Stock market index
A stock market index is a statistical measure that reflects the performance of a specific group of stocks. Each index is typically designed to represent a particular market segment — for example, the largest companies, a specific industry, or a geographic region.
Investors use indices to:
- Track overall market trends (e.g., "Is the market going up or down?");
- Benchmark performance of portfolios or individual stocks;
- Gain diversified exposure to a group of stocks through index funds or ETFs.
To scan stocks by the stock market index, add the “Index” filter. The screener will display only the stocks that are currently included in the selected indices:

The filter depends on the selected market. If you change the market, the options in the Index filter will be adjusted according to the market criteria. If no filter options are available, it means that this market does not have corresponding indices.
