Glencore's Philippine copper smelter put into maintenance

Philippine Associated Smelting and Refining Corporation (PASAR), a Glencore GLEN managed company, has put its Leyte plant site into maintenance due to ongoing evaluation of the plant's operations and challenging market conditions.

The asset will be maintained in a state of readiness while the company monitors market conditions and considers future options, PASAR said in a statement on Monday.
