One thing I have learned from 45 years of trading:
Markets have a tendency to do what the most number of market participants least expect and don't want to happen.
Descending triangles are most often bearish.

Nota

After listening to Peter's explanation (on youtube), this round was the 4th parabolic move and he says there are 2 possible scenario's at play at the Macro Level
1) the 4th parabolic move is complete so this is a blow-off with this large formation
2) this is still part of the 4th parabolic move as per charts below as with BITSTAMP (last) chart
