OPAL - Sense→ Hi everyone, very proud to publish my unique leading oscillator ! ←
Sense is a "leading indicator" : it shows what can happen in the future, meanwhile a lagging indicator like MAs shows past sentiment.
Sense diverging with Price ? Care at the reversal !
It can be a great tool to upgrade your timings, after a divergence for example, to snipe reversals or to find Trend entries.
This tool is used for sniping in our levels trading setup (in our trading community)
Sense is made of everything you know about common indicators :
RSI/STOCH/STOCHRSI/MFI/RVSI/PZO/VZO/MOMENTUM/VOLUMES/UO
>>> Basically shows situations where almost all the known indicators reach interesting points in Overbought and Oversold zones
Signals provided :
*Visible and Hidden Minor OB/OS Crosses (Small Arrows)
*Visible and Hidden Major OB/OS Crosses (Bigger Arrows)
*Visible and Hidden Major and Minor Confluence in OB/OS Zones (Rockets/Blood)
*Background Smart Coloring when price reaches OB/OS Zones :
- blue/purple = entering OB/OS Zones
- green/red = extrem multiple OB/OS situation
*Coloration of Middle Line based on std Price Deviation
*Smart Divergences spotting : applied level filter to get divergences that reached OB/OS Zones at least once.
Divergences are scanned twice for confirmation<
*Full alerting system on :
- Full signals = blood and rockets
- Half signals = bigger arrows
- Minor signals = small arrows
- Dual Divergences = on both oscillators (slow & fast)
1) What is the curve i see on Sense ? => It is my homemade oscillator, described above
2) What are thoses Zones around the curve ? => Overbought/Oversold Zones
3) What are those dots on the curve ? => When the oscillator crosses its Triggerline
4) What are those little arrows ? => Printing minor Overbought/Oversold situations
5) What are those bigger arrows ? => Printing major Overbought/Oversold situations
6) What are those Blood dots/ Rockets ? => Printing Confluence situations in Overbought/Oversold Zones
7) Why is background coloring ? => I applied smart coloration based on oscillators location (see above coloration meaning)
8) What are those lines between curve spikes ? => Situations when Price and oscillator are doing different moves, basically divergences, meaning a correction can happen sooner or later
Should be strong on almost every timeframe !
Always backtest, watch, then use or not in your trading strategy.
If you like my work, leave a like :)
Hoping you success !
Adaptive Moving Average (AMA)Adaptive Moving Average (AMA) Technical Indicator is used for constructing a moving average with low sensitivity to price series noises and is characterized by the minimal lag for trend detection. This indicator was developed and described by Perry Kaufman in his book "Smarter Trading".
One of disadvantages of different smoothing algorithms for price series is that accidental price leaps can result in the appearance of false trend signals. On the other hand, smoothing leads to the unavoidable lag of a signal about trend stop or change. This indicator was developed for eliminating these two disadvantages.
Dash System with RSI/MFI/Stoch MTFHere I am providing you Improved single system to get all components to take better and smarter trading decisions and improve your trading with
a) Dashboard - to gauge market sentiment across all TF.
b) VWAP – to get idea about trend and fair value of market.
c) BB – to get idea about volatility and contraction/expansion in price.
1.Gauge Sentiment across timeframe for various indicators in single dashboard.
RSI - to get the idea about relative price strength across all TFs.
MFI- gives idea whether trend is supported by volume or not across all TFs.
STOCH – IT is a range bound momentum oscillator. It is designed to display the location of the close compared to the high/low range over a user defined number of periods. You can use STOCH for Identifying overbought and oversold levels and also for identifying bull and bear set ups or signals across all TFs.
with this dashboard , you will get complete sentiment of market on your screen whether you use lower to upper TF or upper to lower TF approach. you can see market behavior and sentiment with these all in one dashboard across all TFs.
2.Dashboard better be used with MA or vwap to get trend direction and just for that this system has
a) VWAP- a technical analysis tool used to measure the average price weighted by volume . It's similar to a moving average in that when price is above VWAP , prices are rising and when price is below VWAP , prices are falling. VWAP is primarily used by technical analysts to identify market trend.
b) Bollinger Band - This is an oscillator meaning that it operates between or within a set range of numbers or parameters. the standard parameters for Bollinger Bands are a 20 day period with standard deviations 2 steps away from price above and below the SMA line. Essentially Bollinger Bands are a way to measure and visualize volatility . As volatility increases, the wider the bands become. Likewise, as volatility decreases, the gap between bands narrows.
Volatility can generally be seen as a cycle. Typically periods of time with low volatility and steady or sideways prices (known as contraction) are followed by period of expansion. Expansion is a period of time characterized by high volatility and moving prices. Periods of expansion are then generally followed by periods of contraction. It is a cycle in which traders can be better prepared to navigate by using Bollinger Bands because of the indicators ability to monitor ever changing volatility .
Read more about it on Bollinger Bands (BB).
And as a bonus added ability for BB to use SMA or EMA line as basis as per your comfort.
2. Added feature to change location of dashboard on chart, now you can place it on top left, top right, bottom left, bottom right corner of chart as per your comfort.
3. ability to hide/show for all TFs.
Now you can on/off 5min, 15 min, 30 min, 60 min, 4 hour, daily ,weekly and monthly TF column if you do not use it. you can keep and work with TFs as per your comfort and liking.
4. Added feature to hide/show indicators, MFI , Stoch , VWAP and BB Bands
Now you can on/off indicator s MFI , Stoch , VWAP and BB bands if you don't need them on dashboard as per your need.
Hope IT helps to take better trading decisions and improve your trading experience.
Trend OptimizerWhat is this?
This horizontal trend color and vertical trend bar is a trend identification to optimize your positioning in the market. Colors helps you to understand the trend easily, spontaneously.
The indicators & Strategies?
1. A horizontal trend color which represents the medium term trend. The color change is based on the price position towards moving average. We exclude the moving averaged from chart area so the chart area will be clean and you'll have an easier interpretation. This trend color helps you to understand the major trend as simple as you see navigation maps in your smartphone. When the trend color changed from the long red into white, then green, then blue, it indicates a bottom reversal. This module will work best with out other module: Trend Optimizer Module and Momentum line Module.
2. A vertical trend bar represents long term trend. Bars that above the axis is an uptrend bar. If it occurs, the long term bullish trend is exists. Bars below the axis is a downtrend bar. If it occurs, the long term bearish trend is exists. If there is no bars (empty), means the long term trend is weakened but the trend still as same as the last bars occurrence.
Benefit for you:
You'll have a guidance the existing trend and the trend progress from time to time.
If you combine this script with our other two module: Profit Trader module & Momentum Line Module, You'll have a complete template to analyze both trend and swing strategies.

Fair Value Gap by AncheIndicator that plots boxes for fair value gaps (also known as imbalances or inefficiencies)
fair value gaps are a very useful concept in price action trading, as they provide a trader with information about where a lot of orders were injected creating this inefficiency in the market. This inefficiency can become a magnet for price in the future to resolve this inefficiency as there are many resting orders. A trader can use this information to target a fair value gap, or to look for a potential entry for a long/short making it a good POI.
you have the possible to extend boxes to the right of the screen or to edit their width
fair value gaps tend to get mitigated, to restore the balance. This indicator gives you the option to define a mitigation using a full fill or a 0.5 fill. You can also define what to use for mitigation: candle bodies or candle wicks.
there are some other indicators for fair value gaps, although I haven't found one that let's me define a 0.5 mitigation, this indicator suits my trading style

PSv5 Color Magic and Chart Theme SimulatorKEEP YOUR COINS FOLKS! I DON'T NEED THEM, DON'T WANT THEM. Many other talented authors on TV deserve them.
INTRODUCTION:
This is my "PSv5 Color Magic and Chart Theme Simulator" displayed using Pine Script version 5.0. The purpose of this PSv5 colorcator is to show vivid colors that are most suitable in my opinion for modifying or developing Pine scripts. Whether you are new to Pine or an experienced Pine poet, this should aid you in developing indicators with stunning color from the provided color list that is easily copied and pasted into any novel script you should possess. Whichever colors you choose, and how, is up to your imagination's capacity.
COMMENTARY:
I have a thesis. Pine essentially is a gigantor calculator with a lot of programmable bells and whistles to perform intense analytics. Zillions of numbers per day are blended up into another cornucopia of numbers to analyze. The thing is, ALL of those numbers are moot unless we can informatively portray them in various colorized forms with unique methods to point out significant numeric events. By graphically displaying them with specific modes of operation, only then do these numbers truly make any sense to us and become quantitatively beneficial.
I have to admit... I hate numbers. I never really liked them, even before I knew what an ema() was. Some days I almost can't stand them, and on occasion I feel they deserve to be flushed down the toilet at times. However, I'm a stickler for a proper gauge of measurements. Numbers are a mental burden, but they do have "purpose and meaning". That's where COLOR comes in! By applying color in specific ways in varying dynamic forms, we can generate smarter visual aids from these numerics. Numbers can be "transformed" into something colorful it wasn't before, into a tool, like a hammer. But we don't need a hammer, we need an impressive jack hammer for BIG problem solving that we could never achieve in the not to distant past.
As time goes on, we analytically measure more, and more, and more each year. It's necessary to our continual evolution. That's one significant difference between us and cave men, and the pertinent reason why we are quickly evolving as a species, while animals haven't. Humankind is gifted to enumerate very well AND blessed to see in color. We use it for innumerable things in the technological present for purpose and pleasure. Day in and day out, we take color for granted, because it's every where we can look. The fact is, color is the most important apparatus in humankind's existence EVER. We wouldn't have survived this far without it.
By utilizing color to it's grand potential, greater advancements can be attained while simultaneously being enjoyed visually. Once color is transformed from it's numeric origins into applicable tools, we can enjoy the style, elegance, and QUALITATIVE nature of the indication that can be forged. Quantities can't reveal all. Color on the other hand has a handy "quality" factor to it, often revealing things we can't ordinarily recognize. When high quality tools provide us with obtained goals, that's when we will realize how magical color truly is, always has been, and shall always be.
The future emerging economies and future financial vessels of people around the globe are going to be dependent on the secured construction of intelligent applications with a rock solid color foundation, not just math alone. I have no doubt about that. I can envision that with my eyes closed. To make an informed choice, it should be charted or graphed somehow prior to a final executive decision to trade. Going back to abysmal black and white with double decimal points placed next to cartoons within extinction doomed newspapers is not a viable option any more.
OBSERVATIONS AND UTILITY:
One thing you will notice is the code is very dense. Looks almost hideous right? Well, the variable naming is lengthy, but it's purpose is to be self explanatory, even for those who don't know how to program, YET. I'm simply not a notation enthusiast. My main intention was to provide clearly identifiable variables from their origin of assignment to their intended destination of use, clearly visible for anyone visiting. The empowerment of well versed words that are easier to understand, is a close rival to the prominent influence color has.
Secondly, I'm displaying hline() and label.new() as prime candidates to exemplify by demonstration how the "Power of Color" can be embraced with the "Power of Pine". Color in Pine has been extensively upgraded to serve novel purposes to accomplish next generation indicators that do and WILL come to exist. New functions included with PSv5 are color.rgb(), color.from_gradient(), color.r(), color.g(), color.b(), and color.t() to accompany color.new() in our mutual TV adventures. Keep in mind, the extreme agility of color also extends to line.new(), the "entirely new" linefill.new(), table.new(), bgcolor() and every other function that may utilize color.
There's a wide range of adjustability in Settings to make selections to see how they perform on different backgrounds, with their size and form. As you curiously toy with those, you're going to notice how some jump out like laser beams while others don't. Things that aren't visually appealing, still have very viable purposes, even if they don't stand out in the crowd. Often, that's preferable. The important thing is that when pertinent information relative to indication is crucial, you can program it with distinction from an assortment of a potential 1.67 million colors that can be created in Pine. "These" are my chosen favorite few, and I hope you adopt them.
PURPOSES:
For those of you who are new to Pine Script, this also may help you understand color hex/rgb and how it is utilized in Pine in a most effective manner. The most skilled of programmers can garner perks as well. There is countless examples of code diversity present here that are applicable in other scripts with adequate mutation. Any member has the freedom use any of this code in this script any way they see fit. It's specifically intended for all. There is absolutely no need for accreditation for any of this code reuse ever, in the present case. Don't worry about, I'm not.
The color_tostring() will be most valuable in troubleshooting color when using color.rgb() and becoming adept with it. I'm not going to be able to use color.rgb() without it. Chameleon indicators of the polychromatic variety are most likely going to be fine tuned with color_tostring() divulging it's results to label.new() or even table.new() maybe. One the best virtues of this script in chart, is when you hover over the generated labels, there's a hidden gift for those who truly wish to learn the intricate mechanics of diverse color in Pine. Settings has informative tooltips too.
AFTERTHOUGHTS:
Colors are most vibrant on the "Black Chart" which is the default, but it doesn't currently exist as a chart theme. With the extreme luminous intensity of LCDs in millicandela( mcd ), you may notice "Light" charts may saturate the colors making charts challenging to analyze. Because of this, I personally use "Dark Charts" and design my indicators specifically for these. I hope this provides inspiration for the future developers who are contemplating the creation of next generation indicators and how color may enhance their usefulness.
When available time provides itself, I will consider your inquiries, thoughts, and concepts presented below in the comments section, should you have any questions or comments regarding this indicator. When my indicators achieve more prevalent use by TV members , I may implement more ideas when they present themselves as worthy additions. Have a profitable future everyone!
MTF Market Structure Highs and LowsThe indicator marks the last fractal highs and lows (W,D,4H and 1H options) to help determine current market structure. The script was created to help with directional bias but also as a MTF visual aid for stop hunts/liquidity raids.
Liquidity areas are where we assume trader's stop losses would be when buying or selling. Liquidity lies above and below swing points and institutions need liquidity to fill large orders.
Monitor price action as it hits these areas for a potential reversal trade.

[Wantrader] Volatility Breakout Strategy V3This is the Wantrader's volatility breakthrough version 9,
which developed Larry Williams' volatility breakthrough strategy.
The following elements are included.
- Entry : Enter the market price, calculated by the volatility (TR) * ratio (K) of the previous day.
- Exit : Based on the selected time frame, closing the closing price, closing the market price,
- Stop loss: When it breaks through the entry price and buys, returns to the market price (the previous day's closing price) and changes to bear candle, stop loss.
- Long/short comparison: When short version is selected, it shows the result of short instead of long.
This strategy is a low-level strategy.
When used in practice, it can be stronger and more compliant than expected, but it is not smart.
I recommend you to develop a more hidden edge and use it as a drawing paper to create your own strategy.
Through the option settings,
I'll check if it's right for my first salary or at different times.
It will be an opportunity to think about why there is a difference in profits between Long and Short.
Also, the result shows the big difference between having and not having a loss.
I hope it will be an opportunity to break the relationship in the future.

PIVOT EDGE - KATANAIntroduction to the Indicator " PIVOT EDGE - KATANA " . Katana means the sword in Japanese that the legendary samurai warriors used which was sharp , swift and strong to take on any opponent and gave an edge to win. This Indicator also has some of the unique features and hence it is aptly named so.
The Foundation layout for this indicator is based on PIVOT's which are nothing but the most important levels that the price has respected in the past. The values for the pivots are derived from the key attributes of the price in any timeframe such as the OPEN, HIGH, LOW and CLOSE. These define the mood of the price and where it intends to move in relation to the previous range formed. Earlier HIGH - LOW i.e the RANGE indicates the possible movement that a stock can make in the current session and as per the calculated pivots we can possible find out the tentative supports and resistances. In addition to this indicator, It is advisable to use the price action theory which helps in taking a right decision for entries.
This indicator by itself is complete in nature, i.e it guides the user for possible entry levels and the projected targets that we can achieve and also the likely stop loss limit in case the price reverses. So beforehand even before entering into a trade position, the user can ascertain what can be his loss or max profit and then he can chose an optimum position size for favorable results.
The beauty of this Indicator lies in the fact that it can be used for all types of trading like Scalping, Intra day, Swing or Positional and Investments also. It works on all timeframes and across all market segments like EQUITY, COMMODITIES , FUTURES , OPTIONS , FOREX etc.
This indicator can be used for any exchange and any time zone also without any changes or adjustments needed.
Now let us understand the features of this Indicator in detail.
TIMEFRAME - It has options to choose between Day, week and month as timeframe. By default it is set to Day timeframe
DISPLAY MAJOR LEVELS - These are the important support and resistance levels calculated based on the past price data. Most important ones are marked in BOLD RED and BOLD GREEN between which the price tends to move generally.
Apart from these, We have breakout level marked in light green and if price breaks this level we can expect targets upto extended levels and beyond marked in blue.
we also have breakdown level marked in light red and if price breaks this level we can expect targets down up to extended levels and below it marked in blue.
DISPLAY HIDDEN LEVELS - These levels are intermediate supports and resistances that can be used whenever the present day indicated range is very wide. Whenever we have an explosive moments in market the range of that day is very huge and so he next day support and resistance band becomes very wide indicating the sideways movement day within that range. And on those days we can switch on the hidden levels and the price respects these levels and most of the days it is inside this range only.
DISPLAY PREVIOUS HIGH / LOW / CLOSE - I have included Daily / Weekly levels. It is important to know the earlier highs / lows and close since price respects it very must just like support and resistance .
MID OF PEMA - This is an important EMA based indicator which potentially indicates curves of support and resistance during retracements or pullbacks. If the curve is breached then the trend is reversed and the price will tend to move to the next pivots . You can use this as trailing stop loss.
CPR - Central Pivot range, An Important tool for the CPR purists. I am using this particular CPR , TC , BC Band as a colored band indicating whether it is ascending or descending bias. The Band color is GREEB when the CPR is ascending up compared to yesterday and RED when is descending. By the width and narrowness of CPR you can ascertain the trading range and this information is available right after the market close so that you can plan your trades for tomorrow.
SENTIMETER LINE - Gives you a glimpse of the market sentiment at the pre open. Based on this you can know if there is a shift in the sentiment of Buyers / sellers and if price is accepted or rejected. This level acts as an important support / resistance level.
VWAP - Volume weighted average price , One of the widely used and maybe the only Indicator used on charts by most pro traders and big institutions. It gives you an Idea of the volumes that are getting traded in huge quantity and will act as a magnet attracting and also repelling price.
CANDLE MID POINT - This is small feature that's is very important but gets ignored because of lack of knowledge or awareness by traders. Most of the times the mid of the explosive or momentum candles becomes the last line of defense for Buyers / sellers and you can see the battle happening exactly at this point.
THE TURNING POINT - As the name suggests, most of the times price gets turned away from this because lot of fresh and unfilled orders are waiting to be executed at this level. So it becomes an important profit booking or fresh entry level
SCALPERS MAGIC CURVE - This is a high speed curve which has zero lag and very dynamic in nature which reacts quickly to the change in price. Go long when it is trending up and Blue in color, close trade when it turns orange and makes a U turn and vice versa. Most suited for scalpers who trade in 2 to 5 mins time frame. When you want to use this, switch off all other below parameters.
SMART RIBBON - The best and the new unique feature of this curve. As compared my other previous Indicators which had PEMA curve as the base for trend Identification, Here i am introducing this ribbon concept which is much faster reacting to the change in trend and gives you very early entry and also early exits so that you can get the maximum gains from the trend. In a way you can catch the fall right from the start till the end and exit at the end of the trend. Blue for uptrend and Orange for Downtrend.
MARKET BIAS INDICATOR - Again one more unique feature introduced in this Indicator. This feature will paint the chart background in Light blue for BUY ZONE And light yellow for SELL ZONE. You can look to BUY or SELL based on the background color and hence it prevents you from entering trade in wrong or opposite direction. You can avoid trade when there is too much crisscross of colors indicating sideways or range bound market.
BUY SELL TRIGGERS - This features is built on smart logic based on price action / Candle patterns / pivots and my trading experience. It colors the candle bars into LIME GREEN / PINK whenever Buying / Selling opportunities are seen. This is also paired with the alert system which can be used to set automatic sound and desktop notifications. Based on the type of account you hold in trading view you can set alerts for upto 400 stocks.
SMART CANDLE COLORING - If you don't want to do the work of finding the trend and looking for right entry location and exit levels, then you can simply use this feature which makes trading look so simple and easy. This is like an AUTO PILOT mode or CRUISE mode where it colors the candles in only BUY ZONE color ( LIME GREEN ) or SELL ZONE color ( PINK ). Take entry above the high of the first candle and be in the trade as long as you see the opposite color. When you want to use this feature, switch off the BUY SELL TRIGGER.
It is advised that you first learn how this indicator works by back testing historical data and also forward testing in live market by way of paper trading before you deploy real money.
IMPORTANT NOTE : This indicator does not guarantee any favorable results nor protect your from any loss. You own the complete risk of your trades. It is suggested that you use this indicator and do back testing for considerable period to understand how it works the the potential win rate it can give. If you have any doubts or need any clarifications of assistance in understanding, you can message me and I will try to help.

CMT's ProGo indicator v.2This was inspired by William's ProGo, which is an oscillator with a fast line based on today's open minus close compared to a slow line derived from yesterday's open minus close. These are tied to the 14 day SMA in both cases. William's hypothesis is that smart money makes its decisions based on what's happening now and dumb money makes their decisions slower. My hypothesis is that smart money reacts faster and in a more straightforward manner based on current price action while dumb money takes even longer than WIlliam's factored due to overthinking things. To reflect this, I've tied the pro line to the 1 SMA and the amateur line to the 21 SMA then changed the formula for the amateur line to open divided by close. That's a really cute story and all, but let's throw out all of the smart money/dumb money stuff and strap our boots to reality.
How to use:
1.) What we're looking at in the end is an examination of the relationship between price action and the 21 SMA. Since we're exploring rate of change and momentum, divergences should be relevant, right? And divergences are relevant in this indicator. These divergences are pretty good and tend to work in harmony with the trend, though can signal reversal points.
2.) This is not a real time oscillator. It involves three levels of derivation. Sometimes it'll provide leading signals and sometimes it'll show lagging signals because we're comparing the present against the past through a filter.
3.) I've noticed that this oscillator can be used to generate angled trend lines in some cases before they become evident through price action. This is interesting. What you'll do is slap some trend lines onto the oscillator, copy those then paste them onto the price action chart, copy them a few times to create a channel and see what's what. Horizontal support and resistance on the oscillator seems to translate into future price action S/R as well. THAT's interesting.
4.) On lower time frames, this indicator will do a pretty good job of letting you know whether you're in a bearish or bullish trend.
5.) Because of how the oscillator is formulated, it only recognizes Bitcoin as either bullish or ranging on higher time frames and will only ever register bearish on lower time frames. I don't think this will ever change, but if it does register BTC as bearish on higher time frames, I'd be real worried about Bitcoin.
6.) You'll notice that over time, volatility in the oscillator increases. Neat, huh? Yeah, it'll increase as market cap does. Take care and have fun with that.
v2.0 Improvements:
Divergences have been added.

RexDog Average with ATRBam-- look what Rex did. A RexDog Average with ATR bands-- he's going insane. Simple but powerful.
This indicator includes the RexDog average but provides you with the ability to plot (and customize) both above and below ATR calculated bands.
With this indicator you can display all 3 or any combination of the bands: the RexDog Avg, Adding ATR Upper or the Subtracting ATR Below.
To remove a plot or customize color and line size go to the style options.
Before we get detailed with this version you can customize the default average factor of the RexDog Avg (default is 6). More tips on this below.
How This Works
Just as with the RexDog Average we take the 6 ATR data points (200, 100, 50, 24, 9, 5). We then create an average by dividing by 6. But wait there's more...
With this indicator you can customize independently the above and below bands via a float value for precision. 6 is the default (you can customize by increments at 0.25 or input value you like 1-20).
Now this works opposite how you might think but you'll get it once you start changing the numbers. For instance, editing the above band lowering the ATR factor will raise the band.
RexDog Avg Factor
With this release you are able to change the default average factor (6) to anything you want. You'll find though going too high or low from the default won't get the best results. The default increment change is 0.1 but you can enter any float value you like between 1-20.
The Original RexDog Average Overview
Yes, simple—the RexDog Average is a bias moving average indicator. The purpose is to provide the overall momentum bias you should have when trading an instrument. It works across all markets and all timeframes.
Usage:
Price above the RexDog AVG = long momentum bias
Price below the RexDog AVG = short momentum bias
With the ATR addition most likely your usage will be similar to Bollinger Bands. While not the same as in deviations much of the same principles might apply, especially with customization.
*Note: we have banned the word “trend” in the RexDog Trading Method.
Additional Usage Advice:
If price rips through the average your momentum bias should probably change. 80% of the time when price moves through the RexDog Average it will come back and test the area around average within 1-2 bars. 20% of the time it does not. The momentum is so strong in that direction so look for a 50-70% tests of the bar that impulse through the RexDog Average.
If you are using the RexDog Trading Method by default if the price is above the average and you are short you are in a fade trade. The momentum trade would be long. Of course reverse if price is below.
On multiple time frames. Of course, one timeframe can be long bias and a lower timeframe can be short bias. Which one do you use? Both—if your in a short trade using lower timeframe and with the bias of the average your in a momentum trade—but on the higher timeframe your aware you are essential fading the overall momentum.
Background:
Rex and I searched high and low for one simple thing. A moving average (or combination of some) that we could use to form our momentum bias that worked for all timeframes and all markets we trade.
We tried and tested them all. Even went down the path of ribbons and various other types of hybrid EMA /MA derivatives. Nothing had a high enough accuracy or mathematically was reliable that we could say with a high probability that it was on the right side of the momentum.
We almost stopped and landed on using the true and tested 200 MA—but we found through extensive tests that using the 200MA or EMA you’re often late to the party. Look you don’t need to be the first one in the trade but having a heads up sure helps.
To quote one of the best financial movies of the modern era—Margin Call:
“There are three ways to make a living in this business: be first, be smarter, or cheat… it sure is a hell of a lot easier to be first”. The RexDog Average used properly enables you to be first or damn near close.
Under the Hood:
This is so simple most reading this will discount it. You might even scoff and berate Rex for wasting your time. But you would be wrong. The RexDog Average has been tested across all markets—FOREX, Crypto, Equities, Futures (even tick charts), and even the Penguin population in Antarctica.
The RexDog Average is an average of 6 simple moving averages: 200, 100, 50, 24, 9, 5.
Yes, that’s it.
Quantum RenkoIf you are a more experienced trader, you might have come across the word “renko” or have seen it in trading forums and communities. It refers to a Japanese charting technique that is extremely popular among traders because of the particular way it plots price action. And it does this by removing time, and in effect focuses on price action delivering smooth trends and clear congestion phases. More importantly however it reveals momentum since it is independent of time and so as the market speeds up, so does the chart, and vice versa. This is a concept you would not see in a normal time-based chart.
Each bar is created when the price exceeds the previous bar’s high or low by a predefined amount or what we call the box size or brick size. This gives the renko chart a pleasant appearance of equally sized bars running up or down in 45-degree angles. This delivers some great advantages.
First, it allows traders to focus solely on price as the chart filters out all minor price fluctuations and market “noise”. This makes it easier for traders not only to identify strong moves but also to spot significant turning points, and so deploy smarter entries and exits.
Second, a renko chart helps traders in what is probably one of the most difficult aspects of trading, namely staying in a position once a move is underway. The renko chart does this by displaying price momentum as it speeds up and slows down and it does this because a renko chart is devoid of time.
Finally, because the bricks are drawn at 45-degree angles from each other, the charts are easier to read and to analyze.
Unfortunately, on TradingView the renko chart is extremely limited for free users and the Quantum Renko indicator offers a great solution with some exciting new features.
Dual Mode
You can use the Quantum Renko indicator for TradingView in 2 different ways.
Standard
When applied, the Quantum Renko indicator appears below the main chart and creates a renko chart representation of the time-based chart above. Please note that in Standard mode, and since renko charts are devoid of time, the time x-axis of the chart does not apply to the renko chart displayed. Right off the bat, the Dynamic Renko indicator takes the time-based chart above and calculates the best box size that matches the current timeframe then uses it to create the renko bars below. The computed box size is displayed at the right-hand side of the renko chart’s last bar. It can also accept a fixed box size by entering it in the indicator’s Fixed Box Size input.
Time-accurate
The renko chart is a powerful approach to adopt as an intra-day trader, as it smooths out the price action into a series of blocks or steps, and so delivers a uniform chart which is easy to analyse. And of course, being a non time-based chart, it reveals momentum as the price action speeds up and slows down which is invaluable when scalping. However, there is a problem. As it is a non time-based chart it can be tricky to align this with a time based chart as the two are not synchronised. So, where a trader is running the renko alongside a time-based chart using one to analyse the other and vice versa, it is almost impossible to align the two correctly. This is even more significant when using indicators on the time-based chart such as volume, third party proprietary indicators or those which are freely available. So, what’s the answer?
The Time-accurate renko indicator solves the issue instantly. It is unique and as far as we know nobody has developed such an indicator to provide a solution to this problem. So how does it work? And as you might expect the answer is all in the name. We call it the Time-accurate renko indicator because that’s what it is. In simple terms it aligns the bricks it builds with the time-based chart above. So where for example the time-based price action moves into congestion, so does the time accurate renko and will build a horizontal wall of bricks at that level until the price action breaks away, at which point the Time-accurate renko begins building in the normal way with bricks which rise or fall with the trend. What the chart then delivers is a wonderful picture of clear levels of support and resistance as you might see when a brick wall is under construction, helping traders to establish breakaway price action which all the time is mirrored on the time-based chart with the chosen indicators. What makes the Time-accurate renko even more powerful is the option to select either your own choice of brick size or alternatively the optimised version which means you are trading in harmony with the market. The optimal setting is derived from calculations based on average true range and delivers the perfect brick size for all markets, timeframes and session times, so there is no more guesswork. The indicator does it all for you. However, if you prefer to set your own brick size this is available also.
And the best news of all, is that the Time-accurate renko is included with the Standard renko, so you have two indicators for the price of one and can switch from one to the other at any time or perhaps run both. The choice is yours with this unique combination of renko indicators.

Simple Portfolio TrackerThis is just a simple portfolio tracker that i started to play around with - i'm sure there are smarter ways to do this, but i chose the simpler way :) -- please feel free to use this, or consider it as a starting point to your own indicator.
i will come back later and add some more stuff once i get time. for example, show the total value, recent change, P&L % ..etc
So the simple idea is to track a portfolio of few positions and watch how the total portfolio and the PnL changes over time as the price of the individual holdings move up and down. it can be added to any chart.
The code is currently set to track 5 positions - settings allow to enter if the positions is used or not, symbol, amount and cost price..
** note: more positions can be added by editing the code and copying and pasting the marked "position block" that contains the input statements and the calculations, then changing/replacing the position identifier (_1, _2, ..etc) in all variables with new number..
--- don't forget to add these extra positions you insert in the code to the formula lines that calculate the totals
i tried to make this as easy as possible in the code. the code includes a sample portfolio as default values just to help "demo" how this works
the input is made easy, thanks to the recent addition of the "inline" feature in the input() statement
i don't know if some traders will find this useful ?? or if more about how to use it is needed.. let me know in the comments.. as i mentioned, i was just playing with the idea over the weekend so didn't really put a lot of work into it.
Credits and thanks to @boji1 for inspiring this :)
