Moderna - Possible New High This Year?

𝗦𝗮𝗺𝘀𝘂𝗻𝗴 𝘂𝗻𝘃𝗲𝗶𝗹𝘀 𝗮 $𝟮𝟬𝟱 𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝟰𝟬,𝟬𝟬𝟬 𝗷𝗼𝗯𝘀.

SMSN.L (Samsung Electronics Co Ltd) has announced a 240 trillion Korean Won (roughly $205 billion) expansion in diversified divisions over the next three years, including chipmaking, biopharmaceuticals, and telecommunications units. It intends to enhance its global presence and lean in new industries such as next-generation telecommunications and robotics.

Samsung Electronics plans to develop advanced process technology and expand the business with artificial intelligence (AI) and data centers for its system semiconductors while focusing on up-to-date technology. Last May, the company announced it would invest $151 billion in its logic chip and foundry sector to be the top logic chip maker by 2030.

Samsung Biologics and Samsung Bioepis plan to establish two new plants for expanding the contract development manufacturing organization (CDMO) business. The CDMO unit is set to manufacture MRNA (Moderna Inc) ‘s Covid-19 vaccine at its facilities in South Korea late this month.

Samsung said it would be aggressive for big acquisition deals to pave its leadership in its target businesses. It is currently sitting on about 200 trillion won cash and cash-equivalent assets.

South Korea’s largest conglomerate is setting aside 180 trillion won for its home country alone. It now aims to hire another 10,000 people over the period, on top of 30,000 new jobs already planned
