Overview / What it does
AG Pro Dynamic Channels Elite is an overlay indicator that maps market structure using automatically detected support and resistance channels derived from pivot highs and lows. It classifies structure into Major vs Minor and External vs Internal channel families, then draws the active set directly on the chart. Elite is designed for clean, readable output and deterministic alert semantics. It focuses on chart clarity and signal hygiene controls to reduce repeated triggers and micro-noise.

Unique Edge (Why this is not a mashup)
- System-designed structure engine: Channels are constructed from a consistent pivot-based workflow and grouped into structure families (Major/Minor, Internal/External) to represent different layers of market flow.
- Auto De-Clutter (optional): Overlapping lower-priority channels can be hidden to keep the chart readable; optionally, hidden channels can be prevented from producing alerts so visuals and notifications remain consistent.
- Channel Quality Score (0–100) + alert gating (optional): Channels can be scored using structural signals such as touch frequency, recency, age, width vs ATR, slope, and base-line integrity. Alerts can be gated by a minimum quality threshold.
- Deterministic alert hygiene controls: Confirm mode, trigger buffer, and cooldown reduce wick noise and repeated alerts.
Methodology (Conceptual)
Step 1: Pivot extraction. Detect pivot highs and lows using a configurable lookback window.
Step 2: Structure classification. Group pivots into Major/Minor and Internal/External families to represent primary structure vs corrections/pullbacks.
Step 3: Channel construction. Build channel boundaries from pivot-defined anchor points; optionally extend channels forward for projection.
Step 4: Display policy. Apply a theme-driven clean UI model for consistent, professional chart output.
Step 5: De-clutter pass (optional). If overlaps are detected under an ATR-based threshold, hide lower-priority channels to avoid visual clutter.
Step 6: Quality scoring (optional). Compute a 0–100 score per channel using interaction statistics and structural integrity signals.
Step 7: Alert layer. Apply confirm mode, buffer, cooldown, and optional minimum quality threshold before emitting events.
Signals & Alerts (Deterministic definitions)
Elite supports two event types per channel family: Breakout and Reaction. Each can be enabled or disabled per family (Major/Minor, Internal/External, Up/Down). Definitions use a BASE line concept (the channel boundary used for invalidation and rejection logic).
Breakout (channel invalidation)
Up channels: A bearish breakout is confirmed when candle CLOSE breaks below the BASE line.
Down channels: A bullish breakout is confirmed when candle CLOSE breaks above the BASE line.
Reaction (base rejection)
Up channels: Wick pierces below BASE, then CLOSE returns above BASE.
Down channels: Wick pierces above BASE, then CLOSE returns below BASE.
Alert hygiene controls
Message frequency: Once per bar or once per bar close (depending on your setup).
Confirm mode: Auto, Intrabar, or Close.
Trigger buffer: Off, ATR-based, or ticks-based (reduces micro-wick triggers).
Cooldown: suppress repeated alerts from the same channel family for N bars.
Key Inputs (8–12 settings)
- Pivot Lookback Period: Higher values reduce noise but increase confirmation lag.
- Max Scan Bars: Performance cap for scanning and channel computations.
- Theme: Clean UI presets for consistent chart readability.
- Extend (Projection): Forward extension policy for channels.
- Replace Previous: Replace older channels in the same family when a new one is confirmed.
- Auto De-Clutter (Hide Overlaps): Hide overlapping lower-priority channels.
- De-Clutter Affects Alerts: If ON, hidden channels do not fire alerts.
- Overlap Threshold (ATR): Higher threshold hides more overlaps (cleaner chart).
- Channel Quality Score: Enable score calculation and display behavior.
- Min Quality for Alerts: Only alert on channels above the chosen quality threshold.
- Confirm Mode: Intrabar vs close-only confirmation behavior.
- Buffer + Cooldown: Reduce alert noise and repeated triggers.
Limitations & Transparency
Pivot confirmation lag: Pivot-based logic requires confirmation; channels can appear with delay relative to the initiating swing.
Intrabar vs close behavior: Intrabar can be noisier; close-only is typically more conservative and reproducible.
De-clutter effects: With de-clutter enabled, some channels may be hidden; if De-Clutter Affects Alerts is ON, those hidden channels will not generate alerts.
Quality score is heuristic: The score is a structural quality metric, not a prediction and not a guarantee of outcome.
Performance caps: Max Scan Bars is a deliberate cap; increasing it can improve coverage but may reduce performance.
Data-feed differences: Different symbols, exchanges, or sessions can produce different pivots and structures.
