So what's going to happen in 2020?
Obviously we have the third halving, but what will be the impact? It'll be the hardest to ever mine a bitcoin. And this will obviously come with a lot of more expenses. But will (chip) manufactures be stimulated to keep improving their products for crypto mining? What will the impact be of quantum computers to the blockchain? If quantum mining will be introduced, it'll be 100x faster than a bitcoin mine. By then a bitcoin farm isn't lucrative and better technology must've taken over.
If technology isn't growing with the market then it'll be a hard time for BTC to reach new ATH or even sustain price. The breakeven for most miners after halving will be estimated to be above current (7k-8k) BTC price.
Current mining hashrate is doubled since may 2019... Overall an exciting new era in bitcoin mining!
