MomentumPRO // Cluster Search v1 - Volume Cluster Detection

A specialized indicator that searches for and identifies volume clusters within price bars. Using lower timeframe data, it pinpoints areas where significant trading volume concentrated within specific price ranges, revealing key levels of market interest.

Key Features:
🔸 Volume Cluster Search - Automatically finds areas with concentrated trading activity
🔸 Configurable Volume Thresholds - Filter clusters by minimum/maximum volume requirements
🔸 Price Delta Control - Set the price range for cluster detection sensitivity
🔸 Display Options - Show single highest volume cluster or up to 10 clusters per bar
🔸 Auto Timeframe Selection - Optimizes lower timeframe data collection

Best Used For:
+ Finding high-volume price levels that may act as support/resistance
+ Identifying institutional accumulation zones
+ Spotting areas of significant market participation
+ Confirming breakout levels with volume validation

Perfect for traders who need to quickly identify where the most significant trading activity occurred within each price bar. Essential for volume-based trading strategies and understanding market microstructure.

MomentumPRO // Cluster Search v1.1 — what we shipped today

- Live intrabar clusters
- Clusters now compute and update on every tick.
- Fixed the bug where the last closed bar’s cluster appeared on the current bar.

- Price Delta: Absolute or Percent
- New dropdown: Price Delta Mode → “Absolute” or “Percent”.
- Percent uses close * percent/100.
- Very small absolute deltas now work thanks to adaptive resolution (see next point).

- Adaptive bins for resolution
- The number of active bins scales with candle range vs your chosen delta.
- Small deltas on low-priced assets no longer collapse to the same result.

- Cleaner multi-cluster detection
- Added non-overlapping selection (NMS) so nearby clusters don’t stack on top of each other.
- “Only One Cluster Per Bar” stays for minimal, signal-first charts.

- Consistent box height across symbols
- New “Cluster Box Height Mode”: Bins (default) or Ticks.
- Default settings: Bins = 20, Ticks = 200.
- Bins mode ties height to price-bin width, keeping visuals scale-consistent between $40 and $100k assets.

- Version bump
- Indicator title updated to v1.1.

Why this matters
- Truer live read: see clusters as they form, not just after close.
- Scale-agnostic: BTC and cheap alts render comparably.
- Less clutter, more intent: non-overlapping clusters highlight the strongest areas.

How to use
1. Set Price Delta Mode:
- Absolute: enter price units (e.g., 0.1).
- Percent: enter percent (e.g., 0.25%).
2. If you want one signal per bar, keep Only One Cluster Per Bar on.
3. Choose Cluster Box Height Mode:
- Bins (default): set “Cluster Box Height (bins)” → start at 20.
- Optional: switch to Ticks and adjust “Cluster Box Height (ticks)” (default 200).
4. Tweak “Min/Max Traded Volume” if you want to filter noise.

Notes
- Closed bars don’t repaint; intrabar updates naturally evolve as new ticks arrive.
- Uses lower-timeframe data under the hood; performance remains good with the current defaults.
- Defaults today: Bins mode, 20 bins; Ticks fallback 200.

🎯 Cluster Search Indicator Update: Now Even Smarter!

What's New in Cluster Search v1.2?

Today we've released an important update that will make working with different instruments much easier.

🔄 Two Volume Filtering Modes
Before: You had to manually adjust the minimum volume for each ticker. One threshold for SPY, completely different for low-liquidity stocks.
Now: The indicator automatically adapts to the instrument's liquidity!

Absolute Mode — classic fixed volume threshold (as before)
% of ADV Mode — smart threshold as a percentage of 14-day average daily volume

💡 What's the Benefit?
Imagine: you trade both SPY and some low-volume stock. Previously, you had to constantly change settings when switching between charts.
Now just set, for example, "2% of ADV" — and the indicator automatically:

For SPY with 80M daily volume will show clusters from 1.6M
For a stock with 500K daily volume will show clusters from 10K

One percentage works for all tickers! 🚀

📊 How Does It Work?
The indicator takes the average daily volume for the last 14 days and uses your specified percentage as the threshold. Clusters with lower volume simply aren't displayed — you only see significant levels.

⚙️ How to Set It Up?

Open indicator settings
At the very top, choose the mode:

Absolute + specify fixed volume
% of ADV + specify percentage (e.g., 1-3%)

Done! All other settings work as usual

✅ What Remains Unchanged?

All cluster visualization
Alert functionality
Display settings (single/multiple clusters per bar)
Box heights and color schemes

We've simply added smart liquidity adaptation without touching the familiar functionality.

Try the new % of ADV mode — especially if you trade instruments with different liquidity levels. It really saves time on reconfiguration!
P.S. Old settings will continue to work as before — Absolute mode is selected by default.
