Overview
The Zanger Volume Ratio (ZVR) is a powerful indicator designed to reveal market dynamics by comparing current cumulative volume to an average determined over a historical look-back period. It uses the concept of relative volume to not only highlight unusual volume spikes, but also uses color to illustrate how today's trading compares to typical levels. This unique method of volume analysis was popularized by Dan Zanger - a trader known for turning $10,775 into $18,000,000 in less than two years - by identifying key shifts in market interest and volume behavior.
Key Features
Volume Pacing Analysis:
The script calculates a volume delta by comparing the cumulative volume at any given moment to an average derived over a user-defined lookback period (Default 20-day). The resulting percentage difference offers a clear visualization and insight into unusual volume activity.
Dynamic Visual Representation:
Choose between either “Columns” or “Area” plot styles to display the percent difference. Additionally, you have the option to switch between a standard plot or a background color display, with customizable transparency, ensuring the indicator fits seamlessly with your chart’s aesthetics.
Dashboard Integration:
A simple dashboard table is displayed on the chart, showcasing the current ZVR value in real-time. With user-configurable position, text size, alignment, and color options, this feature ensures that the key metric is always visible and easy to interpret.
Why Use the Zanger Volume Ratio?
The ZVR is more than just a volume indicator. It acts as a window into market sentiment by highlighting days when trading interest intensifies. Many traders believe that an unusually high volume ratio may confirm trend strength or signal a reversal, making the indicator a valuable tool when used in conjunction with other technical analysis methods.
Whether you’re monitoring stocks, commodities, or forex markets, the Zanger Volume Ratio offers an accessible yet sophisticated method to decode volume dynamics. Its practical design and real-time visual feedback provide traders of all experience levels with critical data to spot high-potential setups.

On Balance Volume Oscillator of Trading Volume TrendOn Balance Volume Oscillator of Trading Volume Trend
Introduction
This indicator, the "On Balance Volume Oscillator of Trading Volume Trend," is a technical analysis tool designed to provide insights into market momentum and potential trend reversals by combining the On Balance Volume (OBV) and Relative Strength Index (RSI) indicators.
Calculation and Methodology
* OBV Calculation: The indicator first calculates the On Balance Volume, which is a cumulative total of the volume of up days minus the volume of down days. This provides a running tally of buying and selling pressure.
* RSI of OBV: The RSI is then applied to the OBV values to smooth the data and identify overbought or oversold conditions.
* Exponential Moving Averages (EMAs): Two EMAs are calculated on the RSI of OBV. A shorter-term EMA (9-period in this case) and a longer-term EMA (100-period) are used to generate signals.
Interpretation and Usage
* EMA Crossovers: When the shorter-term EMA crosses above the longer-term EMA, it suggests increasing bullish momentum. Conversely, a downward crossover indicates weakening bullish momentum or increasing bearish pressure.
* RSI Divergences: Divergences between the price and the indicator can signal potential trend reversals. For example, if the price is making new highs but the indicator is failing to do so, it could be a bearish divergence.
* Overbought/Oversold Conditions: When the RSI of OBV is above 70, it suggests the market may be overbought and a potential correction could be imminent. Conversely, when it is below 30, it suggests the market may be oversold.
Visual Representation
The indicator is plotted on a chart with multiple lines and filled areas:
* Two EMAs: The shorter-term EMA and longer-term EMA are plotted to show the trend of the OBV.
* Filled Areas: The area between the two EMAs is filled with a color to indicate the strength of the trend. The color changes based on whether the shorter-term EMA is above or below the longer-term EMA.
* RSI Bands: Horizontal lines at 30 and 70 mark the overbought and oversold levels for the RSI of OBV.
Summary
The On Balance Volume Oscillator of Trading Volume Trend provides a comprehensive view of market momentum and can be a valuable tool for traders. By combining the OBV and RSI, this indicator helps identify potential trend reversals, overbought and oversold conditions, and the strength of the current trend.
Note: This indicator should be used in conjunction with other technical analysis tools and fundamental analysis to make informed trading decisions.

Volume Performance Table (Weekdays Only)This is a volume performance table that compares the volume from the previous trading day to the average daily volume from the previous week, month, 3-month, 6-month, and 12-month period in order to show where the rate of change of volume is contributing to the price trend.
For example, if the price trend is bullish and volume is accelerating, that is a bullish confirmation.
If the price is bearish and volume is accelerating, that is a bearish confirmation.
If the price is bullish and volume is decelerating, that is a bearish divergence.
If the price is bearish and volume is decelerating, that is a bullish divergence.
This does not include weekend trading when applied to digital assets such as cryptocurrencies.
Volume ReversalsThe "Volume Reversals" indicator is a trading tool designed to identify potential buy and sell signals based on volume patterns.
Features
Filter Signals : Traders can enable or disable additional filtering of signals, which refines the conditions under which buy and sell labels are displayed.
Buy and Sell Labels: The indicator dynamically places labels on the chart to signify buy ("▲+") and sell ("▼+") opportunities. Buy labels appear at low points of bars with a green upward-pointing arrow, while sell labels appear at high points with a red downward-pointing arrow.
Customizable Alerts: Users can set alerts for buy and sell signals, receiving notifications when conditions match predefined patterns.
Logic Explained
Volume Comparison: The script examines a sequence of the last five volume bars to detect increasing or decreasing trends.
Price Action Analysis: Each volume bar is paired with a corresponding price action (bullish or bearish) from the same period.
Signal Conditions: A signal is generated under two scenarios:
Normal Conditions: Sequential increase/decrease in volume over three bars accompanied by bearish/bullish price action, followed by a dip in volume with a bullish/bearish bar.
Filtered Conditions (if filter is active): Requires all last four bars to be bearish/bullish, the most recent bar's volume to be less than the immediate previous, and then exceeds the volume two bars prior, closing bullish/bearish.
This indicator is suited for various assets and timeframes, especially in markets where volume plays a significant role in price dynamics.

Relative Volume (RV)Relative Volume take the volume at a given time of day and compares it to the average volume at that time of day. You can either use the current volume or the cumulative volume in this analysis. You have the option to either see the average and the current volume or a comparative view where you see the percent difference between now and the average.
My implementation of relative volume uses a key-value pair to simplify the process of getting the average volume for the time of day. This reduces the lines of code needed and makes it easier to understand. I have added the normal features you would find in a relative volume indicator with the addition of an average above/below average section for comparing the significance of above/below average moves are. I hope this script is not only useful but educational.

Volume inspectorThe "Volume inspector" is designed to provide a deep dive into the volume dynamics within a given larger timeframe by dissecting the positive and negative volume of candles from a lower timeframe. This analysis helps in understanding how the volume within a single candle is composed, whether it leans towards buying or selling pressure. The indicator sums up the positive and negative volumes to present the net volume in columns, offering a clear visual representation of the market's buying or selling intensity at a glance.
Additionally, it features an area between two Exponential Moving Averages (EMAs) to gauge the prevailing trend direction. A green spread between the EMAs signals strong buying pressure, with the width of the area indicating the strength of this pressure. Conversely, a red area points to selling pressure, warning users to exercise caution — it advises against buying the asset when the spread is narrow or red, suggesting weak buying momentum or strong selling momentum.
The tool recommends using daily candles as the primary timeframe for a broad market overview, with the following configurations for the lower timeframe analysis:
5 minutes for highly liquid and voluminous assets,
15 or 30 minutes for assets with lower volume to ensure accuracy without excessive market noise.
It's important to note that this indicator does not predict future market movements but rather analyzes the current behavior of the asset, making it a valuable tool for traders looking to understand immediate market sentiment and trend strength.

Volume SentimentIn 1994 Tushar Chande and Stanley Kroll published a epic book of modern trading indicators called "The New Technical Trader". I highly recommend it. Two indicators that stood out was the Market Thrust and Thrust Oscillator. They suggested these as alternatives to the Arms Index. Rather than using the Advancing Stocks and their associated volume, I applied their logic to individual bars.
Bar Sentiment can be defined and the difference between the low and the close relative to the bar width. Smaller values are bearish and larger one are bullish. A bullish candle would close above its mid-point. Conversely, a close below the candle mid-point is considered bearish.
With that, this script sums the bullish or bearish (as defined above) volume over a user defined number of bars. It gives a unique indication of the volume compared to typical volume indicators. It also gives the user the option to set a "High Volume" alert when the total volume is greater than the moving average. This is helpful for identify increasing activity in your security.
Enjoy and happy trading!
Crypto Aggregated Volume «NoaTrader»If you use volume in your crypto analysis, you may have encountered the situation which an exchange's policy change can affect your judgement falsely. For example, you can see the huge difference of volume on the given chart since binance transferred its fee discount from USDT to TUSD pair.
This script sums up volume of all major centralized exchanges ( according to coinmarketcap ) on the symbol you are visiting and has an option to exclude Binance's volume which can give you a more stable understanding for judgement when needed (and you can see the difference on the chart).
The colors also give a good vision about the relative volume in the area which can show the interest of market in trading.
The script only aggregates the same symbol on different exchanges and does not get the volume from other pairs.

Volume Accumulation Oscillator (VAO)The Volume Accumulation Oscillator (VAO) is a powerful momentum-based indicator designed to assess the strength of volume accumulation in a given asset. It helps traders identify periods of intense buying or selling pressure and potential trend reversals.
The VAO calculates the Net Volume Accumulation (NVA) by considering the volume, open, close, high, and low prices. It then applies exponential moving averages (EMAs) to smooth the NVA and calculates the VAO by comparing the smoothed NVA with its EMA over a specified signal period.
The VAO is plotted as a line chart, providing a clear visual representation of its values. Positive VAO values indicate strong bullish volume accumulation, suggesting potential upward price movement. Conversely, negative VAO values indicate significant selling pressure and the possibility of a downtrend.
To enhance the analysis, the indicator includes reference levels such as the zero line and +/-1 levels. These levels serve as important reference points for interpreting the VAO values and identifying key turning points in the market.
Additionally, the VAO histogram is included, which further illustrates the strength and direction of volume accumulation. The histogram bars are color-coded, with green bars representing positive VAO values and red bars representing negative VAO values.
The Volume Accumulation Oscillator is a versatile tool that can be used in various trading strategies. Traders can look for divergences between the VAO and the price chart to identify potential trend reversals. Combining the VAO with other technical analysis techniques can provide valuable insights into market dynamics and help traders make informed trading decisions.

Volume Divergence IndicatorThe Volume Divergence Indicator is a powerful tool that can help traders identify potential price reversals in the market by analyzing volume data. The indicator has several features, including divergences signals, volume spikes, volume contractions, and volume trend signals.
Unlike most divergence indicators, this one is focused on providing non-repainting alerts. That is why I chose not to use pivot points.
The Volume Divergence Indicator can be used as an overlay or a non-overlay. The overlay mode displays the indicator on top of the price chart, while the non-overlay mode displays the indicator below the price chart.
The indicator has five alerts that can be used to generate alerts:
Bullish Divergence : This alert is generated when prices are making lower lows, but volume is making higher lows. This suggests that the selling pressure is weakening, and a bullish reversal may be imminent.
Bearish Divergence : This alert is generated when prices are making higher highs, but volume is making lower highs. This suggests that the buying pressure is weakening, and a bearish reversal may be imminent.
Volume Spike : This alert is generated when volume spikes above a certain threshold, such as two standard deviations above the moving average. This suggests that there is unusual buying or selling activity in the market, and traders may want to pay attention to the price movements that follow.
Volume Contraction : This alert is generated when volume contracts to a certain level, such as two standard deviations below the moving average. This suggests that there is little buying or selling activity in the market, and traders may want to be cautious until volume picks up again.
Volume Trend : This alert is generated when volume trends above or below the moving average for a certain number of periods, such as five or ten. This suggests that there is a sustained increase or decrease in buying or selling pressure, and traders may want to adjust their trading strategy accordingly.
To customize the indicator settings, users can adjust the following inputs:
Choose overlay mode: select either Overlay or Non-Overlay
Price and volume lookback: set the number of bars to look back for price and volume data
Bull and bear sensitivity: adjust the sensitivity of the bullish and bearish divergences
Volume MA length: set the length of the moving average used to calculate volume spikes and contractions
Sensitivity of spikes: adjust the sensitivity of the volume spikes
Sensitivity of contractions: adjust the sensitivity of the volume contractions
Trend sensitivity: set the number of periods to identify the volume trend
The Volume Divergence Indicator can be a valuable addition to any trader's toolkit. It can help traders identify potential price reversals in the market, as well as unusual buying or selling activity.
I am open to suggestions for further updates or additions.
