📊 5-Minute EMA & Stochastic RSI Trading Strategy (Step-by-Step Guide)
🧰 1. Set Up the Indicators
A. Exponential Moving Averages (EMA)
Go to your trading platform (like TradingView).
Click on “Indicators” and search for “EMA”.
Select “Moving Average Exponential” twice (you need two).
For the first EMA, click the settings:
Set Length to 50.
Change color if preferred (e.g., white).
For the second EMA:
Set Length to 200.
Use a different color for distinction.
B. Stochastic RSI
Click Indicators again.
Search “Stochastic RSI”.
Select it under Technicals.
Use default settings.
📏 2. Understand the Indicator Behavior
Stochastic RSI:
Above 80 = Overbought (possible price correction down).
Below 20 = Oversold (possible price correction up).
Use Stochastic RSI only for entry confirmation, not during a trade.
📈 3. Rules for Trade Setup
Trade only when the price breaks through the 50 or 200 EMA.
Avoid trading if the price is moving between the two EMAs.
Only enter after a clear break away from both EMAs.
Wait for 2–3 candle closes after the EMA breakout before entering.
Confirm trade using Stochastic RSI:
Short trade: Stochastic RSI should be in overbought territory (above 80).
Long trade: Stochastic RSI should be in oversold territory (below 20).
🛒 4. Entering the Trade
Look for a breakthrough candle (price cuts through EMA).
Wait for 2nd or 3rd candle after the breakthrough to enter.
Only enter if the Stochastic RSI confirms (see above).
🛑 5. Stop Loss & Take Profit
Stop Loss:
Place it slightly above or below where most retail traders would.
Avoid obvious levels; place it a bit further to avoid getting wicked out.
Take Profit:
Aim for a Risk-Reward (RR) ratio of at least 1.5.
Optional: Use a trailing stop loss to lock in profits as the trade progresses.
🔁 6. Managing the Trade
Adjust stop loss as price moves in your favor.
Lock in guaranteed profit once trade moves beyond entry.
Be realistic—not all setups are perfect.
🧠 7. Important Strategy Notes
Do NOT trade when price is stuck between the 50 and 200 EMA.
Skip trades where Stochastic RSI is already in the opposite zone (e.g., oversold for shorts).
Retests:
A wick retest (no close above EMA) can still be valid.
If candle closes above the EMA on retest, avoid the trade.
Strategy yields 2–3 trades/day on average—quality over quantity.
Use logic and discretion—the setup must make sense.

Buy/Sell Signals (MACD + RSI) 1HThis is a Pine Script indicator for TradingView that plots Buy/Sell signals based on the combination of MACD and RSI indicators on a 1-hour chart.
Description of the Code:
Indicator Setup:
The script is set to overlay the Buy/Sell signals directly on the price chart (using overlay=true).
The indicator is named "Buy/Sell Signals (MACD + RSI) 1H".
MACD Settings:
The MACD (Moving Average Convergence Divergence) uses standard settings of:
Fast Length: 12
Slow Length: 26
Signal Line Smoothing: 9
The MACD line and the Signal line are calculated using the ta.macd() function.
RSI Settings:
The RSI (Relative Strength Index) is calculated with a 14-period setting using the ta.rsi() function.
Buy/Sell Conditions:
Buy Signal:
Triggered when the MACD line crosses above the Signal line (Golden Cross).
RSI value is below 50.
Sell Signal:
Triggered when the MACD line crosses below the Signal line (Dead Cross).
RSI value is above 50.
Signal Visualization:
Buy Signals:
Green "BUY" labels are plotted below the price bars where the Buy conditions are met.
Sell Signals:
Red "SELL" labels are plotted above the price bars where the Sell conditions are met.
Chart Timeframe:
While the code itself doesn't enforce a specific timeframe, the name indicates that this indicator is intended to be used on a 1-hour chart.
To use it effectively, apply the script on a 1-hour chart in TradingView.
How It Works:
This indicator combines MACD and RSI to generate Buy/Sell signals:
The MACD identifies potential trend changes or momentum shifts (via crossovers).
The RSI ensures that Buy/Sell signals align with broader momentum (e.g., Buy when RSI < 50 to avoid overbought conditions).
When the defined conditions for Buy or Sell are met, visual signals (labels) are plotted on the chart.
How to Use:
Copy the code into the Pine Script editor in TradingView.
Save and apply the script to your 1-hour chart.
Look for:
"BUY" signals (green): Indicating potential upward trends or buying opportunities.
"SELL" signals (red): Indicating potential downward trends or selling opportunities.
This script is simple and focuses purely on providing actionable Buy/Sell signals based on two powerful indicators, making it ideal for traders who prefer a clean chart without clutter. Let me know if you need further customization!
Precision Trading Strategy: Golden EdgeThe PTS: Golden Edge strategy is designed for scalping Gold (XAU/USD) on lower timeframes, such as the 1-minute chart. It captures high-probability trade setups by aligning with strong trends and momentum, while filtering out low-quality trades during consolidation or low-volatility periods.
The strategy uses a combination of technical indicators to identify optimal entry points:
1. Exponential Moving Averages (EMAs): A fast EMA (3-period) and a slow EMA (33-period) are used to detect short-term trend reversals via crossover signals.
2. Hull Moving Average (HMA): A 66-period HMA acts as a higher-timeframe trend filter to ensure trades align with the overall market direction.
3. Relative Strength Index (RSI): A 12-period RSI identifies momentum. The strategy requires RSI > 55 for long trades and RSI < 45 for short trades, ensuring entries are backed by strong buying or selling pressure.
4. Average True Range (ATR): A 14-period ATR ensures trades occur only during volatile conditions, avoiding choppy or low-movement markets.
By combining these tools, the PTS: Golden Edge strategy creates a precise framework for scalping and offers a systematic approach to capitalize on Gold’s price movements efficiently.
Golden Cross and Death Cross with ProbabilityThe Advanced Golden and Death Crossover Indicator offers traders a powerful tool for identifying potential buy and sell signals through the classic technical analysis method of moving average crossovers. This script enhances decision-making by dynamically changing the chart background color in response to Golden (bullish) and Death (bearish) crossovers, providing a visual representation of the market's momentum.
Features:
Golden and Death Crossover Detection: Utilizes a 50-period SMA and a 200-period SMA to identify potential buy (golden cross) and sell (death cross) points.
Continuous Background Coloring: Changes the chart's background color to green for golden crosses and red for death crosses, offering an intuitive grasp of market trends.
Customizable Lookback Period: Allows users to adjust the lookback period for calculating the success rate of each crossover, making the indicator adaptable to various trading strategies.
Success Rate Calculation: Provides an additional layer of analysis by calculating the historical success rate of crossovers within the specified lookback period.
Instructions:
Adding the Indicator: Search for "Advanced Golden and Death Crossover Indicator" in the TradingView Indicators & Strategies library and add it to your chart.
Customization: Access the indicator settings to adjust the lookback period according to your trading preferences.
Interpretation: Use the continuous background color as a guide to market conditions, with green indicating bullish momentum and red indicating bearish momentum. The success rate of past crossovers can help assess the reliability of the signals.
How the Script Works:
The Advanced Golden and Death Crossover Indicator operates by continuously monitoring two key moving averages (MAs) on your chart: a short-term (50-period) SMA and a long-term (200-period) SMA. Here's a step-by-step breakdown of its functionality:
Crossover Detection:
Golden Cross: When the short-term MA crosses above the long-term MA, indicating potential bullish momentum, the script identifies this as a Golden Cross signal.
Death Cross: Conversely, when the short-term MA crosses below the long-term MA, suggesting potential bearish momentum, the script flags this as a Death Cross signal.
Background Coloring:
Upon detecting a Golden Cross, the script changes the chart background to green, visually representing a bullish market condition.
Upon detecting a Death Cross, the chart background turns red, indicating bearish market conditions.
This color change remains in effect until the next crossover event, providing a continuous visual cue of the market's trend direction.
Success Rate Calculation:
The script calculates the historical success rate of these crossovers within a user-defined lookback period. This metric helps assess the reliability of the signals based on past performance.
Customization:
Users have the flexibility to adjust the lookback period for the success rate calculation, allowing for customization according to individual trading strategies and risk preferences.
Application in Trading Analysis:
Traders can use this indicator as part of their technical analysis toolkit to make informed decisions about entry and exit points. The visual cues from the continuous background coloring, combined with the success rate of past signals, provide a comprehensive overview of market trends and crossover reliability. It’s important for traders to combine this indicator with other analysis tools and consider broader market conditions to optimize their trading strategy.

Golden ZoneIntroducing the "Golden Zone" indicator, a powerful tool that simplifies the Fibonacci indicator by creating a clear Golden Zone to identify potential future price movements. The Golden Zone is a supply or demand zone that corresponds to the 61.8% and 50% Fibonacci retracement levels. These levels are important because they often mark zones where the price reacts, making it an essential area for traders to watch.
The script plots the Fibonacci levels in the background, enabling traders to identify potential support and resistance levels quickly. The Golden Zone is highlighted with a yellow filled area, making it easy to spot on the chart. Traders use this zone to identify areas where the stock price may react, either bouncing off the support level or encountering resistance at the resistance level.
For example, if a stock price is moving up and reaches the Golden Zone, a trader may look for signs of resistance and consider selling the stock if the price begins to move back down. Conversely, if a stock price is moving down and reaches the Golden Zone, a trader may look for signs of support and consider buying the stock if the price begins to move back up.
The "Golden Zone" indicator is highly versatile and can be used in all markets, whether you are a swing trader or a day trader. It can be combined with other strategies, such as an EMA crossover strategy or price action, or as an area of confluence.
In summary, the "Golden Zone" indicator is a must-have tool for traders looking to identify potential price movements and locate key support and resistance levels. Its user-friendly inputs and clear display make it a valuable addition to any trading arsenal.
So, the "Golden Zone" indicator is like a magic tool that helps people who trade in the stock market find valuable things to buy or sell. And with its ability to identify key support and resistance levels, it can help traders make better-informed decisions when buying or selling stocks.
I hope you like it!

Golden PocketGolden Pocket
This marks up the fibonacci retracement levels of 0.65 and 0.618 by default, these levels are often referred to as the golden pocket.
They are known by this because when price has an impulse either to the up or downside, price will end up retracing at some point. This Golden pocket often lines up with other means of confluence where it's considered a good entry price from the retrace.
Unlike standard fib retracement indicators, these boxes will extend with current price until they are hit. As well as this, there is a moving average filter which you can set to higher timeframes meaning that you can choose to only look for golden pockets which are following the higher time frame trend. You can easily monitor all of your settings by setting up just 1 alert.
Settings
You have the option to enable/disable the line which marks out the pivot points the fib is being calculated from, you can also change the colour and style of the line.
Below this you have the option to choose what colour the fib boxes are and what colour they change to once price hits it. If you want them to disappear change the colours opacity to 0%.
If you want to change the golden pocket levels you can do that by changing the 0.618 or 0.65 levels in the settings.
The pivot distance controls what part defines a pivot high or low, it must be the highest/lowest to the left/right of the pivot candle count.
MA filter will only accept golden pockets which are trending with the Moving average.
You can change all the settings of the Moving average which acts as a filter including which timeframe it is calculated on.
Alerts
Simply toggle this on int the settings and then click on the 3 dots next to the indicators name, 'add alert', leave the top boxes as they are, you can name the alert anything you like but once you confirm this, it will monitor all golden pockets on the particular asset and timeframe you are looking at. The alerts are set up to trigger as soon as price touches one of the boxes.
Use Cases
We like setting are moving average up on the daily timeframe and using the Moving average filter so we know we are only trading with the higher timeframe trend. From there we can set up alerts on any lower timeframe.
Feel free to use any part of this script in your own code, please just give us a mention so we can check out your contributions to the community as well!

Bitcoin Golden Pi CyclesTops are signaled by the fast top MA crossing above the slow top MA, and bottoms are signaled by the slow bottom MA crossing above the fast bottom MA. Alerts can be set on top and bottom prints. Does not repaint.
Similar to the work of Philip Swift regarding the Bitcoin Pi Cycle Top, I’ve recently come across a similar mathematically curious ratio that corresponds to Bitcoin cycle bottoms. This ratio was extracted from skirmantas’ Bitcoin Super Cycle indicator . Cycle bottoms are signaled when the 700D SMA crosses above the 137D SMA (because this indicator is closed source, these moving averages were reverse-engineered). Such crossings have historically coincided with the January 2015 and December 2018 bottoms. Also, although yet to be confirmed as a bottom, a cross occurred June 19, 2022 (two days prior to this article)
The original pi cycle uses the doubled 350D SMA and the 111D SMA . As pointed out this gives the original pi cycle top ratio:
350/111 = 3.1532 ≈ π
Also, as noted by Swift, 111 is the best integer for dividing 350 to approximate π. What is mathematically interesting about skirmanta’s ratio?
700/138 = 5.1095
After playing around with this for a while I realized that 5.11 is very close to the product of the two most numerologically significant geometrical constants, π and the golden ratio, ϕ:
πϕ = 5.0832
However, 138 turns out to be the best integer denominator to approximate πϕ:
700/138 = 5.0725 ≈ πϕ
This is what I’ve dubbed the Bitcoin Golden Pi Bottom Ratio.
In the spirit of numerology I must mention that 137 does have some things going for it: it’s a prime number and is very famously almost exactly the reciprocal of the fine structure constant (α is within 0.03% of 1/137).
Now why 350 and 700 and not say 360 and 720? After all, 360 is obviously much more numerologically significant than 350, which is proven by the fact that 360 has its own wikipedia page, and 350 does not! Using 360/115 and 720/142, which are also approximations of π and πϕ respectively, this also calls cycle tops and bottoms.
There are infinitely many such ratios that could work to approximate π and πϕ (although there are a finite number whose daily moving averages are defined). Further analysis is needed to find the range(s) of numerators (the numerator determines the denominator when maintaining the ratio) that correctly produce bottom and top signals.

Divina - Support and ResistanceGiven the positive feedback received on the first Dynamic Support/Resistance script, I've decided to rewrite it on Pine Script v5 and publish it with open source code.
The main Divina area (box) is derived from change in price and volume, while the other support and resistance levels are based on the golden ratio (Divina proportione) or Fibonacci numbers.
The box will start to paint if the previous closed bar satisfy a condition and it will be never be repainted in the future. Anyway the box and the levels will be extended until a new signal is detected.
The Divina Support and Resistance will help you to find good price zones on wich the market might take trading decision. It is not a strategy by per se, it should be used with other good trading techniques.
SMA PredictionThis indicator predicts future moving average (SMA) values assuming the prices remains at configured level (-50% to +50%).

Golden/Death Cross Predictor (by Alex L.)Golden/Death Cross indicator to picture if we're in a Bull or Bear trend, but it's much more - it indicates a potential upcoming golden/death cross, draws a potential continuation of the moving averages to indicate when it might occur, shows a 4-hourly cross which can often alert of a potential trend reversal, and is multi timeframe!
Potential Golden/Death Cross Mark - shows a potential upcoming golden/death cross (with approximate % for its occurrence as a hint).
Potential Golden/Death Cross Projection - shows a potential continuation of the MAs to visually illustrate when the potential cross might occur.
Actual Golden/Death Cross Mark - all previous golden/death crosses are marked on chart with a green/red "X" (which is when indicator's "Short Term MA" crosses "Long Term MA" up or down).
Actual 4-hourly Golden/Death Cross Mark - shows latest golden/death cross on 4-hourly timeframe (regardless of chart's timeframe), which can alert of potential higher timeframe trend reversal.
Multi Timeframe - you can set indicator's timeframe having chart in different timeframe.

Multi Timeframe EMA Golden Ropes [SOMMI 1.0 EDIT]Come and try out my famous Golden Ropes 💛💛💛💛
When a boxer is in the ring, they lean on the ropes for safety. And I provide this technique here, to you for free! 🥊 🏆
...
How SOMMI uses his Golden Ropes...
It is simple 200 period EMA.
Be bullish when price is above it, and be bearish when price is below it.
This is meant to establish a bias, and not a strategy by itself.
Execution
- You can use this with a strategy such as Stochastics, RSI or MACD. 💚
- For example, when we're above the Golden Ropes, look for "dips" to buy, using your indicator 🧡
- And when we are below the Golden Ropes, look for "peaks" to sell. 💙
- Make sure you use a stop which is just beyond the Golden Ropes, if you are close to it.
...
Two of my favorite scalping strategies...
STRATEGY #1:
- The market is trending one way (example: Down) and then comes back and touches the Golden Rope and holds there .
- This is a great selling opportunity, most indicators will tell you to sell at this point. Lean on the Golden ropes!
STRATEGY #2:
- The market is slowly grinding upwards and comes back near the Golden Ropes, and holds.
- Buy the dip, and put a stop beyond the Golden Ropes. 💛
BONUS!!
STRATEGY #3:
- The market has been grinding one way for a long time, on your selected time-frame. In this example, imagine it's been going up...
- It comes back towards the Golden Ropes and CUTS right through it on the downside.
- Sell through the Golden Rope, with a stop just above it.
- You MUST have a good price on this strategy, if you are too late and miss it, avoid FOMO and wait for the next trade!

True Golden Cross by -Westy-
The “Golden Cross” of the 50 and 200 day SMA is not the most accurate combination profit-wise.
Testing of 1750 combinations over 300 years of data across 16 global markets revealed that the EMA produces better results than the SMA and the best settings are that of a 13 / 48 EMA Crossover.
