According to defipulse there is now a record $1B worth of eth locked in defi. This is basically the original primary use case for eth that led it to huge valuations, that it could be the backbone for real world finance and insurance applications.
This is what will bring eth out of the perception that it's only good for little web games like crypto kitties and into the house hold usage. The amount of eth being locked by defi is accelerating upward and this is the primary reason why I think the hugely aggressive elliot count on the chart which went from 75 to 375 was nothing more than a 1 wave of a MUCH larger impulse that will last several years.
For me the only question is not if I want to be long eth but how much leverage do I want to use?
At the moment I am only using 1x leverage, which is to say none. My account is almost entirely topped off with eth accumulated at sub $200 prices. I do not intend to sell any of it even though I strongly expect to eth to dump pretty hard at some point during march.
I will use that to scale into 3x leveraged positions using the ETHBULL token which provides a type of leverage that is impervious to margin calls and will allow me to ride through any and all choppiness.
We're quickly reaching a point where the lazier a trader is the better they will do. The more a trader goes in and out of positions the more likely the market will shoot past what they think is possible and they will only end up worsening their overall average.
Once I make the transition to 3x leverage my goal is to hold tight and not get distracted by anything other than major 6 month signals and huge elliot wave targets.
If McAfee starts running his mouth that also might prompt me to hit the sell button. Hopefully he'll stay quiet for the next six months at least.
