Dual SuperTrend w VIX Filter - Strategy [presentTrading]Hey everyone! Haven't been here for a long time. Been so busy again in the past 2 months. I recently started working on analyzing the combination of trend strategy and VIX, but didn't get outstanding results after a few tries. Sharing this tool with all of you in case you have better insights.
█ Introduction and How it is Different
The Dual SuperTrend with VIX Filter Strategy combines traditional trend following with market volatility analysis. Unlike conventional SuperTrend strategies that focus solely on price action, this experimental system incorporates VIX (Volatility Index) as an adaptive filter to create a more context-aware trading approach. By analyzing where current volatility stands relative to historical norms, the strategy adjusts to different market environments rather than applying uniform logic across all conditions.

█ Strategy, How it Works: Detailed Explanation
🔶 Dual SuperTrend Core
The strategy uses two SuperTrend indicators with different sensitivity settings:
- SuperTrend 1: Length = 13, Multiplier = 3.5
- SuperTrend 2: Length = 8, Multiplier = 5.0
The SuperTrend calculation follows this process:
1. ATR = Average of max(High-Low, |High-PreviousClose|, |Low-PreviousClose|) over 'length' periods
2. UpperBand = (High+Low)/2 - (Multiplier * ATR)
3. LowerBand = (High+Low)/2 + (Multiplier * ATR)
Trend direction is determined by:
- If Close > previous LowerBand, Trend = Bullish (1)
- If Close < previous UpperBand, Trend = Bearish (-1)
- Otherwise, Trend = previous Trend
🔶 VIX Analysis Framework
The core innovation lies in the VIX analysis system:
1. Statistical Analysis:
- VIX Mean = SMA(VIX, 252)
- VIX Standard Deviation = StdDev(VIX, 252)
- VIX Z-Score = (Current VIX - VIX Mean) / VIX StdDev
2. **Volatility Bands:
- Upper Band 1 = VIX Mean + (2 * VIX StdDev)
- Upper Band 2 = VIX Mean + (3 * VIX StdDev)
- Lower Band 1 = VIX Mean - (2 * VIX StdDev)
- Lower Band 2 = VIX Mean - (3 * VIX StdDev)
3. Volatility Regimes:
- "Very Low Volatility": VIX < Lower Band 1
- "Low Volatility": Lower Band 1 ≤ VIX < Mean
- "Normal Volatility": Mean ≤ VIX < Upper Band 1
- "High Volatility": Upper Band 1 ≤ VIX < Upper Band 2
- "Extreme Volatility": VIX ≥ Upper Band 2
4. VIX Trend Detection:
- VIX EMA = EMA(VIX, 10)
- VIX Rising = VIX > VIX EMA
- VIX Falling = VIX < VIX EMA
Local performance:
🔶 Entry Logic Integration
The strategy combines trend signals with volatility filtering:
Long Entry Condition:
- Both SuperTrend 1 AND SuperTrend 2 must be bullish (trend = 1)
- AND selected VIX filter condition must be satisfied
Short Entry Condition:
- Both SuperTrend 1 AND SuperTrend 2 must be bearish (trend = -1)
- AND selected VIX filter condition must be satisfied
Available VIX filter rules include:
- "Below Mean + SD": VIX < Lower Band 1
- "Below Mean": VIX < VIX Mean
- "Above Mean": VIX > VIX Mean
- "Above Mean + SD": VIX > Upper Band 1
- "Falling VIX": VIX < VIX EMA
- "Rising VIX": VIX > VIX EMA
- "Any": No VIX filtering
█ Trade Direction
The strategy allows testing in three modes:
1. **Long Only:** Test volatility effects on uptrends only
2. **Short Only:** Examine volatility's impact on downtrends only
3. **Both (Default):** Compare how volatility affects both trend directions
This enables comparative analysis of how volatility regimes impact bullish versus bearish markets differently.
█ Usage
Use this strategy as an experimental framework:
1. Form a hypothesis about how volatility affects trend reliability
2. Configure VIX filters to test your specific hypothesis
3. Analyze performance across different volatility regimes
4. Compare results between uptrends and downtrends
5. Refine your volatility filtering approach based on results
6. Share your findings with the trading community
This framework allows you to investigate questions like:
- Are uptrends more reliable during rising or falling volatility?
- Do downtrends perform better when volatility is above or below its historical average?
- Should different volatility filters be applied to long vs. short positions?
█ Default Settings
The default settings serve as a starting point for exploration:
SuperTrend Parameters:
- SuperTrend 1 (Length=13, Multiplier=3.5): More responsive to trend changes
- SuperTrend 2 (Length=8, Multiplier=5.0): More selective filter requiring stronger trends
VIX Analysis Settings:
- Lookback Period = 252: Establishes a full market cycle for volatility context
- Standard Deviation Bands = 2 and 3 SD: Creates statistically significant regime boundaries
- VIX Trend Period = 10: Balances responsiveness with noise reduction
Default VIX Filter Selection:
- Long Entry: "Above Mean" - Tests if uptrends perform better during above-average volatility
- Short Entry: "Rising VIX" - Tests if downtrends accelerate when volatility is increasing

Dynamic Score Supertrend [QuantAlgo]Dynamic Score Supertrend 📈🚀
The Dynamic Score Supertrend by QuantAlgo introduces a sophisticated trend-following tool that combines the well-known Supertrend indicator with an innovative dynamic trend scoring technique . By tracking market momentum through a scoring system that evaluates price behavior over a customizable window, this indicator adapts to changing market conditions. The result is a clearer, more adaptive tool that helps traders and investors detect and capitalize on trend shifts with greater precision.
💫 Conceptual Foundation and Innovation
At the core of the Dynamic Score Supertrend is the dynamic trend score system , which measures price movements relative to the Supertrend’s upper and lower bands. This scoring technique adds a layer of trend validation, assessing the strength of price trends over time. Unlike traditional Supertrend indicators that rely solely on ATR calculations, this system incorporates a scoring mechanism that provides more insight into trend direction, allowing traders and investors to navigate both trending and choppy markets with greater confidence.
✨ Technical Composition and Calculation
The Dynamic Score Supertrend utilizes the Average True Range (ATR) to calculate the upper and lower Supertrend bands. The dynamic trend scoring technique then compares the price to these bands over a customizable window, generating a trend score that reflects the current market direction.
When the score exceeds the uptrend or downtrend thresholds, it signals a possible shift in market direction. By adjusting the ATR settings and window length, the indicator becomes more adaptable to different market conditions, from steady trends to periods of higher volatility. This customization allows users to refine the Supertrend’s sensitivity and responsiveness based on their trading or investing style.
📈 Features and Practical Applications
Customizable ATR Settings: Adjust the ATR length and multiplier to control the sensitivity of the Supertrend bands. This allows the indicator to smooth out noise or react more quickly to price shifts, depending on market conditions.
Window Length for Dynamic Scoring: Modify the window length to adjust how many data points the scoring system considers, allowing you to tailor the indicator’s responsiveness to short-term or long-term trends.
Uptrend/Downtrend Thresholds: Set thresholds for identifying trend signals. Increase these thresholds for more reliable signals in choppy markets, or lower them for more aggressive entry points in trending markets.
Bar and Background Coloring: Visual cues such as bar coloring and background fills highlight the direction of the current trend, making it easier to spot potential reversals and trend shifts.
Trend Confirmation: The dynamic trend score system provides a clearer confirmation of trend strength, helping you identify strong, sustained movements while filtering out false signals.
⚡️ How to Use
✅ Add the Indicator: Add the Dynamic Score Supertrend to your favourites, then apply it to your chart. Adjust the ATR length, multiplier, and dynamic score settings to suit your trading or investing strategy.
👀 Monitor Trend Shifts: Track price movements relative to the Supertrend bands and use the dynamic trend score to confirm the strength of a trend. Bar and background colors make it easy to visualize key trend shifts.
🔔 Set Alerts: Configure alerts when the dynamic trend score crosses key thresholds, so you can act on significant trend changes without constantly monitoring the charts.

TSI w SuperTrend decision - Strategy [presentTrading]This strategy aims to improve upon the performance of Traidngview's newly published "Trend Strength Index" indicator by incorporating the SuperTrend for better trade execution and risk management. Enjoy :)
█ Introduction and How it is Different
The "TSI with SuperTrend Decision - Strategy" combines the Trend Strength Index (TSI) with SuperTrend indicators to determine entry and exit points. Unlike traditional strategies that rely solely on one indicator, this method leverages the strengths of both TSI and SuperTrend to provide a more nuanced and adaptive trading strategy.
This dual approach allows for capturing trends more effectively, especially in volatile markets.
BTCUSD 8h LS Performance
█ Strategy, How it Works: Detailed Explanation
🔶 Trend Strength Index (TSI)
The TSI is a momentum oscillator that shows both the direction and strength of a trend. It is calculated by comparing the price movement with the bar index over a specified period. The formula for TSI is as follows:
```
TSI = (PC / |PC|)
where:
PC = Change in price over the period
```
In this strategy, TSI is calculated using the closing prices and a default period of 64 bars. The TSI values help identify overbought and oversold conditions, providing signals for potential market reversals.
🔶 SuperTrend Indicator
The SuperTrend is a trend-following indicator based on the average true range (ATR). It helps in identifying the direction of the market trend. The SuperTrend calculation involves:
```
SuperTrend = HLC3 ± (Factor * ATR)
where:
HLC3 = (High + Low + Close) / 3
Factor = User-defined multiplier
ATR = Average True Range over a period
```
The SuperTrend settings in this strategy include a length of 10 bars and a factor of 3.0.
Last Bull Cycle of BTC
🔶 Entry and Exit Conditions
The strategy uses the TSI and SuperTrend together to determine entry and exit points:
- Long Entry: When the SuperTrend indicates a downward trend (st.d < 0) and the TSI is above the oversold level (-0.241).
- Long Exit: When the SuperTrend indicates an upward trend (st.d > 0) and the TSI is below the overbought level (0.241).
- Short Entry: When the SuperTrend indicates an upward trend (st.d > 0) and the TSI is below the overbought level (0.241).
- Short Exit: When the SuperTrend indicates a downward trend (st.d < 0) and the TSI is above the oversold level (-0.241).
█ Trade Direction
The strategy allows users to select the trade direction through the `tradeDirection` input. The options are:
- Both: Enables both long and short trades.
- Long: Enables only long trades.
- Short: Enables only short trades.
█ Default Settings
- TSI Length: 64
- SuperTrend Length: 10
- SuperTrend Factor: 3.0
- Trade Direction: Both
- Take Profit (%): 30.0
- Stop Loss (%): 20.0
Impact of Default Settings
- TSI Length: A longer TSI period smooths out noise but may lag in identifying trends. A shorter period is more responsive but can generate false signals.
- SuperTrend Length: A shorter length provides quicker signals but can be prone to whipsaws. A longer length is more reliable but may delay entries and exits.
- SuperTrend Factor: A higher factor increases the distance of the SuperTrend from the price, reducing sensitivity to minor price fluctuations.
- Trade Direction: Allows flexibility in trading strategies by enabling both long and short trades based on market conditions.
- Take Profit and Stop Loss: These settings manage risk by automatically closing trades at predefined profit or loss levels. Higher percentages provide larger potential gains but also higher risk.

[EmreKb] Dynamic Factor SupertrendThe Dynamic Factor Supertrend is an innovative variation of the classic Supertrend indicator, designed to provide traders with more accurate trend signals while reducing the impact of false breakouts. Unlike the traditional Supertrend, which relies on a fixed multiplier (Factor) applied to the Average True Range (ATR), this enhanced version introduces a dynamic adjustment mechanism based on price movements relative to the Supertrend line.
This indicator works by assessing the distance between the price and the Supertrend line. When the price moves significantly beyond the typical ATR × Factor distance, the remaining gap is recalculated using a Dynamic Factor. This additional scaling adjusts the base factor, effectively modifying the Supertrend line to better reflect current market conditions. This process ensures that the trend line adapts dynamically to changes in price behavior, reducing noise and improving signal reliability in volatile markets.
One of the key advantages of the Dynamic Factor Supertrend is its ability to minimize false trend reversals. By incorporating the Dynamic Factor adjustment, the indicator becomes more resilient to minor price fluctuations that could otherwise trigger incorrect signals. This makes it particularly effective in markets where volatility is high, or during periods of choppy price action, where traditional Supertrend indicators often struggle to maintain accuracy.
Traders can use the Dynamic Factor Supertrend to identify clear trend directions, with uptrends signaled when the price is above the trend line and downtrends when it is below. The Dynamic Factor parameter can be fine-tuned to match individual trading styles, offering greater flexibility. A lower value makes the trend line more responsive to price changes, while a higher value provides more stability by reducing the frequency of adjustments.
In summary, the Dynamic Factor Supertrend is an advanced trend-following tool that combines the foundational concepts of the Supertrend with a novel dynamic adjustment mechanism. It offers traders a more reliable way to navigate complex market conditions, making it a valuable addition to any trading strategy. This indicator is particularly well-suited for those seeking to reduce false signals and enhance the accuracy of their trend analysis in all market environments.
Machine Learning Adaptive SuperTrend [AlgoAlpha]📈🤖 Machine Learning Adaptive SuperTrend - Take Your Trading to the Next Level! 🚀✨
Introducing the Machine Learning Adaptive SuperTrend , an advanced trading indicator designed to adapt to market volatility dynamically using machine learning techniques. This indicator employs k-means clustering to categorize market volatility into high, medium, and low levels, enhancing the traditional SuperTrend strategy. Perfect for traders who want an edge in identifying trend shifts and market conditions.
What is K-Means Clustering and How It Works
K-means clustering is a machine learning algorithm that partitions data into distinct groups based on similarity. In this indicator, the algorithm analyzes ATR (Average True Range) values to classify volatility into three clusters: high, medium, and low. The algorithm iterates to optimize the centroids of these clusters, ensuring accurate volatility classification.

Double SupertrendThis strategy is based on a custom indicator that was created based on the Supertrend indicator. At its core, there are always 2 super trend indicators with different factors to reduce market noise (false signals).
The strategy/indicator has some parameters to improve the signals and filters.
TECHNICAL ANALYSIS
☑ Show Indicators
This option will enable/disable the Supertrend indicators on the chart.
☑ Length
The length will be used on the Supertrend Indicator to calculate its values.
☑ Dev Fast
The fast deviation or factor from one of the super trend indicators. This will be the leading indicator for entry signals, as well as for the exit signals.
☑ Dev Slow
The slow deviation or factor from one of the super trend indicators. This will be the confirmation indicator for entry and exit signals.
☑ Exit Type
It's possible to select from 4 options for the exit signals. Exit signals always take profit target.
☑ ⥹ Reversals
This option will make the strategy/indicator calculate the exit signals based on the difference between the given period's highest and lowest candle value (see Period on this list). It's displayed on the chart with the cross. As it's possible to verify in the image below, there are multiple exit spots for every entry.
☑ ⥹ ATR
Using ATR as a base indicator for exit signals will make the strategy/indicator place limit/stop orders. Candle High + ATR for longs, Candle Low - ATR for shorts. The strategy will show the ATR level for take profit and stick with it until the next signal. This way, the take profit value remains based on the candle of the entry signal.
☑ ⥹ Fast Supertrend
With this option selected, the exit signals will be based on the Fast Supertsignal value, mirrored to make a profit.
☑ ⥹ Slow Supertrend
With this option selected, the exit signals will be based on the Slow Supertsignal value, which is mirrored to take profit.
☑ Period
This will represent the number of candles used on the exit signals when Reversals is selected as Exit Type. It's also used to calculate the gradient used on the Fills and Supertrend signals.
☑ Multiplier
It's used on the take profit when the ATR option is selected on the Exit Type.
STRATEGY
☑ Use The Strategy
This will enable/disable the strategy to show the trades calculations.
☑ Show Use Long/Short Entries
Option to make the strategy show/use Long or Short signals. Available only if Use The Strategy is enabled
☑ Show Use Exit Long/Short
Option to make the strategy show/use Exit Long or Short signals (valid when Reversals option is selected on the Exit Type). Available only if Use The Strategy is enabled
☑ Show Use Add Long/Short
Option to make the strategy show/use Add Long or Short signals. With this option enabled, the strategy will place multiple trades in the same direction, almost the same concept as a pyramiding parameter. It's based on the Fast Supersignal when the candle fails to cross and reverses. Available only if Use The Strategy is enabled
☑ Trades Date Start/End
The date range that the strategy will check the market data and make the trades
HOW TO USE
It's very straightforward. A long signal will appear as a green arrow with a text Long below it. A short signal will appear as a red arrow with a text Short above it. It's ideal to wait for the candle to finish to validate the signal.
The exit signals are optional but give a good idea of the configuration used when backtesting. Each market and timeframe will have its own configuration for the best results. On average, sticking to ATR as an exit signal will have less risk than the other options.
☑ Entry Signals
Follow the arrows with Long/Short texts on them. Wait for the signal candle to close to validate the entry.
☑ Exit Signals
Use them to close your position or to trail stop your orders and maximize profits. Select the exit type suitable for each timeframe and market
☑ Add Entries
It's possible to increase the position following the add margin/contracts based on the Add signals. Not mandatory, but may work as reentries or late entries using the same signal.
☑ What about Stop Loss?
The stop-loss levels were not included as a separated signal because it's already in the chart. There are some possible ideas for the stop loss:
☑⥹ Candle High/Low (2nd recommend option)
When it's a Long signal from the entry signal candle, the stop loss can be the Low value of the same candle. Very tight stop loss in some cases, depending on the candle range
☑⥹ Local Top/Bottom
Selecting the local top/bottom as stop loss will give the strategy more room for false breakouts or reversals, keeping the trade open and minimizing noises. Increases the risk
☑⥹ Fast Supertrend (1st recommend option)
The fast supertrend can be used as stop-loss as well. making it a moving level and working close to trail stop management
☑⥹ Fixed Percentage
It's possible to use a fixed risk percentage for the trades, making the risk easier to control and project. Since the market volatility is not fixed, this may affect the accuracy of the trades
☑⥹ Based on the ATR (3rd recommend option)
When the exit type option ATR is selected, it will display the take profit level for that entry. Just mirror that value and put it as stop-loss, or multiply that amount by 1.5 to have more room for market noise.

[EmreKb] Supertrend FakeoutSupertrend Fakeout
This script is an enhanced version of the classic Supertrend indicator. It incorporates an additional feature that ensures trend reversals are more reliable by introducing a Fakeout Index Limit and a Fakeout ATR Mult. This helps avoid false trend changes that could occur due to short-term price fluctuations or market noise.
How It Works:
The Supertrend indicator uses Average True Range (ATR) and a multiplier to determine the direction of the trend. When the price is above the Supertrend line, it indicates an uptrend; when the price is below the Supertrend line, it signals a downtrend.
This version goes a step further by adding the following checks before confirming a trend reversal:
The script will monitor if the price moves "Fakeout ATR Mult" ATR away from the Supertrend line after a potential breach. This distance helps ensure that the trend change is significant and not just a minor fluctuation.
In addition, the script checks the price action for a specific number of bars, which is controlled by the Fakeout Index Limit. This limit determines how many bars the price must remain below (for a downtrend) or above (for an uptrend) the Supertrend line before the trend is officially reversed.
Supertrend EMA & KNNSupertrend EMA & KNN
The Supertrend EMA indicator cuts through the noise to deliver clear trend signals.
This tool is built using the good old Exponential Moving Averages (EMAs) with a novel of machine learning; KNN (K Nearest Neighbors) breakout detection method.
Key Features:
Effortless Trend Identification: Supertrend EMA simplifies trend analysis by automatically displaying a color-coded EMA. Green indicates an uptrend, red signifies a downtrend, and the absence of color suggests a potential range.
Dynamic Breakout Detection: Unlike traditional EMAs, Supertrend EMA incorporates a KNN-based approach to identify breakouts. This allows for faster color changes compared to standard EMAs, offering a more dynamic picture of the trend.
Customizable Parameters: Fine-tune the indicator to your trading style. Adjust the EMA length for trend smoothing, KNN lookback window for breakout sensitivity, and breakout threshold for filtering noise.
A Glimpse Under the Hood:
Dual EMA Power: The indicator utilizes two EMAs. A longer EMA (controlled by the "EMA Length" parameter) provides a smooth trend direction, while a shorter EMA (controlled by the "Short EMA Length" parameter) triggers color changes, aiming for faster response to breakouts.
KNN Breakout Detection: This innovative feature analyzes price action over a user-defined lookback period (controlled by the "KNN Lookback Length" parameter) to identify potential breakouts. If the price surpasses a user-defined threshold (controlled by the "Breakout Threshold" parameter) above the recent highs, a green color is triggered, signaling a potential uptrend. Conversely, a breakdown below the recent lows triggers a red color, indicating a potential downtrend.
Trading with Supertrend EMA:
Ride the Trend: When the indicator displays green, look for long (buy) opportunities, especially when confirmed by bullish price action patterns on lower timeframes. Conversely, red suggests potential shorting (sell) opportunities, again confirmed by bearish price action on lower timeframes.
Embrace Clarity: The color-coded EMA provides a clear visual representation of the trend, allowing you to focus on price action and refine your entry and exit strategies.
A Word of Caution:
While Supertrend EMA offers faster color changes than traditional EMAs, it's important to acknowledge a slight inherent lag. Breakout detection relies on historical data, and there may be a brief delay before the color reflects a new trend.
To achieve optimal results, consider:
Complementary Tools: Combine Supertrend EMA with other indicators or price action analysis for additional confirmation before entering trades.
Solid Risk Management: Always practice sound risk management strategies such as using stop-loss orders to limit potential losses.
Supertrend EMA is a powerful tool designed to simplify trend identification and enhance your trading experience. However, remember, no single indicator guarantees success. Use it with a comprehensive trading strategy and disciplined risk management for optimal results.
Disclaimer:
While the Supertrend EMA indicator can be a valuable tool for identifying potential trend changes, it's important to note that it's not infallible. Market conditions can be highly dynamic, and indicators may sometimes provide false signals. Therefore, it's crucial to use this indicator in conjunction with other technical analysis tools and sound risk management practices. Always conduct thorough research and consider consulting with a financial advisor before making any investment decisions.
Entropy-Based Adaptive SuperTrendOverview:
Introducing the Entropy-Based Adaptive SuperTrend – a groundbreaking trading indicator designed to adapt dynamically to market conditions using market entropy. This enhanced SuperTrend indicator adjusts its sensitivity according to the level of chaos (or order) in price movements, providing more stable signals during volatile periods and more responsive signals when the market becomes orderly.
Key Features:
Entropy-Adaptive Mechanism: By incorporating an entropy measure, this indicator estimates the degree of unpredictability in the market. During high entropy periods (more chaotic), signals are made less sensitive, while during low entropy periods, the indicator reacts more quickly to price changes.
Adaptive ATR Multiplier: Unlike traditional SuperTrend indicators that use a fixed ATR multiplier, this version calculates a dynamic ATR multiplier based on the entropy score, ensuring more flexibility and adaptability in setting stop levels.
Visual Clarity: The indicator is overlayed on the price chart with customizable visual elements. The bullish and bearish trends are color-coded for ease of use, and optional entry signals ("L" for long and "S" for short) are plotted to clearly mark potential entry opportunities.
Alerts for Key Opportunities : Never miss an opportunity with built-in alerts for buy and sell signals. Traders can easily configure these alerts to be notified instantly when market conditions trigger a new trend.
How It Works:
Entropy Calculation: The entropy of the price data is calculated over a user-defined period, giving an indication of the degree of randomness in the price movements. The result is then smoothed to reduce noise and create a meaningful trend indication.
Dynamic ATR Adjustment: The ATR (Average True Range) multiplier, which controls the distance of the trailing stop, is adjusted based on the entropy score. This allows the SuperTrend line to widen in chaotic times, reducing false signals, while tightening in orderly times, allowing quicker trend captures.
Parameters Explained:
Entropy Settings: Control the sensitivity of entropy calculations, including the look-back period, number of bins for price distribution, and smoothing length.
Adaptive Settings: Adjust how the indicator adapts to different levels of entropy, including the adaptation period and the filtering weight.
SuperTrend Settings : Customize the ATR period and the dynamic multiplier range to fine-tune the trailing stops for your trading style.
Visual Settings: Choose your preferred colors for bullish and bearish trends, and decide if you want the entry labels displayed directly on the chart.
Use Cases:
Swing Traders can utilize the indicator to capture trend reversals while filtering out the noise during high entropy periods.
Intraday Traders can adapt the settings for shorter time frames to benefit from dynamic adjustments that reduce overtrading and false signals.
Risk Management: The entropy-based adaptive feature provides an edge in risk management by reducing sensitivity during times of increased chaos, thus helping to limit unnecessary trades.
How to Use It:
Look for entry labels ("L" for long, "S" for short) to identify potential opportunities.
Use the color-coded trendlines to determine market bias: greenish hue for bullish trends, reddish hue for bearish trends.
Customize the input settings to align with your preferred market timeframe and risk profile.
Alerts & Notifications:
Built-in alerts notify you of significant trend changes. Simply enable these alerts to receive updates when a new long or short opportunity is detected, helping you stay ahead without needing to watch the screen constantly.
Customization Tips:
Longer Timeframes : Increase the Entropy Period to better capture macro trends in high timeframe charts.
Higher Volatility Markets: Increase the ATR Max Multiplier to ensure stops are set farther away during high entropy.
Lower Volatility Markets: Use a lower ATR Base Multiplier and tighter entropy thresholds to capture rapid price movements.
Final Thoughts:
The Entropy-Based Adaptive SuperTrend indicator merges traditional trend-following logic with an adaptive mechanism driven by market entropy, aiming to address the challenges of whipsaws and false signals common in conventional SuperTrend setups. This indicator offers an intelligent and flexible way to track market trends, suitable for both beginners and experienced trade

BankNifty 5min Supertrend Based StrategyBankNifty 5min Supertrend Based Strategy, Intraday.
Work Best at 5mint chart on BankNifty.
The strategy is designed to trade using the Supertrend indicator with session-based rules, and risk management. It allows for customization through input variables and aims to provide a clear visual representation of the Supertrend by changing the color .
The script also includes input variables for the trading session and date range, which allows the trader to specify the time period in which they want the strategy to run. The session variable specifies the start and end times of the trading session, which in this case is set to the Indian trading session from 9:15 am to 3:10 pm.
The strategy starts by defining input variables such as the session time, start and end date for the backtesting, the length of the ATR, and the Supertrend factor. It also includes options for delay at session start and stop loss points and trail percentage .
The code then checks if the current time is within the specified session and date range . If it is, the Supertrend and its direction are calculated using the defined input variables. The strategy then waits for N numbers of candles (defined by the User) to form at the start of every session i.e. 09:15 AM before entering a trade.
The entry and exit conditions for long and short trades are defined based on the change in the Supertrend direction and the number of candles formed at the session start i.e. 09:15 AM . After that, it takes entry and exit for long and short trades on the change in the Supertrend direction . Stop-loss and trailing stop-loss are also defined based on the input variables.
Stop-loss (Defined by the user) is fixed points either below or above the Entry Price for Long and Short entries.
The Supertrend plot is displayed with changing colors depending on the direction. Finally, the strategy closes all trades at the end of the session if there are any open trades.
Overall, this strategy aims to trade with the Supertrend indicator using session-based rules and risk management.
However, as with any trading strategy, it is important to thoroughly test it before using it in live trading .
Strategy Myth-Busting #12 - OSGFC+SuperTrend - [MYN]This is part of a new series we are calling "Strategy Myth-Busting" where we take open public manual trading strategies and automate them. The goal is to not only validate the authenticity of the claims but to provide an automated version for traders who wish to trade autonomously.
Our 12th one is an automated version of the "The Most Powerful Tradingview Buy Sell Signal Indicator " strategy from "Power of Trading" who doesn't make any official claims but watching how he trades with this, it on the surface looked promising. The strategy author uses this on the 15 min strategy on mostly FOREX. Unfortunately as indicated by the backtest results below, we were not able to substantiate any good positive trading metrics from this, be it Profit, Markdown, Num Of Trades etc. This does seem to do okay with some entries but perhaps adding another indicator to this to filter out more noise might make it better. At least how this strategy is presented now, this is not something I recommend anyone use.
This strategy uses a combination of 2 open-source public indicators:
SuperTrend by TradingView Internal
One-Sided Gaussian Filter w/ Channels By Loxx
The SuperTrend indicator and the One-Sided Gaussian Filter complement each other by providing a more complete and accurate picture of market trends. The SuperTrend indicator is used to identify trends. It does this by calculating a moving average of the underlying securities price and then comparing the current price to the moving average. When the current price is above the moving average, the trend is considered bullish, and when it is below, the trend is considered bearish.
The One-Sided Gaussian Filter is a mathematical tool that is used to smooth out fluctuations in financial data. It does this by removing random noise from the data, making it easier to identify patterns and trends.
When the SuperTrend indicator is used in conjunction with the One-Sided Gaussian Filter, the smoothed price data generated by the filter is used as the input for the SuperTrend calculation. This provides a more accurate representation of market trends and helps to eliminate false signals generated by short-term price movements. As a result, the SuperTrend indicator is able to more accurately identify the underlying trend in the market and provide traders with a cleaner and more reliable signal to act upon.
In summary, the SuperTrend indicator and the One-Sided Gaussian Filter complement each other by providing a more accurate and reliable representation of market trends, resulting in improved performance for traders.

Supertrend Hombrok BotSupertrend Hombrok Bot – Automated Trading Strategy for Dynamic Market Conditions
This trading strategy script has been developed to operate automatically based on detailed market conditions. It combines the popular Supertrend indicator, RSI (Relative Strength Index), Volume, and ATR (Average True Range) to determine the best entry and exit points while maintaining proper risk management.
Key Features:
Supertrend as the Base: Uses the Supertrend indicator to identify the market's trend direction, generating buy signals when the market is in an uptrend and sell signals when in a downtrend.
RSI Filter: The RSI is used to determine overbought and oversold conditions, helping to avoid entries in extreme market conditions. Entries are avoided when RSI > 70 (overbought) and RSI < 30 (oversold), reducing the risk of false movements.
Volume Filter: The strategy checks if the trading volume is above the average multiplied by a user-defined factor. This ensures that only significant movements, with higher liquidity, are considered.
Candle Body Size: The strategy filters only candles with a body large enough relative to the ATR (Average True Range), ensuring that the price movements on the chart have sufficient strength.
Risk Management: The bot is configured to operate with an adjustable Risk/Reward Ratio (R:R). This means that for each trade, both Take Profit (TP) and Stop Loss (SL) are adjusted based on the market's volatility as measured by the ATR.
Automatic Entries and Exits: The script automatically executes entries based on the specified conditions and exits with predefined Stop Loss and Take Profit levels, ensuring risk is controlled for each trade.
How It Works:
Buy Condition: Triggered when the market is in an uptrend (Supertrend), the volume is above the adjusted average, the candle body is strong enough, and the RSI is below the overbought level.
Sell Condition: Triggered when the market is in a downtrend (Supertrend), the volume is above the adjusted average, the candle body is strong enough, and the RSI is above the oversold level.
Alerts:
Buy and Sell Alerts are configured with detailed information, including Stop Loss and Take Profit values, allowing the user to receive notifications when trading conditions are met.
Capital Management:
The capital per trade can be adjusted based on account size and risk profile.
Important Note:
Always test before trading with real capital: While the strategy has been designed based on solid technical analysis methods, always perform tests in real-time market conditions with demo accounts before applying the bot in live trading.

Machine Learning SupertrendThe Machine Learning Supertrend is an advanced trend-following indicator that enhances the traditional Supertrend with Gaussian Process Regression (GPR) and kernel-based learning. Unlike conventional methods that rely purely on historical ATR values, this indicator integrates machine learning techniques to dynamically estimate volatility and forecast future price movements, resulting in a more adaptive and robust trend detection system.
At the core of this indicator lies Gaussian Process Regression (GPR), which utilizes a Radial Basis Function (RBF) kernel to model price distributions and anticipate future trends. Instead of simply looking at past price action, it constructs a kernel matrix, enabling a probabilistic approach to price forecasting. This allows the indicator to not only detect current trends but also project potential trend reversals with greater accuracy.
By applying machine learning to ATR estimation, the ML Supertrend dynamically adjusts its thresholds based on predicted values rather than a fixed multiplier. This makes the trend signals more responsive to market conditions, reducing false signals and minimizing whipsaws often seen with traditional Supertrend indicators. The upper and lower bands are no longer static but evolve based on the underlying price structure, improving the reliability of trend shifts.
When the price crosses these adaptive levels, the indicator detects a trend change and plots it accordingly. Green signifies a bullish trend, while red indicates a bearish one. Alerts can also be triggered when the trend shifts, allowing traders to react quickly to potential reversals.
What makes this approach powerful is its ability to adapt to different market conditions. Traditional ATR-based methods use fixed parameters that might not always be optimal, whereas this ML-driven Supertrend continuously refines its estimations based on real-time data. The result is a more intelligent, less lagging, and highly adaptive trend-following tool.
This indicator is particularly useful for traders looking to enhance trend-following strategies with AI-driven insights. It reduces noise, improves signal reliability, and even offers a degree of trend forecasting, making it ideal for those who want a more advanced and dynamic alternative to standard Supertrend indicators.

[blackcat] L2 Barbara Star Supertrend IndicatorLevel 2
Background
Barbara Star’s article on July 2023, “Stay On Track With The Supertrend Indicator”, I rewrote it as pine script for your information.
Function
A supertrend indicator is displayed either above or below the closing price to signal a buy or sell. The indicator changes color depending on whether you should buy or not. When the Supertrend indicator falls below the closing price, the indicator turns green, signaling one or more entry points to buy.
Author Barbara Star describes the Supertrend indicator and how it can be used as a means for traders to stay in sync with the larger trend. She explains how J. Welles Wilder's Average True Range (ATR) forms a basis for supertrend calculations. ATR does not measure price direction, but rather provides a measure of volatility over a period of time. The Supertrend indicator, on the other hand, provides a more comprehensive view of trend direction. In addition, the indicator provides price levels at which a trend reversal would occur.
Green color stands for up trend;
Red color stands for down trend.

Heikin Ashi SupertrendAbout this Strategy
This supertrend strategy uses the Heikin Ashi candles to generate the supertrend but enters and exits trades using normal candle close prices. If you use the standard built in Supertrend indicator on Heikin Ashi candles, it will produce very unrealistic backtesting results because it uses the Heikin Ashi prices instead of the real prices. However, by signaling the supertrend reversals using Heikin Ashi while using standard candle close prices for the entries and exits, it corrects the backtesting errors and gives you a more realistic equity curve. You should set the chart to use standard candles and then hide them (the strategy creates the candles).
This strategy includes:
Plotting of Heikin Ashi candles
Heikin Ashi Supertrend
Long and Short Entry Signals
Move stop loss after trade is X% in profit

Notes
While this strategy does pretty well during trending markets, It's worth noting that the Buy and Hold ROI is much better during peak times of the bull market

FDI-Adaptive Supertrend w/ Floating Levels [Loxx]FDI-Adaptive Supertrend w/ Floating Levels is a Fractal Dimension Index adaptive Supertrend indicator. This allows Supertrend to better adaptive to volatility of the market. This also includes floating levels that act as support and resistance, stop loss or take profit, or indication of market reversal. Additional signal types will be added in the future based on these floating levels.
What is the Fractal Dimension Index?
The goal of the fractal dimension index is to determine whether the market is trending or in a trading range. It does not measure the direction of the trend. A value less than 1.5 indicates that the price series is persistent or that the market is trending. Lower values of the FDI indicate a stronger trend. A value greater than 1.5 indicates that the market is in a trading range and is acting in a more random fashion.
What is the Supertrend?
Supertrend indicator was created by Olivier Seban to work on different time frames. It works for futures , forex, and equities. It is used in 15 minutes, hourly, weekly, and daily charts . Based on the parameters of multiplier and period, the indicator normally uses 3 for multiplier and 7 for the ATR period as default values. Average True Range is represented by the number of days while the multiplier is the value by which the range is multiplied.

DEMA Supertrend Bands [Misu]█ Indicator based on DEMA (Double Exponential Moving Average) & Supertrend to show Bands .
DEMA attempts to remove the inherent lag associated with Moving Averages by placing more weight on recent values.
Supertrend aims to detect price trends, it's also used to set protective stops.
█ Usages:
Combining Dema to calculate Supertrend results in nice lower and upper bands.
This can be used to identify potential supports and resistances and set protective stops.
█ Parameters:
Length DEMA: Double Ema lenght used to calculate DEMA. Dema is used by Supertrend indicator.
Length Atr: Atr lenght used to calculate Atr. Atr is used by Supertrend indicator.
Band Mult: Used to calculate Supertrend Bands width.
█ Other Applications:
The mid band can be used to filter bad signals in the manner of a more classical Moving Average.
