after reading the Callisto whitepaper I dont think the airdrop is a big thing, they only airdrop 1.5% of the total Callisto supply to ethereum classic holders.In the news you read that you get 1CLO for 1ETC, this is true but they didnt tell us that the total supply of CLO will be 6.5b CLO while ETC currently has only 0.1b ETC
so 0.1b of 6.5b CLO is airdropped.
