Bacaan 2 minit

Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has partnered with Qualcomm to establish the 'TCS Innovation Lab' in Bengaluru, focusing on co-creation of smart, scalable, and sustainable Edge AI capabilities. This collaboration aims to support industries in adopting a software-driven approach for enhanced efficiency and resilience.

The co-innovation lab will facilitate the development of customized, cost-effective solutions deployable on intelligent devices in real-time, streamlining processes for large enterprises. Located within the IoT-focused Bringing Life to Things Network lab in Bengaluru, it is equipped with 5G private network infrastructure to support sectors requiring agile IoT solutions such as security, healthcare, smart infrastructure, and manufacturing.

The lab is designed to support rapid prototyping and large-scale implementation of Edge AI capabilities based on a Software Defined Everything (SDx) approach. TCS will leverage advanced Edge AI and SDx capabilities to enable global enterprises to build robust, adaptable systems. These solutions will find applications in medical devices, industrial process control, smart infrastructure, and advanced safety mechanisms.

V Rajanna, Business Group Head, Technology, Software and Services, TCS, stated that the lab will drive the development of next-generation solutions for diverse applications, including intelligent medical devices and advanced safety systems. Savi Soin, Sr. Vice President & President, Qualcomm India, noted that the collaboration marks an important step in bringing practical, real-time Edge AI solutions to rapidly evolving industries.

The collaboration builds on previous transformational projects between TCS and Qualcomm Technologies, including silicon solution design and IT support. Recently, TCS developed a real-time smart visual anomaly detection capability for material inspection for a large automotive manufacturer, achieving state-of-the-art visual detection with 90% real-time accuracy using a smart, inexpensive on-premise edge device from Qualcomm Technologies.

Regu Ayyaswamy, Global Head, IoT & Digital Engineering, TCS, emphasized that the engagement strengthens the long-standing relationship with Qualcomm Technologies and reinforces the vision of building an intelligent, connected future. TCS continues to develop solutions that support industries in staying agile.
