POTX SHORT SEE BELOW
On September 19, 2019 — exchange-traded fund (ETF) issuer Global X ETFs launched the Global X Cannabis ETF (NASDAQ: POTX).
This latest addition to the pot stock ETF universe tracks a largely Canadian portfolio of marijuana-related companies. Its top holdings include Toronto-listed growers like Canopy Growth Corp. (TSX: WEED) and Aphria (TSX: APHA), as well as pharmaceutical companies involved in the medical marijuana industry like GW Pharmaceuticals (NASDAQ: GWPH).
Although I don't have historical data for this particular ETF Cannabis Stock, I really don't need it. I already know that the Cannabis Canadian Stocks which impacts this particular ETF are all down, therefore I am most likely going to do a PUT Spread into December. An ETF is a good idea, however there are still way too many Cannabis Companies, until the unprofitable and mismanaged companies are weeded out I will remain bearish.
