Nio (NIO) reported a narrower adjusted Q3 loss per ADS of RMB0.82 a diluted share, compared with a loss of RMB2.38 for the same period last year. Revenue for the Chinese electric carmaker shot up to RMB4.53 billion, up from RMB1.84 in the 2019 quarter.
A poll of analysts by Capital IQ expected Nio to post a Q3 adjusted loss of RMB1.08, on revenue of RMB4.28.
Vehicle deliveries for Q3 were 12,206, up from 4,799 in the year-ago quarter.
Looking forward, Nio said it sees Q4 revenue of between RMB6.26 billion and RMB6.44 billion. For Q4, analysts are expecting revenue of RMB5.36 billion.
Deliveries of vehicles in Q4 are expected to be between 16,500 and 17,000 vehicles, representing an increase of about 100.6% to 106.7% from the same quarter of 2019, and an increase of about 35.2% to 39.3% from the third quarter of 2020.
