Short-term scalping

If you want to make a dollar or two from scalping, watch the lower support and buy if you see signs of reversal upon reaching that point. I'd say it is a likely buy if it reaches the bottom, stronger line of support.

That said, Aug 2 could bring either a surge or a major dip. Watch the news carefully and don't go against the overall trend. So far, it seems to be quite stable.

Judging by the on balance volume, people are stocking up on BTC. This is likely due to the offer of free BCC on Aug 1. What people will do after that - is anybody's guess. People can hold onto it waiting for a possible surge, which will keep or increase the price, or sell it off/convert to alts, which will bring the price down. In a normal market, the latter would be more likely, but under current circumstances, it is a 50/50 chance.
