The dollar failed to hold up gains against the haven-franc as investors keep a close eye on the political and trade uncertainties. The Hong Kong protests add to the global concerns while the lack of more Sino-US trade news fades hopes over the near time deal. The pair hovers around September 2018 low. Supportive for the dollar could only be the SNB intervention in currency markets and the positive data on US retail sales, industrial production and Building permits due later in the week. Support is found at 0.9700 with the resistance set at 0.9800.
