USDCAD trend forecast April 9 , 2025

💬The USD/CAD pair dips slightly to around 1.4255 in late U.S. trading on Tuesday, as the Canadian Dollar (CAD) gains ground against the U.S. Dollar amid investor optimism over potential global negotiations surrounding U.S. trade tariffs. Market attention now turns to the upcoming release of the FOMC Minutes on Wednesday, along with a speech from Federal Reserve (Fed) official Thomas Barkin.

On Tuesday, U.S. Customs and Border Protection announced it is ready to start collecting country-specific tariffs from 86 trade partners. President Trump stated that while he is not planning to pause the implementation of broad new tariffs affecting numerous countries, he remains open to limited talks with certain partners seeking exemptions.
