As per my understanding, bears in bull market always stays for very few days but powerful​ and sometimes we will not even get entry. I may be wrong also here...

Wheras in long side u get many opportunities and quality stocks even if falls also will always bounce back very strongly.

so try to taste the success through buy on dips strategy as long as the bull run continues.
