
length_1: RSI1 Length (default: 7)
length_2: RSI2 Length (default: 12)
overbought_1: Overbought Signal level for RSI1 (default: 75)

Ehlers SuperSmootherJohn F. Ehlers has provided the SuperSmoother filter in several of his works, including his book "Cyclical Analytics for Traders", Chapter 3.
The SuperSmoother filter is utilized whenever one might typically apply a moving average of any kind. The outcome is that the output signal from the SuperSmoother filter displays significantly less lag compared to an equivalent amount of smoothing from a moving average. The lag difference between a moving average and the SuperSmoother filter becomes even more pronounced when critical periods are extended.
Market data contains noise, and the purpose of smoothing filters is to mitigate this noise. In fact, there are various types of noise inherent in market data. One type of noise is systemic, originating from random trading activities. Another type is aliasing noise, which arises due to the use of discrete data. Aliasing noise dominates the data when considering shorter cycle durations.
It's tempting to perceive market data as a continuous wave, but that's a misconception. Taking the closing price as representative of a bar provides just a single data point. Whether you opt for the midpoint between the high and low instead of the closing price, you're still limited to one sample per bar. Given the discrete nature of this data, certain spectral implications must be considered. For instance, the shortest feasible analysis period (without aliasing) is a two-bar cycle. This is referred to as the Nyquist frequency, at 0.5 cycles per sample.
An ideally sampled two-beat sinusoidal cycle becomes rectified when discretized. However, peak sampling for the cycle isn't always guaranteed, and interference between the sampling rate and the data frequency results in aliasing noise. This noise decreases as the data period lengthens. For example, a four-beat cycle implies four samples per cycle. With more samples, the sampled data provides a better representation of the sinusoidal component. The replica becomes even more accurate for an eight-bar data component. The increased precision of discrete data signifies that aliasing noise decreases as cycle durations expand.
A smoothing filter should possess the selectivity to reduce the aliasing noise below systemic noise levels. Given that aliasing noise increases by 6 dB per octave above the filter's selected cutoff frequency and the SuperSmoother's attenuation rate is 12 dB per octave, the SuperSmoother filter emerges as an effective tool to virtually eliminate aliasing noise in its output signal.
There are already several SuperSmoother indicators on Tradingview, but I like to structure the code and highlight the main components as functions rather than hiding them in the code. I hope this is useful for those who are starting to learn Pine Script.
Weighted Oscillator Convergence DivergenceThe Weighted Oscillator Convergence Divergence (WOCD) aims to help traders identify potential trend reversals or momentum shifts in financial markets by calculating and visualizing the difference between a smoothed oscillator (WMA) value and its exponential moving average (EMA) and simple moving average (SMA) counterparts. This indicator is particularly useful for traders who want an alternative perspective on price momentum and divergence.
Key Features:
Inputs:
Length: The user can specify the number of bars to consider for calculations (default is 9).
Smoothing 1: Defines the smoothing factor for the first smoothed value (default is 5).
Smoothing 2: Specifies the smoothing factor for the second smoothed value (default is 7).
Ma Type: There are three types of moving averages you can choose (Wilder, non-lag, Weighted is by default).
Color Settings: Users can customize the indicator's colors for various elements, such as length, smoothing values, and different sections of the histogram.
Calculation:
WOCD calculates the raw oscillator value by subtracting the close price from a 3-period High, Low, Close (HLC3) moving average.
It then applies smoothing to this raw oscillator value using two different methods: exponential moving average (EMA) and simple moving average (SMA) with user-defined smoothing periods.
Histogram Plot:
The indicator plots a histogram based on the difference between the smoothed oscillator and the first smoothed value.
When the histogram is above zero and rising, it is colored according to the "Above Grow" color setting. When it's above zero and falling, it uses the "Fall" color for visualization.
Similarly, when the histogram is below zero and rising, it is colored according to the "Below Grow" color setting, and when it's below zero and falling, it uses the "Fall" color.
Oscillator and Smoothed Values:
The indicator also plots the smoothed oscillator, smoothed value 1 (EMA-based), and smoothed value 2 (SMA-based) on the chart.
Zero Line:
A horizontal line at zero is drawn on the chart for reference.
How to Use the WOCD Indicator:
Trend Identification: Observe the histogram's direction and color. A rising histogram above zero may indicate bullish momentum, while a falling histogram below zero could signal bearish momentum.
Divergence: Look for divergences between price action and the histogram. When the histogram and price move in opposite directions, it can be a potential reversal signal.
Crossovers: Pay attention to crossovers between the smoothed oscillator and its smoothed counterparts (EMA and SMA). These crossovers can indicate changes in trend strength or direction.
Zero Line: The zero line can act as a reference point. Positive histogram values suggest bullish sentiment, while negative values indicate bearish sentiment.
Comparison to MACD Indicator:
The WOCD indicator shares some similarities with the Moving Average Convergence Divergence (MACD) indicator but also has distinct differences:

Both WOCD and MACD are momentum oscillators designed to identify potential trend reversals and divergences.
They use moving averages (EMA in the case of MACD) to smooth the raw oscillator values.
Both indicators provide histogram representations of the difference between the oscillator and its smoothed counterpart.

WOCD uses a 3-period High, Low, Close (HLC3) moving average to calculate the raw oscillator value, whereas MACD uses the difference between two exponential moving averages (usually 12-period and 26-period EMAs).
The smoothing in WOCD employs both EMA and SMA, while MACD exclusively uses EMA.
WOCD allows users to customize colors for various elements, enhancing visual clarity.
7 consecutive closes above/below the 5-periodThis script looks for 7 consecutive closes above/below the 5-period SMA. The indicator is inspired by legendary trader Linda Raschke's work.
First are the two models for which the indicator was created, both inspired by Raschke:
1) Persistency of trend / Extended run setup.
Around 10-12 times per year we get a persistency of trend in instruments in general.
After 7 consecutive closes above/below the 5-period as price pulls back we can look to enter in the direction of the main trend as it moves up/down above/below 5 ma again. You should use price action trading to pinpoint the entries. Now try to hold this as long as possible. Way longer than you can percieve or think is possible. Up to 24-28 periods is what we are looking for in these cases.
2) Normal usage.
When the trend is not persistent, it is possible to use this as an oscillating signal, for a shorter term trade, where we can look for a short or long term reversal setup in price action.
3) I also use it at as a learning to see the swing trades clearer. You can also use it as a visual aid for developing new variances of the classic swing trading setup.

Supertrend
Definition
Supertrend is a trend-following indicator based on Average True Range (ATR). The calculation of its single line combines trend detection and volatility. It can be used to detect changes in trend direction and to position stops.
The basics
The Supertrend is a trend-following indicator. It is overlaid on the main chart and their plots indicate the current trend. A Supertrend can be used with varying periods (daily, weekly, intraday etc.) and on varying instruments.
The Supertrend has several inputs that you can adjust to match your trading strategy. Adjusting these settings allows you to make the indicator more or less sensitive to price changes.
For the Supertrend inputs, you can adjust atrLength and multiplier:
the atrLength setting is the lookback length for the ATR calculation;
multiplier is what the ATR is multiplied by to offset the bands from price.
When the price falls below the indicator curve, it turns red and indicates a downtrend. Conversely, when the price rises above the curve, the indicator turns green and indicates an uptrend. After each close above or below Supertrend, a new trend appears.
Summary
The Supertrend helps you make the right trading decisions. However, there are times when it generates false signals. Therefore, it is best to use the right combination of several indicators. Like any other indicator, Supertrend works best when used with other indicators such as MACD, Parabolic SAR, or RSI.
Exponential Moving Average
Definition
The Exponential Moving Average (EMA) is a specific type of moving average that points towards the importance of the most recent data and information from the market. The Exponential Moving Average is just like it’s name says - it’s exponential, weighting the most recent prices more than the less recent prices. The EMA can be compared and contrasted with the simple moving average.
Similar to other moving averages, the EMA is a technical indicator that produces buy and sell signals based on data that shows evidence of divergence and crossovers from general and historical averages. Additionally, the EMA tries to amplify the importance that the most recent data points play in a calculation.
It is common to use more than one EMA length at once, to provide more in-depth and focused data. For example, by choosing 10-day and 200-day moving averages, a trader is able to determine more from the results in a long-term trade, than a trader who is only analyzing one EMA length.
It’s best to use the EMA when for trending markets, as it shows uptrends and downtrends when a market is strong and weak, respectively. An experienced trader will know to look both at the line the EMA projects, as well as the rate of change that comes from each bar as it moves to the next data point. Analyzing these points and data streams correctly will help the trader determine when they should buy, sell, or switch investments from bearish to bullish or vice versa.
Short-term averages, on the other hand, is a different story when analyzing Exponential Moving Average data. It is most common for traders to quote and utilize 12- and 26-day EMAs in the short-term. This is because they are used to create specific indicators. Look into Moving Average Convergence Divergence (MACD) for more information. Similarly, the 50- and 200-day moving averages are most common for analyzing long-term trends.
Moving averages can be very useful for traders using technical analysis for profit. It is important to identify and realize, however, their shortcomings, as all moving averages tend to suffer from recurring lag. It is difficult to modify the moving average to work in your favor at times, often having the preferred time to enter or exit the market pass before the moving average even shows changes in the trend or price movement for that matter.
All of this is true, however, the EMA strives to make this easier for traders. The EMA is unique because it places more emphasis on the most recent data. Therefore, price movement and trend reversals or changes are closely monitored, allowing for the EMA to react quicker than other moving averages.
Limitations
Although using the Exponential Moving Average has a lot of advantages when analyzing market trends, it is also uncertain whether or not the use of most recent data points truly affects technical and market analysis. In addition, the EMA relies on historical data as its basis for operating and because news, events, and other information can change rapidly the indicator can misinterpret this information by weighting the current prices higher than when the event actually occurred.
Summary
The Exponential Moving Average (EMA) is a moving average and technical indicator that reflects and projects the most recent data and information from the market to a trader and relies on a base of historical data. It is one of many different types of moving averages and has an easily calculable formula.
The added features to the indicator are made for training, it is advisable to use it with caution in tradings.

MACD (Moving Average Convergence/Divergence)
Definition
MACD is an extremely popular indicator used in technical analysis. MACD can be used to identify aspects of a security's overall trend. Most notably these aspects are momentum, as well as trend direction and duration. What makes MACD so informative is that it is actually the combination of two different types of indicators. First, MACD employs two Moving Averages of varying lengths (which are lagging indicators) to identify trend direction and duration. Then, MACD takes the difference in values between those two Moving Averages (MACD Line) and an EMA of those Moving Averages (Signal Line) and plots that difference between the two lines as a histogram which oscillates above and below a center Zero Line. The histogram is used as a good indication of a security's momentum.
MACD Line is a result of taking a longer term EMA and subtracting it from a shorter term EMA.The most commonly used values are 26 days for the longer term EMA and 12 days for the shorter term EMA, but it is the trader's choice.
The Signal Line.
The Signal Line is an EMA of the MACD Line described in Component 1. The trader can choose what period length EMA to use for the Signal Line however 9 is the most common.
The MACD Histogram.
As time advances, the difference between the MACD Line and Signal Line will continually differ. The MACD histogram takes that difference and plots it into an easily readable histogram. The difference between the two lines oscillates around a Zero Line.
A general interpretation of MACD is that when MACD is positive and the histogram value is increasing, then upside momentum is increasing. When MACD is negative and the histogram value is decreasing, then downside momentum is increasing.
What to look for
The MACD indicator is typically good for identifying three types of basic signals; Signal Line Crossovers, Zero Line Crossovers, and Divergence.
SIGNAL LINE CROSSOVERS
A Signal Line Crossover is the most common signal produced by the MACD. First one must consider that the Signal Line is essentially an indicator of an indicator. The Signal Line is calculating the Moving Average of the MACD Line. Therefore the Signal Line lags behind the MACD line. That being said, on the occasions where the MACD Line crosses above or below the Signal Line, that can signify a potentially strong move.
The strength of the move is what determines the duration of Signal Line Crossover. Understanding and being able to analyze move strength, as well as being able to recognize false signals, is a skill that comes with experience.
The first type of Signal Line Crossover to examine is the Bullish Signal Line Crossover. Bullish Signal Line Crossovers occur when the MACD Line crosses above the Signal Line.
The second type of Signal Line Crossover to examine is the Bearish Signal Line Crossover. Bearish Signal Line Crossovers occur when the MACD Line crosses below the Signal Line.
Zero line crossovers
Zero Line Crossovers have a very similar premise to Signal Line Crossovers. Instead of crossing the Signal Line, Zero Line Crossovers occur when the MACD Line crossed the Zero Line and either becomes positive (above 0) or negative (below 0).
The first type of Zero Line Crossover to examine is the Bullish Zero Line Crossover. Bullish Zero Line Crossovers occur when the MACD Line crosses above the Zero Line and go from negative to positive.
The second type of Zero Line Crossover to examine is the Bearish Zero Line Crossover. Bearish Zero Line Crossovers occur when the MACD Line crosses below the Zero Line and go from positive to negative.
Divergence
Divergence is another signal created by the MACD. Simply put, divergence is when the MACD and actual price are not in agreement.
For example, Bullish Divergence occurs when price records a lower low, but the MACD records a higher low. The movement of price can provide evidence of the current trend, however changes in momentum as evidenced by the MACD can sometimes precede a significant reversal.
Bearish Divergence is, of course, the opposite. Bearish Divergence occurs when price records a higher high while the MACD records a lower high.
Summary
What makes the MACD such a valuable tool for technical analysis is that it is almost like two indicators in one. It can help to identify not just trends, but it can measure momentum as well. It takes two separate lagging indicators and adds the aspect of momentum which is much more active or predictive That kind of versatility is why it has been and is used by trader's and analysts across the entire spectrum of finance.
Despite MACD's obvious attributes, just like with any indicator, the trader or analyst needs to exercise caution. There are just some things that MACD doesn't do well which may tempt a trader regardless. Most notably, traders may be tempted into using MACD as a way to find overbought or oversold conditions. This is not a good idea. Remember, MACD is not bound to a range, so what is considered to be highly positive or negative for one instrument may not translate well to a different instrument.
With sufficient time and experience, almost anybody who wants to analyze chart data should be able to make good use out of the MACD.
The added features to the indicator are made for training, it is advisable to use it with caution in tradings.
RSI + Divergences + Alerts [MisterMoTA]The indicator RSI + Divergences + Alerts by MisterMoTA is an RSI indicator that fills the RSI and RSI moving average with 4 different colors (growing up, falling up, falling down and rising down colors), users can customize colors from dashboard , also can be disabled the fill if the user want a standard RSI.
The dafault value of RSI is 14 and value of the moving average is 50 ( a dynamic 50 rsi line is better for trend identification than a standard 50 line) and users can change the values from indicator settings.
For detecting the divergences displayed in the indicator, I integrated in our script the default Divergences indicator from Tradingview, users can display, hide and change colors for regular and hidden divergences.
RSI indicator display also trend conditions for RSI and RSI MA, the RSI MA angle is calculated using ATR value, the slope of the RSI Noving Average can help to identify trend conditions too.

The strategy operates on a set of clearly defined rules, primarily focusing on the trend direction confirmed by the Dual-Supertrend and the momentum as indicated by the MACD histogram.

Multi-Timeframe Trend Detector [Alifer]Here is an easy-to-use and customizable multi-timeframe visual trend indicator.
The indicator combines Exponential Moving Averages (EMA), Moving Average Convergence Divergence (MACD), and Relative Strength Index (RSI) to determine the trend direction on various timeframes: 15 minutes (15M), 30 minutes (30M), 1 hour (1H), 4 hours (4H), 1 day (1D), and 1 week (1W).
EMA Trend : The script calculates two EMAs for each timeframe: a fast EMA and a slow EMA. If the fast EMA is greater than the slow EMA, the trend is considered Bullish; if the fast EMA is less than the slow EMA, the trend is considered Bearish.
MACD Trend : The script calculates the MACD line and the signal line for each timeframe. If the MACD line is above the signal line, the trend is considered Bullish; if the MACD line is below the signal line, the trend is considered Bearish.
RSI Trend : The script calculates the RSI for each timeframe. If the RSI value is above a specified Bullish level, the trend is considered Bullish; if the RSI value is below a specified Bearish level, the trend is considered Bearish. Dashboard Display :

DETAILED SCRIPT EXPLANATION
INPUTS:
theme : Allows selecting the color theme (options: "Dark" or "Light").
emaFastPeriod : The period for the fast EMA.
emaSlowPeriod : The period for the slow EMA.
macdFastLength : The fast length for MACD calculation.
macdSlowLength : The slow length for MACD calculation.
macdSignalLength : The signal length for MACD calculation.
rsiPeriod : The period for RSI calculation.
rsiBullishLevel : The level used to determine Bullish RSI condition, when RSI is above this value. It should always be higher than rsiBearishLevel.
rsiBearishLevel : The level used to determine Bearish RSI condition, when RSI is below this value. It should always be lower than rsiBullishLevel.
CALCULATIONS:
The script calculates EMAs on multiple timeframes (15-minute, 30-minute, 1-hour, 4-hour, daily, and weekly) using the request.security() function.
Similarly, the script calculates MACD values ( macdLine , signalLine ) on the same multiple timeframes using the request.security() function along with the ta.macd() function.
RSI values are also calculated for each timeframe using the request.security() function along with the ta.rsi() function.
The script then determines the EMA trends for each timeframe by comparing the fast and slow EMAs using simple boolean expressions.
Similarly, it determines the MACD trends for each timeframe by comparing the MACD line with the signal line.
Lastly, it determines the RSI trends for each timeframe by comparing the RSI values with the Bullish and Bearish RSI levels.
PLOTTING AND DASHBOARD:
Color codes are defined based on the EMA, MACD, and RSI trends for each timeframe. Green for Bullish, Red for Bearish.
A dashboard is created using the table.new() function, displaying the trend information for each timeframe with arrows representing Bullish or Bearish conditions.
The dashboard will appear in the top-right corner of the chart, showing the Bullish and Bearish trends for each timeframe (15M, 30M, 1H, 4H, 1D, and 1W) based on EMA, MACD, and RSI analysis. Green arrows represent Bullish trends, red arrows represent Bearish trends, and no arrows indicate Neutral conditions.

1 — EXPONENTIAL MOVING AVERAGE (EMA)
The Exponential Moving Average (EMA) is a type of moving average (MA) that places a greater weight and significance on the most recent data points.
The EMA is calculated by taking the average of the true range over a specified period. The true range is the greatest of the following:
The difference between the current high and the current low.
The difference between the previous close and the current high.
The difference between the previous close and the current low.
The EMA can be used by traders to produce buy and sell signals based on crossovers and divergences from the historical average. Traders often use several different EMA lengths, such as 10-day, 50-day, and 200-day moving averages.
The formula for calculating EMA is as follows:
Compute the Simple Moving Average (SMA).
Calculate the multiplier for weighting the EMA.
Calculate the current EMA using the following formula:
EMA = Closing price x multiplier + EMA (previous day) x (1-multiplier)
2 — MOVING AVERAGE CONVERGENCE DIVERGENCE (MACD)
The Moving Average Convergence Divergence (MACD) is a popular trend-following momentum indicator used in technical analysis. It helps traders identify changes in the strength, direction, momentum, and duration of a trend in a financial instrument's price.
The MACD is calculated by subtracting a longer-term Exponential Moving Average (EMA) from a shorter-term EMA. The most commonly used time periods for the MACD are 26 periods for the longer EMA and 12 periods for the shorter EMA. The difference between the two EMAs creates the main MACD line.
Additionally, a Signal Line (usually a 9-period EMA) is computed, representing a smoothed version of the MACD line. The RSI is calculated based on the average gain and average loss over a specified period, commonly 14 periods. The formula involves several steps:
Calculate the average gain over the specified period.
Calculate the average loss over the specified period.
Calculate the relative strength (RS) by dividing the average gain by the average loss.
Calculate the RSI using the following formula: RSI = 100 - (100 / (1 + RS))
The RSI oscillates between 0 and 100, where readings above 70 are considered overbought, suggesting that the price may have risen too far and could be due for a correction. Readings below 30 are considered oversold, suggesting that the price may have dropped too much and could be due for a rebound.
Traders often use the RSI to identify potential trend reversals.
