BTCUSD looks set to follow the equity markets lower?

The equity markets are about to get hammered, something I've been writing on. There was a decent surge in price last week in equities. They have faltered at higher levels approaching the all-time highs. BTC looks set to follow suit as it languishes at this higher level. I've used put options to take on the position so I'm good either way - as long as the market moves substantially. But, my preference was for a break above the 12K level. Let's see where today and tomorrow take us, but I'm thinking it will be lower.
