Elliott's Quadratic Momentum - Strategy [presentTrading]█ Introduction and How It Is Different
The "Elliott's Quadratic Momentum - Strategy" is a unique and innovative approach in the realm of technical trading. This strategy is a fusion of multiple SuperTrend indicators combined with an Elliott Wave-like pattern analysis, offering a comprehensive and dynamic trading tool. It stands apart from conventional strategies by incorporating multiple layers of trend analysis, thereby providing a more robust and nuanced view of market movements.
*Although the script doesn't explicitly analyze Elliott Wave patterns, it employs a wave-like approach by considering multiple SuperTrend indicators. Elliott Wave theory is based on the premise that markets move in predictable wave patterns. While this script doesn't identify specific Elliott Wave structures like impulsive and corrective waves, the sequential checking of trend conditions across multiple SuperTrend indicators mimics a wave-like progression.

█ Strategy, How It Works: Detailed Explanation
The core of this strategy lies in its multi-tiered approach:
1. Multiple SuperTrend Indicators:
The strategy employs four different SuperTrend indicators, each with unique ATR lengths and multipliers. These indicators offer various perspectives on market trends, ranging from short to long-term views.
By analyzing the convergence of these indicators, the strategy can pinpoint robust entry signals for both long and short positions.
2. Elliott Wave-like Pattern Recognition:
While not directly applying Elliott Wave theory, the strategy takes inspiration from its pattern recognition approach. It looks for alignments in market movements that resemble the characteristic waves of Elliott's theory.
This pattern recognition aids in confirming the signals provided by the SuperTrend indicators, adding an extra layer of validation to the trading signals.
3. Comprehensive Market Analysis:
By combining multiple indicators and pattern analysis, the strategy offers a holistic view of the market. This allows for capturing potential trend reversals and significant market moves early.
█ Trade Direction
The strategy is designed with flexibility in mind, allowing traders to select their preferred trading direction – Long, Short, or Both. This adaptability is key for traders looking to tailor their approach to different market conditions or personal trading styles. The strategy automatically adjusts its logic based on the chosen direction, ensuring that traders are always aligned with their strategic objectives.
█ Usage
To utilize the "Elliott's Quadratic Momentum - Strategy" effectively:
Traders should first determine their trading direction and adjust the SuperTrend settings according to their market analysis and risk appetite.

RMI Trend Sync - Strategy [presentTrading]█ Introduction and How It Is Different
The "RMI Trend Sync - Strategy " combines the strength of the Relative Momentum Index (RMI) with the dynamic nature of the Supertrend indicator. This strategy diverges from traditional methodologies by incorporating a dual analytical framework, leveraging both momentum and trend indicators to offer a more holistic market perspective. The integration of the RMI provides an enhanced understanding of market momentum, while the Super Trend indicator offers clear insights into the end of market trends, making this strategy particularly effective in diverse market conditions.
BTC 4h long/short performance
█ Strategy: How It Works - Detailed Explanation
- Understanding the Relative Momentum Index (RMI)
The Relative Momentum Index (RMI) is an adaptation of the traditional Relative Strength Index (RSI), designed to measure the momentum of price movements over a specified period. While RSI focuses on the speed and change of price movements, RMI incorporates the direction and magnitude of those movements, offering a more nuanced view of market momentum.
- Principle of RMI
Calculation Method: RMI is calculated by first determining the average gain and average loss over a given period (Length). It differs from RSI in that it uses the price change (close-to-close) rather than absolute gains or losses. The average gain is divided by the average loss, and this ratio is then normalized to fit within a 0-100 scale.
- Momentum Analysis in the Strategy
Thresholds for Decision Making: The strategy uses predetermined thresholds (pmom for positive momentum and nmom for negative momentum) to trigger trading decisions. When RMI crosses above the positive threshold and other conditions align (e.g., a bullish trend), it signals a potential long entry. Similarly, crossing below the negative threshold in a bearish trend may trigger a short entry.
- Super Trend and Trend Analysis
The Super Trend indicator is calculated based on a higher time frame, providing a broader view of the market trend. This indicator uses the Average True Range (ATR) to adapt to market volatility, making it an effective tool for identifying trend reversals.
The strategy employs a Volume Weighted Moving Average (VWMA) alongside the Super Trend, enhancing its capability to identify significant trend shifts.

2 Moving Averages | Trend FollowingThe trading system is a trend-following strategy based on two moving averages (MA) and Parabolic SAR (PSAR) indicators.
How it works:
The strategy uses two moving averages: a fast MA and a slow MA.
It checks for a bullish trend when the fast MA is above the slow MA and the current price is above the fast MA.
It checks for a bearish trend when the fast MA is below the slow MA and the current price is below the fast MA.
The Parabolic SAR (PSAR) indicator is used for additional trend confirmation.
Long and short positions can be turned on or off based on user input.
The strategy incorporates risk management with stop-loss orders based on the Average True Range (ATR).
Users can filter the backtest date range and display various indicators.
The strategy is designed to work with the date range filter, risk management, and user-defined positions.
Features:
Trend-following strategy.
Two customizable moving averages.
Parabolic SAR for trend confirmation.
User-defined risk management with stop-loss based on ATR.
Backtest date range filter.
Flexibility to enable or disable long and short positions.
This trading system provides a comprehensive approach to trend-following and risk management, making it suitable for traders looking to capture trends with controlled risk.
Machine Learning: SuperTrend Strategy TP/SL [YinYangAlgorithms]The SuperTrend is a very useful Indicator to display when trends have shifted based on the Average True Range (ATR). Its underlying ideology is to calculate the ATR using a fixed length and then multiply it by a factor to calculate the SuperTrend +/-. When the close crosses the SuperTrend it changes direction.
This Strategy features the Traditional SuperTrend Calculations with Machine Learning (ML) and Take Profit / Stop Loss applied to it. Using ML on the SuperTrend allows for the ability to sort data from previous SuperTrend calculations. We can filter the data so only previous SuperTrends that follow the same direction and are within the distance bounds of our k-Nearest Neighbour (KNN) will be added and then averaged. This average can either be achieved using a Mean or with an Exponential calculation which puts added weight on the initial source. Take Profits and Stop Losses are then added to the ML SuperTrend so it may capitalize on Momentum changes meanwhile remaining in the Trend during consolidation.
By applying Machine Learning logic and adding a Take Profit and Stop Loss to the Traditional SuperTrend, we may enhance its underlying calculations with potential to withhold the trend better. The main purpose of this Strategy is to minimize losses and false trend changes while maximizing gains. This may be achieved by quick reversals of trends where strategic small losses are taken before a large trend occurs with hopes of potentially occurring large gain. Due to this logic, the Win/Loss ratio of this Strategy may be quite poor as it may take many small marginal losses where there is consolidation. However, it may also take large gains and capitalize on strong momentum movements.
Tutorial:
In this example above, we can get an idea of what the default settings may achieve when there is momentum. It focuses on attempting to hit the Trailing Take Profit which moves in accord with the SuperTrend just with a multiplier added. When momentum occurs it helps push the SuperTrend within it, which on its own may act as a smaller Trailing Take Profit of its own accord.
We’ve highlighted some key points from the last example to better emphasize how it works. As you can see, the White Circle is where profit was taken from the ML SuperTrend simply from it attempting to switch to a Bullish (Buy) Trend. However, that was rejected almost immediately and we went back to our Bearish (Sell) Trend that ended up resulting in our Take Profit being hit (Yellow Circle). This Strategy aims to not only capitalize on the small profits from SuperTrend to SuperTrend but to also capitalize when the Momentum is so strong that the price moves X% away from the SuperTrend and is able to hit the Take Profit location. This Take Profit addition to this Strategy is crucial as momentum may change state shortly after such drastic price movements; and if we were to simply wait for it to come back to the SuperTrend, we may lose out on lots of potential profit.
If you refer to the Yellow Circle in this example, you’ll notice what was talked about in the Summary/Overview above. During periods of consolidation when there is little momentum and price movement and we don’t have any Stop Loss activated, you may see ‘Signal Flashing’. Signal Flashing is when there are Buy and Sell signals that keep switching back and forth. During this time you may be taking small losses. This is a normal part of this Strategy. When a signal has finally been confirmed by Momentum, is when this Strategy shines and may produce the profit you desire.
You may be wondering, what causes these jagged like patterns in the SuperTrend? It's due to the ML logic, and it may be a little confusing, but essentially what is happening is the Fast Moving SuperTrend and the Slow Moving SuperTrend are creating KNN Min and Max distances that are extreme due to (usually) parabolic movement. This causes fewer values to be added to and averaged within the ML and causes less smooth and more exponential drastic movements. This is completely normal, and one of the perks of using k-Nearest Neighbor for ML calculations. If you don’t know, the Min and Max Distance allowed is derived from the most recent(0 index of data array) to KNN Length. So only SuperTrend values that exhibit distances within these Min/Max will be allowed into the average.
Since the KNN ML logic can cause these exponential movements in the SuperTrend, they likewise affect its Take Profit. The Take Profit may benefit from this movement like displayed in the example above which helped it claim profit before then exhibiting upwards movement.
By default our Stop Loss Multiplier is kept quite low at 0.0000025. Keeping it low may help to reduce some Signal Flashing while not taking extra losses more so than not using it at all. However, if we increase it even more to say 0.005 like is shown in the example above. It can really help the trend keep momentum. Please note, although previous results don’t imply future results, at 0.0000025 Stop Loss we are currently exhibiting 69.27% profit while at 0.005 Stop Loss we are exhibiting 33.54% profit. This just goes to show that although there may be less Signal Flashing, it may not result in more profit.
We will conclude our Tutorial here. Hopefully this has given you some insight as to how Machine Learning, combined with Trailing Take Profit and Stop Loss may have positive effects on the SuperTrend when turned into a Strategy.
Settings:
SuperTrend:
ATR Length: ATR Length used to create the Original Supertrend.
Factor: Multiplier used to create the Original Supertrend.
Stop Loss Multiplier: 0 = Don't use Stop Loss. Stop loss can be useful for helping to prevent false signals but also may result in more loss when hit and less profit when switching trends.
Take Profit Multiplier: Take Profits can be useful within the Supertrend Strategy to stop the price reverting all the way to the Stop Loss once it's been profitable.
Machine Learning:
Only Factor Same Trend Direction: Very useful for ensuring that data used in KNN is not manipulated by different SuperTrend Directional data. Please note, it doesn't affect KNN Exponential.
Rationalized Source Type: Should we Rationalize only a specific source, All or None?
Machine Learning Type: Are we using a Simple ML Average, KNN Mean Average, KNN Exponential Average or None?
Machine Learning Smoothing Type: How should we smooth our Fast and Slow ML Datas to be used in our KNN Distance calculation? SMA, EMA or VWMA?
KNN Distance Type: We need to check if distance is within the KNN Min/Max distance, which distance checks are we using.
Machine Learning Length: How far back is our Machine Learning going to keep data for.
k-Nearest Neighbour (KNN) Length: How many k-Nearest Neighbours will we account for?
Fast ML Data Length: What is our Fast ML Length?? This is used with our Slow Length to create our KNN Distance.
Slow ML Data Length: What is our Slow ML Length?? This is used with our Fast Length to create our KNN Distance.

Pivot Point SuperTrend Strategy +TrendFilterIn the dynamic world of financial markets, traders are always on the lookout for innovative strategies to identify trends and make timely trades. The "Pivot Point SuperTrend strategy +TrendFilter" has emerged as an intriguing approach, combining two popular indicators - Pivot Points and SuperTrend, while introducing an additional trend filter for added precision. This strategy draws inspiration from Lonesome TheBlue's "Pivot Point SuperTrend" script, aiming to provide traders with a reliable tool for trend following while minimizing false signals.
The Core Concept:
The strategy's foundation lies in the fusion of Pivot Points and SuperTrend indicators, and the addition of a robust trend filter. It begins by calculating Pivot Highs and Lows over a specified period, serving as crucial reference points for trend analysis. Through a weighted average calculation, these Pivot Points create a center line, refining the overall indicator.
Next, based on the center line and the Average True Range (ATR) with a user-defined Factor, upper and lower bands are generated. These bands adapt to market volatility, adding flexibility to the strategy. The heart of the "Pivot Point SuperTrend" strategy lies in accurately identifying the prevailing trend, with the indicator smoothly transitioning between bullish and bearish signals as the price interacts with the SuperTrend bands.
The additional trend filter introduced into the strategy further enhances its capabilities. This filter is based on a moving average, providing a dynamic assessment of the trend's strength and direction. By combining this trend filter with the original Pivot Point SuperTrend signals, the strategy aims to make more informed and reliable trading decisions.
Advantages of "Pivot Point SuperTrend" with Trend Filter:
1. Enhanced Precision: The incorporation of a trend filter improves the strategy's accuracy by confirming the overall trend direction before generating signals.
2. Trend Continuation: The integration of Pivot Points and SuperTrend, along with the trend filter, aims to prolong trades during strong market trends, potentially maximizing profit opportunities.
3. Reduced Whipsaws: The strategy's weighted average calculation, coupled with the trend filter, helps minimize false signals and reduces whipsaws during uncertain or sideways market conditions.
4. Support and Resistance Insights: The strategy continues to provide additional support and resistance levels based on the Pivot Points, offering valuable contextual information to traders.

Strategy: How It Works
The TrendGuard Flag Finder is primarily built on two pillars:
1. Flag Pattern Detection : At its core, the strategy identifies flag patterns, which are continuation patterns suggesting that the prevailing trend will resume after a brief consolidation. The strategy meticulously detects both bullish and bearish flags, ensuring traders can capitalize on opportunities in both rising and falling markets.
What is a Flag Pattern? A flag pattern consists of two main components:
1.1 The Pole : This is the initial strong price move, which can be either upwards (for bullish flags) or downwards (for bearish flags). The pole represents a strong surge in price in a particular direction, driven by significant buying or selling momentum.
1.2 The Flag : Following the pole, the price starts consolidating, moving against the initial trend. This consolidation forms a rectangular shape and is characterized by parallel trendlines. In a bullish flag, the consolidation will have a slight downward tilt, while in a bearish flag, it will have a slight upward tilt.
How the Strategy Detects Flags:
Identifying the Pole: The strategy first identifies a strong price movement over a user-defined number of bars. This movement should meet a certain percentage change to qualify as a pole.
Spotting the Flag: After the pole is identified, the strategy looks for a consolidation phase. The consolidation should be counter to the prevailing trend and should be contained within parallel lines. The depth (for bullish flags) or rally (for bearish flags) of this consolidation is calculated to ensure it meets user-defined criteria.
2. SuperTrend Integration : The SuperTrend indicator, known for its simplicity and effectiveness, is integrated into the strategy. It provides a dynamic line on the chart, signaling the prevailing trend. When prices are above the SuperTrend line, it's an indication of an uptrend, and vice versa. This not only confirms the flag pattern's direction but also offers a potential stop-loss level for trades.
When combined, these components allow traders to identify potential breakout (for bullish flags) or breakdown (for bearish flags) scenarios, backed by the momentum indicated by the SuperTrend.
Usage
To use the SuperTrend Enhanced Flag Finder:
- Inputs : Begin by setting the desired parameters. The strategy offers a range of user-controlled settings, allowing for customization based on individual trading preferences and risk tolerance.
- Visualization : Once the parameters are set, the strategy will identify and visually represent flag patterns on the chart. Bullish flags are represented in green, while bearish flags are in red.
- Trade Execution : When a breakout or breakdown is identified, the strategy provides entry signals. It also offers exit signals based on the SuperTrend, ensuring that traders can capitalize on the momentum while managing risk.
Default Settings
The strategy comes with a set of default settings optimized for general use:
- SuperTrend Parameters: Length set to 10 and Factor set to 5.0.
- Bull Flag Criteria: Max Flag Depth at 7, Max Flag Length at 10 bars, Min Flag Length at 3 bars, Prior Uptrend Minimum at 9%, and Flag Pole Length between 7 to 13 bars.
- Bear Flag Criteria: Similar settings adjusted for bearish patterns.
- Display Options: By default, both bullish and bearish flags are displayed, with breakout and breakdown points highlighted.
Dynamic Trendline Break - Strategy [presentTrading]- Introduction and How It Is Different
The Dynamic Trendline Break Strategy is a unique trading algorithm that leverages the power of trendlines and swing detection to identify potential trading opportunities.
Unlike traditional trendline strategies that rely on static trendlines, this strategy dynamically calculates trendlines based on pivot highs and lows.
This dynamic approach allows the strategy to adapt to changing market conditions (especially 24hr markets like Crypto) and potentially identify trading opportunities that static trendlines might miss.

- Strategy, How It Works
The strategy works by first identifying pivot highs and lows using a lookback period defined by the user. These pivot points are then used to calculate the slope of the trendlines. The slope calculation method can be chosen from three options: Average True Range (ATR), Standard Deviation (Stdev), or Linear Regression (Linreg), providing flexibility to the trader.
Once the trendlines are calculated, the strategy identifies potential trading opportunities when the price crosses over the upper trendline (for long trades) or crosses under the lower trendline (for short trades). The strategy also allows the user to define the trade direction (Long, Short, or Both) and the stop loss method (Fixed or SuperTrend).
- Trade Direction
The trade direction parameter allows the user to define the direction of the trades that the strategy will take. If set to "Long", the strategy will only take long trades when the price crosses over the upper trendline. If set to "Short", the strategy will only take short trades when the price crosses under the lower trendline. If set to "Both", the strategy will take both long and short trades.
- Usage
To use this strategy, simply input your desired parameters for the swing detection lookback, slope, slope calculation method, trade direction, stop loss method, and stop loss level. Once these parameters are set, the strategy will automatically calculate the trendlines and identify potential trading opportunities based on the defined parameters.
- Default Settings
The default settings for the strategy are as follows:
Swing Detection Lookback: 30
Slope: 0.618
Slope Calculation Method: ATR
Trade Direction: Both
Stop Loss Method: SuperTrend
Stop Loss Level: 15%
SuperTrend Factor: 3
SuperTrend Lookback: 21
These settings can be adjusted to suit your trading style and risk tolerance. Always remember to backtest any changes to the settings before live trading.
Blockunity Divinetrend (BDT)A formidable trend-following indicator, based on an ATR combined with a trailing stop mechanism. Divinetrend’s aim is to offer a simple and efficient alternative to Supertrend, another highly reputed indicator of the same type. It comes with a trading strategy that can be activated in its parameters. You can also change a number of design parameters.
Divinetrend is pretty straightforward in its approach. It calculates a base moving average taking into account the asset’s volatility, multiplies it with an ATR, then displays a line representing a trailing stop. When a red line is broken, the asset is considered to be moving back into an uptrend. Inversely, when a green line is broken, a bearish signal is sent. In the parameters, you can also activate a trend contestation period. If this parameter is activated, the price must have been trending for at least 5 days for the trend change to be validated.
Usage Advice
We recommend that you do not use this indicator with a time unit of less than 2 hours. Ideally in 4 hours or daily, or even 3 days. Otherwise, there’s nothing special about the use of this indicator. We still recommend that you use your logarithmic chart for a better visualization, but this is optional.
This indicator was designed in particular for the crypto market, but it also works on traditional market assets.
The Different Signals
Divinetrend gives buy and sell signals based on trailing stop line breaks and trend orientation. In particular, it can be used for trend identification and following. If the Contested Trend option is activated in the settings, the indicator will also display a contested period in blue. In this case, it is necessary to wait 5 days for the trend to be validated.
Integrated Strategy
In addition, a trading strategy is integrated into the Divinetrend indicator. This can be activated in the parameters. This is mainly there to see the results and the relevance of the indicator in the TradingView Strategy Tester. We do not recommend using it alone. As this strategy is used to study the indicator's performance, we use the following default parameters: An initial capital of 2,000 USDT with 100% of equity in order size. In other words, we'll bet the entire portfolio on each trade. To do this, we use a default stop loss of 10%, to avoid risking heavy losses. We also use a commission of 0.01% and a slippage of 3 ticks to reflect more reality.
Volume-Weighted Supertrend Strategy [wbburgin]This is a script that can be used as a strategy or a standalone indicator.
The Volume-Weighted Supertrend is a supertrend based on a rolling VWAP, instead of a normal price source. The strategy has two components - a supertrend based off of this VWAP (shown on the chart) and a supertrend from volume itself (not plotted on the chart directly). The supertrend from volume is an example of my "Supertrend Any Source" indicator, where a custom ATR is created from non-OHLC data; this is available as both a separate public script and also in my "wbburgin_utils" library for you to use in your own script creation.
The supertrend from volume acts as a confirmation filter for the VWAP-supertrend shown on-chart. If the volume supertrend is trending up and the VWAP-based supertrend is also trending up, a buy signal is generated. Likewise, if the volume supertrend is trending down and the VWAP-supertrend is trending down, a sell signal is generated. The colors are based off of whether both supertrends are trending up or down: green for both up, blue for only price up, orange for only price down, and red for both down.
The settings enable you to change the volume length and the ATR length separately, as well as the multiplier and the source for the price supertrend. If you load the indicator for the first time and see no entries and exits, this is because "Show Strategy Entries and Exits" is disabled in the settings. This is if you plan on using the strategy as an indicator and don't want to be bothered by the entry and exit symbols on the chart. Additionally, for those who like clean charts (like me), you can turn all the labels off in the settings, as well as the highlighting.
My default strategy settings for the strategy results shown below are as follows: 5% equity per trade, 5 degrees of pyramiding, commissions of 0.08% per trade. This strategy doesn't come with stops yet, so please be aware of that before using it to trade - I highly suggest you create your own stops based off of your R/R ratio and personal risk tolerance. Additionally, it works best on trending assets (b/c of the supertrends) with high volume. This might mean it does not work as well on lower timeframes.
SuperTrend Long Strategy +TrendFilterThis strategy aims to identify long (buy) opportunities in the market using the SuperTrend indicator. It utilizes the Average True Range (ATR) and a multiplier to determine the dynamic support levels for entering long positions. This presentation will provide an overview of the strategy's components, explain its usage, and highlight that it focuses on long trades.
Components of the Strategy:
1. ATR Period: This input determines the period used for calculating the Average True Range (ATR). A higher value may result in smoother trend lines but may lag behind recent price changes.
2. Source (src): This input determines the price source used for calculations, with "hl2" (the average of high and low prices) set as the default.
3. ATR Multiplier: This input specifies the multiplier applied to the ATR value to determine the distance of the support levels from the source.
4. Change ATR Calculation Method: This input allows toggling between two methods of ATR calculation: the default method using atr() or a simple moving average (SMA) of ATR values (sma(tr, Periods)).
5. Show Buy/Sell Signals: This input enables or disables the display of buy and sell signals on the chart.
6. Highlighter On/Off: This input controls whether highlighting of up and down trends is displayed on the chart.
7. Bar Coloring On/Off: This input determines whether the bars on the chart are colored based on the trend direction.
8. The "SuperTrend Long STRATEGY" has been enhanced by incorporating a trend filter. A moving average is used as the filter to confirm the prevailing trend before executing trades. This addition effectively reduces false signals and improves the strategy's reliability, all while maintaining its original name.
Strategy Logic:
1. The strategy calculates the upper (up) and lower (dn) trend lines based on the ATR value and the chosen multiplier.
2. The trend variable keeps track of the current trend, with 1 indicating an uptrend and -1 indicating a downtrend.
3. Buy and sell signals are generated based on the change in trend direction.
4. The strategy includes an optional highlighting feature that colors the chart background based on the current trend.
5. Additionally, the bar coloring feature colors the bars based on the direction of the last trend change.
Usage:
1. ATR Period and ATR Multiplier can be adjusted based on the desired sensitivity and risk tolerance.
2. Buy and sell signals can be displayed using the Show Buy/Sell Signals input, providing clear indications of entry and exit points.
3. The Highlighter On/Off input allows users to visually identify the prevailing trend by coloring the chart background.
4. The Bar Coloring On/Off input offers a quick visual reference for the most recent trend change.
Long Strategy:
The SuperTrend Long Strategy is specifically designed to identify long (buy) opportunities. It generates buy signals when the current trend changes from a downtrend to an uptrend, indicating a potential entry point for long positions. The strategy aims to capture upward price movements and maximize profits during bullish market conditions.
The SuperTrend Long Strategy provides traders with a systematic approach to identifying long trade opportunities. By leveraging the SuperTrend indicator and dynamic support levels, this strategy aims to generate buy signals in uptrending markets. Traders can customize the inputs and utilize the visual features to adapt the strategy to their specific trading preferences.
The modification adds a trend filter to the "SuperTrend Long STRATEGY" to improve its effectiveness. The trend filter uses a moving average to confirm the prevailing trend before taking trades. This addition helps filter out false signals and enhances the strategy's reliability without changing its name.
Kitchen [ilovealgotrading]
OVERVIEW:
Kitchen is a strategy that aims to trade in the direction of the trend by using supertrend and stochRsi data by calculating at different time values.
IMPLEMENTATION DETAILS – SETTINGS:
First of all, let's understand the supertrend and stocrsi indicators.
How do you read and use Super Trend for trading ?
The price is often going upwards when it breaks the super trend line while keeping its position above the indication level.
When the market is in a bullish trend, the indicator becomes green. The indicator level will act as trendline support in such a scenario. The color of the indicator changes to red to indicate a negative trend once the price crosses the support line. The price uses the super trend level as a trendline resistance during a bearish move.
In our strategy, if our 1-hour and 4-hour supertrend lines show the up or down train in the same direction at the same time, we can assume that a train is forming here.
Why do I use the time of 1 hour and 4 hours ?
When I did a backtest from the past to the present, I discovered that the most accurate and consistent time zones are the 1 hour and 4 hour time zones.
By the way we can change our short term timeframe(1H) and long term timeframe(4H) from settings panel.
How do you read and use the Stoch-RSI Indicator?
This indicator analyzes price dynamics automatically to detect overbought and oversold locations.
The indicator includes:
- The primary line, which typically has values between 0 and 100;
- Two dynamic levels for overbought and oversold conditions.
IF our stoch-rsi indicator value has fallen below our lower boundary line, the oversold event has been observed in the price, if our stoch-rsi value breaks up our bottom line after becoming oversold, we think that the price will start the recovery phase.(The case is also true for the opposite.)
However, this does not always apply and we need additional approvals, Therefore, our 1H and 4H supertrrend indicator provides us with additional confirmation.
Buy Condition:
Our 1H(short term) and 4H(long term) supertrrend indicator, has given the buy signal(green line and yellow line), and if our stochrsi indicator has broken our oversold line up on the past 15 bars, the buy signal is formed here.
Sell Condition:
Our 1H(short term) and 4H(long term) supertrrend indicator, has given the sell signal(red line and orange line), and if our stochrsi indicator has broken our overbuy line down on the past 15 bars, the sell signal is formed here.
Stop Loss or Take Profit Conditions:
Exit Long Senerio:
All conditions are completed, the buy signal has arrived and we have entered a LONG trade, the 1-hour supertrend line follows the price rise(yellow line), if the price breaks below the 1-hour super trend line and a sell condition occurs for 1H timeframe for supertrend indcator, LONG trade will exit here.
Exit Short Senerio:
All conditions are completed, the Sell signal has arrived and we have entered a SHORT trade, the 1-hour supertrend line follows the price down(orange line), if the price breaks up the 1-hour super trend line and a buy condition occurs for 1H timeframe for supertrend indcator, SHORT trade will exit here.
What can you change in the settings panel?
1-We can set Start and End date for backtest and future alarms
2-We can set ATR length and Factor for supertrend indicator
3-We can set our short term and long term timeframe value
4-We can set StochRsi Up and Low limit to confirm buy and sell conditions
5-We can set stochrsi retroactive approval length
6-We can set stochrsi values or the length
7-We can set Dollar cost for per position
8- We can choose the direction of our positions, we can set only LONG, only SHORT or both directions.
9-IF you want to place automatic buy and sell orders with this strategy, you can paste your codes into the Long open-close or Short open-close message sections.
For example
IF you write your alert window this code {{strategy.order.alert_message}}.
When trigger Long signal you will get dynamically what you pasted here for Long Open Message

BankNifty 5min Supertrend Based StrategyBankNifty 5min Supertrend Based Strategy, Intraday.
Work Best at 5mint chart on BankNifty.
The strategy is designed to trade using the Supertrend indicator with session-based rules, and risk management. It allows for customization through input variables and aims to provide a clear visual representation of the Supertrend by changing the color .
The script also includes input variables for the trading session and date range, which allows the trader to specify the time period in which they want the strategy to run. The session variable specifies the start and end times of the trading session, which in this case is set to the Indian trading session from 9:15 am to 3:10 pm.
The strategy starts by defining input variables such as the session time, start and end date for the backtesting, the length of the ATR, and the Supertrend factor. It also includes options for delay at session start and stop loss points and trail percentage .
The code then checks if the current time is within the specified session and date range . If it is, the Supertrend and its direction are calculated using the defined input variables. The strategy then waits for N numbers of candles (defined by the User) to form at the start of every session i.e. 09:15 AM before entering a trade.
The entry and exit conditions for long and short trades are defined based on the change in the Supertrend direction and the number of candles formed at the session start i.e. 09:15 AM . After that, it takes entry and exit for long and short trades on the change in the Supertrend direction . Stop-loss and trailing stop-loss are also defined based on the input variables.
Stop-loss (Defined by the user) is fixed points either below or above the Entry Price for Long and Short entries.
The Supertrend plot is displayed with changing colors depending on the direction. Finally, the strategy closes all trades at the end of the session if there are any open trades.
Overall, this strategy aims to trade with the Supertrend indicator using session-based rules and risk management.
However, as with any trading strategy, it is important to thoroughly test it before using it in live trading .
Self Optimizing Supertrend [Starbots]Self Optimizing Supertrend Strategy. (non-repainting)
Script constantly tests 15 Supertrend combinations for maximum profitability and trades based on the best performing combination.
You will notice that signal lines switch after a bar close sometimes, this is when the strategy optimizes to the better combination and change plots, strategy is dynamic.

# Average True Range (ATR)
The Average True Range (ATR) is a tool used in technical analysis to measure volatility. Unlike many of today's popular indicators, the ATR is not used to indicate the direction of price. Rather, it is a metric used solely to measure volatility, especially volatility caused by price gaps or limit moves.
# Supertrend
A Super Trend is a trend following indicator similar to moving averages. It is plotted on price and the current trend can simply be determined by its placement vis-a-vis price. It is a very simple indicator and is constructed with the help of just two parameters- period and multiplier.
When we construct the Supertrend indicator strategy, the default parameters are 10 for Average True Range (ATR) and 3 for its multiplier. The average true range (ATR) plays a key role in ‘Supertrend’ as the indicator uses ATR to compute its value and it signals the degree of price volatility.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
-Turn on Supertrend Profit Dashboard and spot the worst/best performing combination. You can change them to get the best performance overall.
-Backtesting Range - backtest within your desired time window. Example: 'from 01 / 01 /2020 to 01 / 01 /2023'.
-Optimizing range - you can decrease the amount of bars/data for optimizing script. This way you can keep it up to date to more recent market by selecting optimizing range to optimize it just from the recent 3-6months of data for example. Strategy before this selected range will normally trade (backtest) based on the fifth buying condition (5. Supertrend Factor) parameter in your menu (1.6 by default) if you turn this on.
*I recommend 'Optimizing Range' turned off actually, use max amount of available bars in your history for optimization script.
- Strategy is trading on the bar close without repaint. You can trade Long-Sell or Long- Short. Alerts available, insert webhook messages.
- Turn on Profit Calendar for better overview of how your strategy performs monthly/annualy
- Recommended ATR Length : 10 (default), higher timeframes usually performs good on the shorter period lengths 6-10, smaller timeframes on the larger ATR period length 10-20.
- Recommended Sources : hl2 (default Supertrend), close, hlc3, hlcc4 (when scalping/day trading and market is uptrending good, you can use 'volume' as a source, comes in handy)
- Recommended Smoothing Moving Average for ATR : We smooth the ATR calculation with moving average, traders usually use SMA as a moving average here, but you can use alternatives like EMA, HMA. Try them if this improves your results.
- Recommended TF : 15min, 30min, 1h, 2h, 4h, 8h, 1d (low timeframes works good if you have no fees like Binance currently do on BTC for example otherwise you probably want to use 1/2h+ chart)
- Supertrend Factor parameters : pre-set Supertrend Factors are very good and common in trading world, you don't need to change them, but you can do it at free will. Traders usually use Supertrend factor of 2 or 3, use parameters around this numbers.
- Notes window : add your custom comments in or save your webhook message text inside here for later use.
- Trading Session: in a session, you have to specify the time range for every day. It will trade only within this window and close trades when it's out. Session from 9am to 5pm will look like that: 0900-1700 or 7am to 4:30pm 0700-1630. After the colon, you can specify days of the week for your trading session. 1234567 trading all days, 23456 – Monday to Friday ('1 is Sunday here'). 0000-0000:1234567 by default will trade every day nonstop. 00.00am to 00.00pm and 1234567 every day of the week for example - Cryptocurrencies.
This script is simple to use for any trader as it saves a lot of time for searching good parameters on your own. It's self-optimizing and adjusting to the markets on the go.
Strategy Myth-Busting #12 - OSGFC+SuperTrend - [MYN]This is part of a new series we are calling "Strategy Myth-Busting" where we take open public manual trading strategies and automate them. The goal is to not only validate the authenticity of the claims but to provide an automated version for traders who wish to trade autonomously.
Our 12th one is an automated version of the "The Most Powerful Tradingview Buy Sell Signal Indicator " strategy from "Power of Trading" who doesn't make any official claims but watching how he trades with this, it on the surface looked promising. The strategy author uses this on the 15 min strategy on mostly FOREX. Unfortunately as indicated by the backtest results below, we were not able to substantiate any good positive trading metrics from this, be it Profit, Markdown, Num Of Trades etc. This does seem to do okay with some entries but perhaps adding another indicator to this to filter out more noise might make it better. At least how this strategy is presented now, this is not something I recommend anyone use.
This strategy uses a combination of 2 open-source public indicators:
SuperTrend by TradingView Internal
One-Sided Gaussian Filter w/ Channels By Loxx
The SuperTrend indicator and the One-Sided Gaussian Filter complement each other by providing a more complete and accurate picture of market trends. The SuperTrend indicator is used to identify trends. It does this by calculating a moving average of the underlying securities price and then comparing the current price to the moving average. When the current price is above the moving average, the trend is considered bullish, and when it is below, the trend is considered bearish.
The One-Sided Gaussian Filter is a mathematical tool that is used to smooth out fluctuations in financial data. It does this by removing random noise from the data, making it easier to identify patterns and trends.
When the SuperTrend indicator is used in conjunction with the One-Sided Gaussian Filter, the smoothed price data generated by the filter is used as the input for the SuperTrend calculation. This provides a more accurate representation of market trends and helps to eliminate false signals generated by short-term price movements. As a result, the SuperTrend indicator is able to more accurately identify the underlying trend in the market and provide traders with a cleaner and more reliable signal to act upon.
In summary, the SuperTrend indicator and the One-Sided Gaussian Filter complement each other by providing a more accurate and reliable representation of market trends, resulting in improved performance for traders.
If you know of or have a strategy you want to see myth-busted or just have an idea for one, please feel free to message me.

Stop Loss : Define your desired stop loss when using either a fixed stop loss or a trailing stop.
How to: Find the best Supertrend for trading
It's important to remember that merely having the AI-Optimized Supertrend on your chart doesn't automatically provide you with the best strategy. You need to follow the AI's guidance through an iterative process to discover the optimal Supertrend settings and strategy.
Optimizing Supertrend involves adjusting two key parameters: the Factor and the Average True Range (ATR). These parameters significantly influence the Supertrend indicator's sensitivity and responsiveness to price movements.
Factor : This parameter multiplies the ATR to determine the distance of the Supertrend line from the price. Higher values will create a wider band, potentially leading to fewer trade signals, while lower values create a narrower band, which may result in more signals but also more noise.
ATR (Average True Range) : ATR measures market volatility. By using the ATR, the Supertrend adapts to changing market volatility; a higher ATR value means a more volatile market, so the Supertrend adjusts accordingly.
During the optimization process, these parameters are systematically varied to determine the combination that yields the best performance based on predefined criteria such as profitability, win rate, or risk management efficiency. The optimization aims to find the optimal Factor and ATR settings.
1.Starting Your Strategy Setup
Begin by deciding your goals for each trade: your profit target and stop loss, or if all trades exit when Supertrend changes direction. You'll also choose how to manage your stops – whether they stay put (fixed) or move with the price (trailing), and whether you want to exit trades at a specific price (limit orders). Keep the initial settings for Supertrend Factor Range and Supertrend ATR Range at their default to give the tool a broad testing field. The AI's guidance will refine these settings to pinpoint the most effective ones through a process of comprehensive testing.
Demonstration Start: We'll begin with the settings outlined in the key settings section, using Supertrend's direction change to the downside as our exit signal for all trades.
2. Continue applying the AI’s suggestions
Keep updating your optimization settings based on the AI's recommendations. Proceed with this iterative optimization until the "Best Found" message is displayed, signaling that the most effective strategy has been identified.
While following the AI's suggestions, we've been prompted with a new suggestion: increase the
number of strategies evaluated. Keep following the AI's new suggestions to evaluate more strategies. Do this until the "Best Found" message shows up.
Success! We continued to follow the AI’s suggestions until “Best Found” was indicated!
AI Mode
AI Mode incorporates Heuristic-Based Adaptive Learning to fine-tune trading strategies in a continuous manner. This feature consists of two main components:
Heuristic-Based Decision Making: The algorithm evaluates multiple Supertrend-based trading strategies using metrics such as Profit and Loss (PNL), Win Rate, and Most Efficient Profit. These metrics act as heuristics to assist the algorithm in identifying suitable strategies for trade execution.
Online Learning: The algorithm updates the performance evaluations of each strategy based on incoming market data. This enables the system to adapt to current market conditions.
Incorporating both heuristic-based decision-making and online learning, this feature aims to provide a framework for trading strategy optimization.
AI Mode Settings
AI Mode Aggressiveness:
Description: The "AI Mode Aggressiveness" setting allows you to fine-tune the AI's trading behavior. This setting ranges from “Low” to “High”, with “High” indicating a more assertive trading approach.
Functionality: This feature filters trading strategies based on a proprietary evaluation method. A higher setting narrows down the strategies that the AI will consider, leaning towards more aggressive trading. Conversely, a lower setting allows for a more conservative approach by broadening the pool of potential strategies.
Optimization
Trading system optimization is immensely advantageous when executed with prudence.
Technical-oriented, mechanical trading systems work when a valid correlation is methodical to the extent that an objective, precisely-defined ruleset can consistently exploit it. If no such correlation exists, or a technical-oriented system is erroneously designed to exploit an illusory correlation (absent predictive utility), the trading system will fail.
Evaluate results practically and test parameters rigorously after discovery. Simply mining the best-performing parameters and immediately trading them is unlikely a winning strategy. Put as much effort into testing strong-performing parameters and building an accompanying system as you would any other trading strategy. Automated optimization involves curve fitting - it's the responsibility of the trader to validate a replicable sequence or correlation and the trading system that exploits it.
Heikin Ashi SupertrendAbout this Strategy
This supertrend strategy uses the Heikin Ashi candles to generate the supertrend but enters and exits trades using normal candle close prices. If you use the standard built in Supertrend indicator on Heikin Ashi candles, it will produce very unrealistic backtesting results because it uses the Heikin Ashi prices instead of the real prices. However, by signaling the supertrend reversals using Heikin Ashi while using standard candle close prices for the entries and exits, it corrects the backtesting errors and gives you a more realistic equity curve. You should set the chart to use standard candles and then hide them (the strategy creates the candles).
This strategy includes:
Plotting of Heikin Ashi candles
Heikin Ashi Supertrend
Long and Short Entry Signals
Move stop loss after trade is X% in profit
Profit Target
Stop Loss
Built in Alertatron automation
Alertatron Trade Automation Integration
For Alertatron integration, be sure to configure the strategy settings and "Enable Webhook Messages" before creating an alert with {{strategy.order.alert_message}} in the body of your alert message. Be sure to enable webhooks and point it to your Incoming Alertatron webhook URL.
Notes
While this strategy does pretty well during trending markets, It's worth noting that the Buy and Hold ROI is much better during peak times of the bull market
Not financial advice. Do not risk more than you can afford to lose.
[Sniper] SuperTrend + SSL Hybrid + QQE MODHi. I’m DuDu95.
**********************************************************************************
This is the script for the series called "Sniper".
*** What is "Sniper" Series? ***
"Sniper" series is the project that I’m going to start.
In "Sniper" Series, I’m going to "snipe and shoot" the youtuber’s strategy: to find out whether the youtuber’s video about strategy is "true or false".
Specifically, I’m going to do the things below.
1. Implement "Youtuber’s strategy" into pinescript code.
2. Then I will "backtest" and prove whether "the strategy really works" in the specific ticker (e.g. BTCUSDT) for the specific timeframe (e.g. 5m).
3. Based on the backtest result, I will rate and judge whether the youtube video is "true" or "false", and then rate the validity, reliability, robustness, of the strategy. (like a lie detector)
*** What is the purpose of this series? ***
1. To notify whether the strategy really works for the people who watched the youtube video.
2. To find and build my own scalping / day trading strategy that really works.
**********************************************************************************
*** Strategy Description ***
This strategy is from " QQE MOD + supertrend + ssl hybrid" by korean youtuber "코인투데이".
"코인투데이" claimed that this strategy will make you a lot of money in any crypto ticker in 15 minute timeframe.
### Entry Logic
1. Long Entry Logic
- Super Trend Short -> Long
- close > SSL Hybrid baseline upper k
- QQE MOD should be blue
2. Short Entry Logic
- Super Trend Long -> Short
- close < SSL Hybrid baseline lower k
- QQE MOD should be red
### Exit Logic
1. Long Exit Logic
- Super Trend Long -> Short
2. Short Entry Logic
- Super Trend Short -> Long
### StopLoss
1. Can Choose Stop Loss Type: Percent, ATR, Previous Low / High.
2. Can Chosse inputs of each Stop Loss Type.
### Take Profit
1. Can set Risk Reward Ratio for Take Profit.
- To simplify backtest, I erased all other options except RR Ratio.
- You can add Take Profit Logic by adding options in the code.
2. Can set Take Profit Quantity.
### Risk Manangement
1. Can choose whether to use Risk Manangement Logic.
- This controls the Quantity of the Entry.
- e.g. If you want to take 3% risk per trade and stop loss price is 6% below the long entry price,
then 50% of your equity will be used for trade.
2. Can choose How much risk you would take per trade.
### Plot
1. Added Labels to check the data of entry / exit positions.
2. Changed and Added color different from the original one. (green: #02732A, red: #D92332, yellow: #F2E313)
3. SuperTrend and SSL Hybrid Baseline is by default drawn on the chart.
4. If you check EMA filter, EMA would be drawn on the chart.
5. Should add QQE MOD indicator manually if you want to see QQE MOD.
**********************************************************************************
*** Rating: True or False?
### Rating:
→ 3.5 / 5 (0 = Trash, 1 = Bad, 2 = Not Good, 3 = Good, 4 = Great, 5 = Excellent)
### True or False?
→ True but not a 'perfect true'.
→ It did made a small profit on 15 minute timeframe. But it made a profit so it's true.
→ It worked well in longer timeframe. I think super trend works well so I will work on this further.
### Better Option?
→ Use this for Day trading or Swing Trading, not for Scalping. (Bigger Timeframe)
→ Although the result was not good at 15 minute timeframe, it was quite profitable in 1h, 2h, 4h, 8h, 1d timeframe.
→ Crypto like BTC, ETH was ok.
→ The result was better when I use EMA filter.
### Robust?
→ Yes. Although result was super bad in 5m timeframe, backtest result was "consistently" profitable on longer timeframe (when timeframe was bigger than 15m, it was profitable).
→ Also, MDD was good under risk management option on.
**********************************************************************************
*** Conclusion?
→ I recommend you not to use this on short timeframe as the youtuber first mentioned.
→ In my opinion, I can use on longer timeframe like 2h or bigger with EMA filter, stoploss and risk management.

The default Stop Loss Strategy is a Trailing Stoploss. As trailing Price the current TF Supertrend is used.
Additional
Time Filter: Only opens trade in the defined Session. Open trades are still being closed outside of the Session.
Start Date/End Date: Limits the backtest for the defined Date Range
Trading Days: Only open Trades on the checked Days
Risk % per Trade: If enabled the Strategy uses X% of the capital (defined in Settings -> Properties -> Initial Capital)
Use Compound Interest: If enabled Capital is recalculated for every trade (initial capital + net Profit)
IMPORTANT: For low Timeframes and Markets with tight SL (like Forex) it requires a lower Margin Percent than default. Go to Settings->Properties and lower the required Long/Short Margin. Otherwise Trades might not be considered because of too less capital/marign. Margins can e.g. set to: 2% (Forex), 10% (Stocks), 20% (Crypto).
