Absolute Channels V7: Perfection in Logarithmic Analysis
This update elevates the automated channel detection algorithm to a new level, completely eliminating visual distortions especially on long-term and high-volatility charts (Crypto, Growth Stocks, etc.).
Mathematical Log-Space Transformation: Lines are no longer calculated based on nominal price alone but on the logarithm of the price. This ensures that on log charts, lines align perfectly with pivots and do not distort when extended.
Dynamic Pivot Analysis: With Pivot Sensitivity and Error Pct % inputs, the algorithm automatically scans and finds the narrowest and most significant channels with the highest frequency of price touches.
Bi-Directional Extension: Detected channels are automatically extended both into the past and the future, allowing for a clearer view of historical support/resistance impact on current price action.
Interactive Tooltips: Descriptive tooltips have been added to every parameter in the settings panel, helping users to better optimize the indicator for their specific trading strategies.
Performance-Driven Engine: The scanning algorithm, which processes thousands of bars, has been optimized using the latest Pine Script V5 data-handling techniques for faster performance.
