Here we strictly looking at two possible algorithms.
Algorithm 1
Starts on August 13, 2014 - lasts for 936 days approximately with massive breakout around March 2, 2017
Here we are looking at long term trend and comparing it to what we have this time around. We see similarities in movement and sideways momentum with several bull traps along the way that we encounter. If we look at similar trend we're seeing from May 13, 2017 until today, we can clearly see that we are closely following the 2014-2017 trend. According to this algorithm we should see breakout during fourth quarter of 2019 with possible first leg up before that.
Algorithm 2
Starts on December 19, 2014 (which symbolizes first major bull run top) - lasts for 804 days approximately with breakout around March 2, 2017. With this trend we are starting from the very top of the last bull run until the start of the second one. Then we take the top of the 2017 bull run and run same time frame on it which put us at around March 14, 2020 or the end of the first quarter of next year. To me this is probably the most likely scenario just based on the amount of bullishness experts have for XRP by EO this Y.
Conclusion / Outcome
Based on this a safe bet would be to say that we should see a major breakout towards $10+ during fourth quarter of this year through first quarter of next year.
Based on the news, we should see some movement this year. There's no telling exactly when financial institutions will light up their corridors with RippleNet/Xrapid/XRP but most likely would be EOY or early next year.
Also an interesting thing to point out is that there have been a lot of talks about US hitting it's debt ceiling again early in September which logically should spark the public debate about devaluation of USD as well as other currencies around the world.
We have already seen major countries come out with a gold backed systems, and we know that many central banks of these countries have a direct or an indirect relationship to Ripple the company.
In addition we also seen numerous indications that countries are getting ready to make internal changed towards their payment structures to ensure a level playing field. This was highlighted numerously during G20 and IMF presentations over this year. What does this mean exactly? It means that we are close, but no matter who says it... There's no exact date for that implementation...
