USDCAD trend forecast April 16 , 2025

💬All eyes are likely to be on the Bank of Canada (BoC) this Wednesday, as analysts broadly expect the central bank to hold its benchmark interest rate steady at 2.75%, effectively pausing after seven straight rate cuts.

Meanwhile, the Canadian Dollar (CAD) has been gaining strength over the past few weeks, climbing from monthly lows near the 1.4400 level to around 1.3840 against the US Dollar (USD).
