WHAT IT DOES
This indicator detects Suspension Blocks — a stricter, higher-conviction variant of the Fair Value Gap. While a standard FVG only requires a wick gap between three candles, a Suspension Block demands three additional conditions be met simultaneously:
When all three filters pass on top of the standard wick gap, a Suspension Block is confirmed. The resulting zone is substantially larger than a regular FVG — it spans from Candle 1's close to Candle 3's open, encompassing both volume imbalance gaps and the entire impulse candle body. This wider zone represents the full range of aggressive institutional displacement.
The indicator plots up to three visual layers for each Suspension Block:
An optional Equilibrium (EQ) Line can be drawn at the midpoint of the zone for price reaction reference.

Dynamic Extension System
Suspension Blocks don't just sit static on your chart. Each zone dynamically tracks the last candle that touched it and extends its right edge accordingly. As price revisits the zone, the box stretches forward — giving you a clear visual of which zones are still being actively tested versus those price has moved away from.
This applies independently to both normal and inversed zones, each with their own toggle, so you can control exactly how zones behave on your chart.

Inversion System (Lifeline)
Every Suspension Block gets one lifeline. When price would normally fill the zone, the indicator checks whether the opposing body close occurred within a configurable window after formation. If it did, the zone inverts instead of being filled.
How it works:
Inversed zones are drawn in distinct colors (orange for bullish inversions, purple for bearish inversions by default) so you can immediately distinguish them from standard zones. After the inversion window expires, zones fill normally with no lifeline available and can now be invalidated. You can turn off inversion detection if you want.
Examples of a bearish zone
Failing to inverse by a bullish close

Being inversed by a bullish close successfully

HOW IT WORKS
Detection
The indicator scans each three-candle formation in real time, applying all three filters (same direction, dual volume imbalances, plus wick gap). Only formations that pass every condition are plotted. Candle 2 acts as the impulse candle, and the zone is anchored to the close/open boundaries of Candles 1 and 3.
Multi-Asset Correlation
When enabled, the indicator checks whether correlated assets also form Suspension Blocks at the same bar. This confirms that institutional displacement is occurring across multiple instruments simultaneously, adding confluence. Correlation supports both automatic detection for major instruments and manual asset selection. Using the AssetCorrelationUtils Library
Correlation modes:
Fill Tracking
Each Suspension Block tracks how deeply price has retraced into the zone, independently on each correlated asset. Zones progress through three visual states:
Fill tracking supports both Wick mode (uses candle highs/lows) and Body mode (only counts candle closes that penetrate the boundary). Box opacity transitions automatically as zones change state.

CONCEPTS AND CREDITS
The Fair Value Gap, Volume Imbalance, and Smart Money concepts referenced in this indicator are credited to ICT (Inner Circle Trader). The Suspension Block concept layers additional institutional filters on top of the standard FVG to isolate the highest-conviction displacement zones, also credited to ICT. This indicator uses the AssetCorrelationUtils library by fstarcapital for auto asset detection.
DISCLAIMER
Multi-asset Suspension Block detection with correlation matching, dynamic zone extension, and an inversion lifeline system. Identifies high-conviction imbalances that go beyond a standard Fair Value Gap.
WHAT IT DOES
This indicator detects Suspension Blocks — a stricter, higher-conviction variant of the Fair Value Gap. While a standard FVG only requires a wick gap between three candles, a Suspension Block demands three additional conditions be met simultaneously:
- Same-Direction Candles: All three candles in the formation must close in the same direction (all bullish or all bearish). Mixed directions are rejected.
- Volume Imbalance C1 to C2: A strict price separation (gap) must exist between the close of Candle 1 and the open of Candle 2. No overlap allowed — the market must visibly "jump" between these candles.
- Volume Imbalance C2 to C3: The same strict separation must exist between the close of Candle 2 and the open of Candle 3. Both transitions must gap — not just one.
- Main Zone Box: The full Suspension Block from C1 close to C3 open
- Volume Imbalance Boxes: Two highlighted sub-boxes showing each individual price gap within the zone
- Regular FVG Box: (Optional) The standard wick-gap zone drawn inside for visual comparison — showing just how much larger the Suspension Zone is
An optional Equilibrium (EQ) Line can be drawn at the midpoint of the zone for price reaction reference.

- A bearish Suspension Block can be inversed by a bullish candle closing above the zone's top boundary — flipping it to an effectively bullish zone
- A bullish Suspension Block can be inversed by a bearish candle closing below the zone's bottom boundary — flipping it to an effectively bearish zone
- Only body closes trigger inversion — wicks crossing through the boundary do not count
- The candle must close in the opposing direction to the original zone
- Once inversed, fill tracking resets to 0% and operates in the new direction as if it were a fresh zone
- Each zone can only invert once — the lifeline is consumed
Inversed zones are drawn in distinct colors (orange for bullish inversions, purple for bearish inversions by default) so you can immediately distinguish them from standard zones. After the inversion window expires, zones fill normally with no lifeline available and can now be invalidated. You can turn off inversion detection if you want.

HOW IT WORKS
Detection

Only formations that pass every condition are plotted. Candle 2 acts as the impulse candle, and the zone is anchored to the close/open boundaries of Candles 1 and 3.
Multi-Asset Correlation
When enabled, the indicator checks whether correlated assets also form Suspension Blocks at the same bar. This confirms that institutional displacement is occurring across multiple instruments simultaneously, adding confluence. Correlation supports both automatic detection for major instruments and manual asset selection. Using the AssetCorrelationUtils Library
Correlation modes:
- Auto: Automatically detects correlated pairs for major forex, index, crypto, and commodity instruments. Choose Dyad (2 assets) or Triad (3 assets)
- Manual: Specify up to three custom assets with optional inversion for inverse correlations (e.g., DXY)
- Off: Disables correlation, runs standalone
Fill Tracking
Each Suspension Block tracks how deeply price has retraced into the zone, independently on each correlated asset. Zones progress through three visual states:
- Open: Fresh zone, unfilled — brightest opacity
- Mitigated: Partially filled beyond the configurable threshold (Default to 1%)
- Filled: Fully retraced — zone completed
Fill tracking supports both Wick mode (uses candle highs/lows) and Body mode (only counts candle closes that penetrate the boundary). Box opacity transitions automatically as zones change state.
HOW TO USE
- Add to chart: Suspension Blocks appear automatically. The main zone box, volume imbalance sub-boxes, and optional layers render as they form
- Set Correlation Mode: Use Auto for supported pairs or Manual for custom assets. Correlated matches add confluence to each zone
- Watch for inversions: Orange or purple zones indicate a lifeline was triggered — these are zones where smart money reversed the original displacement within a short period of time
- Monitor fill states: As price returns to a zone, opacity changes show you how much has been filled. Zones actively being tested extend forward dynamically
- Layer with other tools: Suspension Blocks at key levels (session opens, previous day high/low, weekly boundaries) carry significantly more weight
Recommended workflow:
- Use on 1-15 minute charts for intraday setups
- Suspension Blocks are rarer than standard FVGs — when one forms, pay attention
- Inversed zones often signal strong reversals — treat them as high-priority areas
- Toggle the Regular FVG overlay to visualize how much wider the Suspension Zone is versus a standard gap
