Yes, for many stocks like Tesla, SEA, NIO, etc it has been nothing but almost trending up every other days! So those who chased the high price and got rewarded believes it is alright to chase so long as they are rewarded.
Nothing wrong with this concept so long as the music continues playing and the chairs are still in circulation. But, there comes a time where the last player who came in the latest and has to bear the brunt of it all. Of course, nobody wants to be that person and believes wholeheartedly they will never be that person. Conceptually ,it is like the pyramid scheme. When all are making money, nobody can think rationally. Those who made it big (eg the cryptocurrencies millionaires are already thinking of which car to buy)believes luck is with them and their friends are doing and doing well. The influence is STRONG and how can they turn weak at this juncture ?
That is the power of temptation ! It clouds your judgement and leads you to an illusionary world where all things are rosy and beautiful. Again, being positive is important and a healthy dosage of optimism is necessary but it is YOUR money that is at RISK. And if you can take care of the downside , then there is no need to worry about the upside potential.
More importantly, is this a MUST BUY stock ? Are there better ones that are in the same league ? Or did you just buy it because your friends said so ? If you lose money, are they going to compensate you ?
Your money, your decision, your decision, your responsibility ! Never let anyone tells you what to do , no matter how convincing it might be. You have to convince yourself with your own sets of rules......then if it fails, at least you have done your due diligence.
